The room was lovely and warm, nice furniture and clean everywhere especially the bathroom
The decor is quite outdated across the whole building. There was a low part of the ceiling in the bathroom of the room we stayed in (room 26) and there is no sign saying mind your head. My partner is 6'3" and hit his head multiple times... Also, the morning that we were checking out it was only 10am and check out was 11, a member of staff tried a key in our door to open it to clean but we were still there getting dressed, they should have knocked on first to see if anyone was still there, not very happy about that.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I booked two rooms as my two grown up children were both staying in one and their room was very clean and spacious. Our room was also clean and comfortable. The breakfast was all very nice.
When we were at breakfast our room was cleaned although we hadn't booked out. We had left our flasks next to the kettle to fill up before checking out and when we got to the room they had been removed. We found them outside another room further along in a bag with the rubbish. We mentioned this on checking out and the receptionist was very apologetic. Was a mistake and at least we got them back.

Firstly, all of the staff were excellent in their communication, friendliness and helpfulness-full marks to them all.We enjoyed both breakfast and evening meal twice and considered them to be not only of a good quality but also a good price. As a vegan,I was more than happy with what I had to eat,oat milk and vegan spread provided with no problem. The twin rooms were adequate for the price with comfortable beds and good power showers and flushes for the loos.
Overall, the hotel probably needs a lick of paint and a touch of tlc.The bathrooms in the guest rooms could use a shelf over the basin to provide a home for tooth cleaning products etc..The basin in Room 45 probably needs unblocking as any used water took ages to drain away.

Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The room was cosy, clean and exactly what we needed for our overnight stay. The bed was comfy and clean, great water pressure and quick to heat up shower. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant in the evening, it was delicious as well as very well priced. Our server was really friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The quality of the food was better than some high end places we have stayed and for a fraction of the price. I'd recommend getting the breakfast there too if you stay, great options and well priced. Next time we are in the area we will be staying again!

The room I got was perfect for my needs. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was extremely handy. The breakfast was quite good too and in my opinion worth the price but I think I'll stick to a day by day basis next time since there were many great breakfast options in the area.
Toilet seat was askew but very functional. The stopper for the sink was set too low so the drainage was slow. The lack of an informational sheet or booklet gave me no confidence in using the phone the contact reception or try order room service in case I couldn't leave my room.

My fiancé and I travelled up for Alton Towers and this place was such good value so we took a punt and booked. We weren't expecting anything special for the money but it was actually really pleasant. The room was nice and clean, the staff from the cleaning ladies to the reception were very friendly and it was quiet in the nights. We slept well and parking was free which was great. The breakfast and dinner menus also looked nice, but we didn't have a chance to have anything this time. We'll definitely look to book again next year when we revisit Alton Towers!
There wasn't really any issues at all!

The hotel is so well positioned, and the parking is free and on site. We stayed in the original building, which is dated, but clean, and the room was adequate. The bed was wonderful I slept really well and despite being on the road didn't hear a thing. Breakfast was OK. Coffee was perfect. Service super friendly. I surprised there weren't more guests I'd definitely stay again.
Our omelettes a little small and on its own on the plate, and not actually folder over, but the toast made up for it. Shower also a little small but the water pressure and temperature were perfect. Washed my very long hair in no time.

Great value for money The breakfast was very good Parking was free most of the staff clearly vey good at their job Ran out of milk and the night staff gave me a big jug of milk rather than portions Stopped in the Annex, Barring the odd hair in the bathroom, it was clean
The carpet in the restaurant has a big split, would be better if it was covered using carpet tape or carpet join bar Showing signs of what I expect is high turn over, could do with a little tlc Couple of the staff seemed like they were new and needed training The curtain in the backroom did not stop the shower from wetting the floor, slip hazard, all it needs is a small plastic sheet or adda new tile at an angle to stop this happening Toilet top cracked

Very spaciuos, comfortable and clean room. Lovely deep bath in spacious bathroom, spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Odd to have a trouser press but no hairdrier in the room. Would have liked to see herbal tea or decaff tea/coffee options in the room. Dining room was pleasantly quiet with no annoying music, great to be able to relax in quiet surroundings. Dinner was fantastic, service was great, food on hot plates, something of a rareity these dates. Very enjoyable dinner, and on the basis of this, I decided to order breakfast. Overall, I would definitely recommend an overnight saty, and definitely recommend dining in the restauarnt, but give breakfast a big pass, it really let the whole experience down. Staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful all round.
I can't comment on the cooked breakfast, as I had eggs benedict, but overall the breakfast was a massive let down. "Continental Breakfast " was not that at all and really shouldn't be called continental, which usually consists of meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, baguettes and rolls, and sweet pastries. What was served was a standard English cold breakfast of tinned fruit, toast and yoghurt. The only thing Continental about it was the 8 miniscule soggy pastries on 1 plate. The eggs benedict consisted of undercooked muffin, overcooked poached eggs, and packet plastic ham topped with carton or ready mix hollandaisse. So disappointing after the excellent dinner the night before.

Exceptional value for money. Good size room with all the basics (tea/ coffee, kettle) plus extra pillows and towels. Comfortable bed Food in the bar was lovely and well priced. Friendly staff on reception, bar, restaurant and the cleaning team. I had the best cappuccino from the restaurant team while watching the Women’s World Cup Final- thank you!
As others have said, my room in the annex was definitely ‘tired’ and could do with some care and attention for aesthetic purposes (eg, large hole in the back of the bathroom door not very well filled in) but honestly, it doesn’t spoil your stay and considering the price, it would not stop me rebooking again.
