The hotel was well located and the décor was very in keeping. Not a huge choice on the menu but sometimes this can be off putting, but what there was was very good. We saw a sign for a local National Trust building, so visited that (Croft Castle)

The only gripe would be that our room didn't have much of a view (overlooking the kitchen extension), plus the extractor fans were quite noisy for the evening, and kicked off again at 07.30 hours.

The breakfast was first c;lass. There was a choice of real ales. Decor was lovely. The landlady was not only an excellent cook, but lovely as well. We were too late to eat, but have it on good information that they also have an excellent chef. Room was lovely and there was plenty of parking. There is fun in the gardens for the children. We were directed to visit Ludlow before we left the area and it , with its castle and old buildings, is lovely.

The food is incredible. We had dinner on our first evening and it was exceptional. Breakfast was lovely.

We didn't sleep well. The location isn't great. It's at a busy cross roads by a service station. The windows area single glazed, so the rooms were very noisy, which made it difficult to sleep. This was a huge disappointment, given how beautiful the room was.

The location was an excellent starting point to visit lots of places of interest in the area. It was on a main road so quite busy however it did not affect our stay. We had supper on one evening which was very good and breakfast each morning. The staff were very friendly and the general atmosphere good. Our room was clean & comfortable.

I can't think of anything that the hotel could have improved. It was a shame a garage had been built next door- but that is not something the hotel could have any control over.

The selection for breakfast was excellent and of a high quality. The staff at breakfast were always helpful and polite. The size of the bedroom was very good as was the en suite bathroom. A conventional shower would have been preferred, the roll top bath, while excellent, was a little adventurous for two people nearing their 70ths !

There were a couple of minor issues with the room. These are inevitable on a day to day basis, what is important is how they are dealt with. Both problems had short term fixes within 20 minutes and long term fixes within the day. The only significant issue was road noise. An investment on double or even triple glazing would make a huge difference.

The decor in the bar/restaurant. Clean and bright . Large car park . Good breakfast and dinner . Nice clientele. Pleasant music in bar .

No offer of help with carrying bag upstairs. Carpet on stairs and bedroom needs cleaning , or a new one . One hook off the bedroom curtain so it was hanging down .

I liked the proximity to Ludlow. Good parking Beautifully decorated restaurant Good food Attentive staff

The view from the window-slate roof The noises in the night from I’m guessing the plumbing and air conditioning A late return means phoning for attention so we returned before lock-out time.

Nice & small, only 5 rooms to stay

Cannot believe when asked for a fresh pot of tea, I just got hot water added to the original teabag! Tea tasted awful, & really you could not give a new teabag? Shame hotel so near to a very busy main road, nobody’s fault though.

The main Breakfast was very good but unless you asked for cereal and juice you wernt offered it.

The road noise was very busy so you couldnt open the window for fresh air. Also, there was no shower, only a bath !! if you were an older couple you would have struggled with this!

Very welcoming, great food, huge breakfasts. Nothing to dislike. It is in a fairly main road but this wasn't a problem. Only a few minutes from Ludlow.

My only minor quibble was the use of vinegar to poach eggs.
