- Enormous breakfast, thank you to Chloe and Cerys, the two breakfast girls for their efficient service and cheerfulness. - Very convenient location and a very atmospheric pub, dating from the early 1500s, allegedly haunted. - Well-equipped room, extremely clean and tidy, although very much on the small side, presumably due to the limitations of the building. - A big thank you to Stokey who not only made us feel very welcome when we arrived but also went the 2nd mile and deliberately went out to look for - and find! - a parking space for us right by the pub.

- Parking is extremely limited and tricky to find. If you do manage to bag a parking space, it’s advisable to leave your car there for the entirety of your stay and travel by bus if you need to go further afield. The bus service is terrific…and if you have a bus pass, as we did, you can travel free. Looe is small enough to do everything else on foot.

Landlord and Ladylady very welcoming and attentive. We arrived an hour before our check in time, no extra charges or wait to be taken to our room. As someone that cleans air bnb's and a hotel I found the room to be very clean - refreshments well stocked with bottled water, tea, coffee & biscuits. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. We didn't have an evening meal in the pub as we were out and about but the menu sounded good, again lots of choice and fairly priced. The pub itself was lovely and cosy inside and what you'd expect from a proper old boozer. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would book again.

The Inn has character and very interesting ghost stories. Met Zoe at breakfast, she is very friendly and told us the history of the Jolly Sailor. We turned up earlier for our checking in but they took our cases about 11am so we could enjoy the rest of our day. The day we where leaving we had go get our taxi 7. 30, they said that they could do a take away breakfast for us which was very good of them Lovely Inn and very nice owners and staff.

That we had to leave, wish we could have stayed longer

Friendly welcome on arrival. The site is on the quieter side of Looe which suited us. There was a ferry to cross over right by the Inn. Both the public rooms and our room were decorated to a high standard - especially as it is a 16th century building. Huge bedroom., with en suite , a sofa and ample storage. Breakfast was freshly cooked and really great. Hope to return sometime soon..

Nothing that could be changed given the building but stairs to first and second floor are very steep !!

A really comfy room with a lovely view across the bay

I I don’t like pre-ordering my breakfast for the next day that’s my only problem on the second day of our day I’d ordered another breakfast came down and couldn’t eat it. If I could’ve ordered on the day I’d just add toast with poached eggs but that’s a small thing to worry about the food and breakfast was cooked to perfection with quality ingredients. I can’t big it up enough.

Welcome from the manager and staff member when we arrived was really friendly. Called us to let us know when room was ready, which was earlier than stated so that was great. We had the king room and was so spacious and comfortable, location was ideal and owner was really helpful with the bus timetable and stop pick up location. Service at breakfast really friendly also. I also liked the choice of breakfast bap as I don’t always want a full English and liked that there were veggie sausages.

Not didn’t like, more so a suggestion. With the breakfast slip there could be an option of how eggs are wanted with the breakfast & although it’s made really clear that condiments are gladly given, it would probably be a easy to just average 4 teabags per couple per day, same with coffee and milks. We really liked it here so as said not anything we didn’t like, just suggestions.

Great location . All East and West Looe amenities within pleasant walk of property.Good breakfast choice and separate access to rooms without need to go through pub. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Free parking around property very limited. However we were given good advice where to park for free on arrival. Room perfectly comfortable but a bit tired and loud plumbing noises from adjoining rooms.

Our stay at The Jolly Sailor was only one night, but everything was perfect. From the welcome when we arrived with our cases, to the lovely room with a very comfortable bed, the spotless bathroom, and to the full English breakfast the next morning. Beautifully cooked locally resourced produce including proper butcher’s bacon (a real treat!). Thank you Zoe and Garry!
