Location excellent for football or cricket. Breakfast, bar and restaurant are all good-the food in the restaurant is pitched at the sports audience and is fine after a days rain at the cricket. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The car park is not accessed on the same road as the hotel. This means that dropping off bags mean you have to risk traffic wardens and park in the taxi rank. When I arrived, around 7pm, for some reason which looked to be coaches for players or something being moved, the entry to Trafford Wharf way and Victoria place was closed off totally and there was no way to access the car park at all. A frustrating 40 minutes later driving round and round Trafford park being given wrong directions by men in high vis jackets ensued. If it happens to you I would just go direct to the hotel down Wharfside way and leave the problem with them!

Exterior was great. Interior, as soon as you walk in, is modern and welcoming. Spotlessly clean throughout. All Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. View from our room - of the Stadium - was amazing. Room had Blackout Curtains - these were so good that we slept until 9:45 (not our usual sleep pattern), and the room was still pitch black. A lovely touch was the birthday card that was waiting for us in the room, for my partners birthday that weekend. The fact that there’s a football pitch upstairs, on the roof, was awesome. You don’t HAVE to be up there to play a game, you can just go up to enjoy the panoramic views of the city and the surrounding hills. Tram stop is a mere 5 minute walk across the road, at the riverside.

The shower sprayed quite far - past the glass - soaking the floor and the mat we’d put down.

I booked early in advance when I bought my so I got a really reasonable price. I am blind in one eye & have had numerous brain surgeries which made me feel apprehensive & a little nervous ahead of the trip as it was the most adventurous & nervous thing I have done in the last 4 years but my mindset is to live life & enjoy regardless of abilities & disabilities. I was cabin crew for 17 years & have stayed all over the world in many “chain hotels” I have to say the Football hotel exceeded any expectations I may have had the location, the rooms, the presentation & upkeep of the hotel was exceptional…. But above all the staff on reception were the biggest assets friendly, helpful & typically welcoming as Northern people are 😊

Rooms were beautiful, and the shower was the best i’ve ever had. included a lovely bath as well. free minifridge with some small sweets in it restocked every day. bed very comfy and view lovely

staff were a tiny bit rude, which would normally be fine if it weren’t for the price you’re paying to stay with them! we were ignored at breakfast and had to go and find someone to take our order after a long wait, they kept seating people next to us and serving them! location could be better, not brilliant access into town but if you’re only there for a concert or the footie it’s brilliant!

The hotel aspect of things is very nice but I would recommend they get soft close toilet seats!

The cafe football let the experience down. At lunch on our arrival day, food was forgotten off our order, this was rectified buy it took awhile to get someone's attention and then the food be cooked by which time we had finished our other food nearly. Breakfast in the morning was not a great experience, the member of staff who met and seated us seemed unhappy and rushed and it wasn't particularly welcoming. My order was taken wrong and half of the order was missing, so the food was taken back and then returned as soon as possible, the service at this part was fine but the food was a let down. I'd ordered scrambled egg on toast with a couple of extras....the egg was originally missed off and 2 slices of toast were about 50% toasted and the rest being burnt, some edible and some not.

This really is an amazing hotel. It is situated right next to Old Trafford and the location is fantastic. we had a class of 92 Room and it had an amazing view of Old Trafford. The hotel is so affordable, the football theme running through the hotel/restaurant just makes it that bit more special. The staff were great, no faults to this place at all! We enjoyed dinner and breakfast and the breakfast was delicious and very affordable too. This Hotel is perfect for any football lover. The rooms are incredibly clean, stylish and the complimentary snacks in our fridge were the icing on the cake, thanks hotel football!

We were really impressed with Hotel Football. The friendly staff welcome, spotlessly clean room and great hosts in the restaurant. Really genuine hospitality and it's obvious the staff enjoy working there. We stayed one night before my son Diego did a football trial and it was a great inspiration for the stay. He loved taking a few shots up on the roof terrace astro pitch as well. Delicious dinner was served swiftly and with a smile. Breakfast was also exceptional with great coffee, fruits, pastries as well as hot food to order. We were warmly greeted by all departments and would love to stay there again.

What a great experience, staff so friendly and accommodating. As it was my sons 12th birthday I asked if possible for a stadium view, the staff were so obliging.. My son was thrilled. Check in and out was seamless. The room was very clean, comfy beds and pillows. The roof top pitch is a bonus. Location is ideal if visiting Old Trafford, the area is safe and clean. What a wonderful trip, and 12th birthday for my son.

The buffet breakfast was good, however the hot food was a tasteless, could do with a little extra flavor and care.

Excellent hotel ... Booked for a stay before an early morning Old Trafford Tour with my 9 year old Son. He loved the place ... the rooms ... the stocked fridge, the restaurant AND hE absolutely LOVED the football pitch on the roof/9th floor. In fact we went up 3 times on the 1st day and again on the 2nd day. We will definitely be back - my Son had asked to come back to :the best hotel he has ever stayed in". Breakfast was lovely too & it was great to have plenty of choice on the menu.

Nothing ... we loved the hotel and will be back.

Great position. I came to run the Manchester marathon and it was only 10 minutes walk

The bedside lights are pointless. I like reading in bed but the lights are too far away and hardly give any light! Also the receptionist try to charge us for 2 x breakfast and 2x dinner even if we specify only one morning for breakfast and once dinner. It was all sorted and paid on arrival and yet we been asked again to pay on checking out. Of course we refuse to pay again. You need to sort your system! Fell sorry for the receptionist but not paying twice just because some of them don't do their job properly! Apart of that our stay was lovely and breakfast was exceptional
