Really friendly staff, the food was excellent, good portions, the breakfast choice was really good, cooked perfectly and again ample portions

There is traffic noise in the day, being on a main road, but it does stop overnight, so does not affect your sleep. For me personally, the bed was too soft, but thats a personal choice. If you smoke, there are no outside tables or chairs to sit at, so you have to stand up on the car park by a designated wall mounted ash tray. I think they could make a small area with a couple of tables and chairs away from the main hotel, which would not impact on non smoking guests

I had asked for an accessible room and this was ground floor right next to the restaurant -very easy.The decor of the room was tasteful and a good selection of teas/coffee, toiletries etc. Both dinner and breakfast were beautifully cooked. Nice choice on menu. Glad Sunday dinner had run out as the crab was excellent. All staff were absolutely lovely. Great place to stay for a night or two if you are exploring the coast line of East Neuk of Fife. We were en-route to Anstruther for a boat trip.

The room was lovely but on the small side for moving around the beds. However Mum and I were using it as a twin - with beds together as a double is probably fine.

We had a lovely large apartment with kitchen and coffee machine. The bedroom was large with plenty of space. Our golden retriever loved the geometric rug in the lounge. We only managed to eat two evening meals in our busy schedule. Both were excellent especially grilled coley and a pheasant burger. Breakfast was a hearty Scottish breakfast and my wife had a delicious fruity porridge. The dog especially liked the toast. Car parking was spacious and easy to access off a busy road. Thank you to all the staff!

The weather,quite a lot of drizzle and wind.

The apartment was fantastic. Very spacious and comfortable. Much bigger than it looks on website photo's. Had absolutely everything required for a very comfortable stay. Bed very comfy. Shower powerful and plenty hot water. The TV was ginormous and had a great picture. Breakfast and meals in the restaurant excellent and we were allowed to have our dog with us in the bar to eat. Dog (Echo) was made very welcome and pampered by the staff. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Minor, minor detail - which I forgot to say to the staff when checking out - could be done with an ice cube tray in the freezer if I'm being very picky!

Rooms looked recently refurbished, spotless and smelled clean (not the overpowering spray, hiding a multitude of sins). The beds in both rooms were very comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. We arranged for the whole family (9 of us) to all have breakfast and again, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. Made our family get together all the more memorable for all the right reasons!! 10/10 plus.

All good here, they know what they’re doing in running a hotel. All staff very friendly and helpful and whole place scrupulous clean. The room was termed accessible as on the ground floor near the entrance. Room was comfortable with good quality fixing and fittings. Bathroom could have been slightly bigger but did have a decent size shower. The restaurant is obviously very popular with locals as always busy, with good reason as food very good and reasonably priced. We ate 2 nights out of the three we were there. B/F was also of very good standard with excellent choice. All in all it was a very good choice as it is also well situated for visiting the East Neuk. Highly recommend.

The creaking bathroom folding door!

The staff were exceptionally friendly. Breakfast was good.

Room was very small. Position of beds far to close to the toilet (which had an inadequate folding door which needs oiled as noisy) didn't offer much privacy. Also awoken about 6am ish by very noisy glass bins being moved outside our ground floor bedroom window. Then about 7.30ish the reception area outside our bedroom door was being vacuumed, as I'm on holiday I was looking forward to a lie in, but sadly sleep was disturbed. Having said all that the room was clean and the bed comfortable.I would stay again as staff were lovely but wouldn't stay in room 3.

The food was really nice and well cooked, the staff were very friendly and the room very well situated I would recommend eating in the restaurant, I had the steak and it was delicious. The breakfasts were good too. I rarely give 10's but I will be going back next time I am up that way again.

There must have been a knack to locking the front door when I arrived back and a handle or something to pull or lift on would be a good addition because I had to leave it unlocked but I mentioned it to staff the following morning.

everything, we could not fault this property in any way. staff were lovely welcoming and very friendly, the entire place was spotless clean, room was very comfortable with THE BEST BED ever!! we didn’t order dinner as it was an unexpected stay and we had already eaten just before arrival but the breakfast was amazingly good and lastly even with gas and electric prices the way they are the entire hotel was lovely and toasty warm.

Exceptional hospitality, an upgrade freely offered without asking. The accommodation was superb, the heating brilliant especially in the middle of a cold snap, a firm comfortable bed, a duvet more warming than your favourite log fire. Food in the Award Winning restaurant couldn’t be faulted both for the evening meal and also for breakfast. And. And if that wasn’t enough the staff were magnificent, they made the hotel a home from home, absolutely the best.
