location was excellent and room was nice with a very large double bed

I was informed that I would pay at property but they charged my card before I arrived and I didn’t want to pay by card. I only guaranteed the room with the card and was meant to pay on arrival!!

The best thing about this hotel was the friendly and helpful staff. They let us have our bags delivered in the morning and looked after them the following day until they were collected. They booked a taxi for us at a good price and even found the charger we had left in the room and sent it on with our luggage. Thank you all for your help.

All meals on the menu rather big and heavy. Something lighter or smaller portions would have been nice.

Staff super helpful and friendly. Rooms have been recently refurbished. Very comfortable bed, liked the room style. Good to have an iron in the room. Bar and restaurant good.

The floorboards were really creaky so caused a bit of a disturbed sleep when people were passing the room. Room was a bit hot so maybe some fans for use would also be good.

The hotel is within 5 minutes walk to the beach. And sat on the edge of the town perfect position for both. There is a lovely shopping area with a few good shops , pubs take aways ect . Lidl across the road from hotel too. Never saw staff to speak with. They stayed in office.

Furniture tiered, and no lift for disabled people or those with heavy suitcases.

A nice little hotel, started off well, great staff at reception dealing with some difficult customers (not us) highly professional…well done. When check in complete, we even received a 20% discount voucher for meals during our stay. Whilst the room was a little dated it was clean (spotless) and very large. Still a bath rather than walk in shower but no real complaints there. The food in restaurant was damn good too. Would prefer that breakfast was included in price (happy to pay extra when booking).

Recerption could have been better manned. Even when the bell was rung it could take a while for someone to appear.

location a little noisy from passing people going to takeaway opposite. flooring in roo. very creaky I would say a little understaffed left waiting at check in..at dinner for table same at breakfast due to staff doing other duties not because they not attentive

Our room was a fantastic size - we were at a family wedding and it meant the family could come in to see us. We made a few requests over the two days we stayed and nothing was too much trouble to the staff. Great value for money and it was a quiet hotel to sleep in.

Really tastefully decorated, big room. Quiet and lovely view of Largo Law and sea. Dinner is as one of the best meals I had in ages. Very pleasantly surprised at how nice the the Caledonian was

More info in the rooms on breakfast times. I have as told verbally but turned up a 9 am for breakfast and it finished at 9…
