It's one of the best places we've stayed in! Lovely room, very comfortable and all the facilities you could want, including a kettle with tea, coffee, sugar & hot chocolate in the room, with a couple of packets of biscuits, too! The cute teddy on the bed was a nice welcome touch :) The communal kitchen had lots of choices for a continental breakfast and a Nespresso machine, washer, dryer, fridge, toaster, and a side table and barstools to be able to sit and eat in comfort. Everyone was very welcoming, especially Justin behind the bar and we were so lucky that he was still waiting for us on day 1 as we didn't realise that check-in ended at 9 pm (we arrived at 9:30). Matt brought us fresh towels on day two and supplied us with extra coffee and sugar. Noting was too much trouble here. Highly recommended!

Nothing! Everything was perfect. :D I only wish we could've stayed another 2 nights (we stayed 3 in total), but they were fully booked, so my tip would be to book early to ensure you don't miss out!

Check in nice and easy. Parking not a problem just off the main road in residential a side street. Didnt have breakfast (personal choice) opted for the oatcake shop across the road, but did make use of the orange juice available. The rooms were nice, a little warm although a fan was provided. Clean and comfortable. Furniture a little dated but suited the accommodation. I used this hotel as it was perfect location for what i wanted, visiting family locally. It is great base for local attractions, Trentham Gardens always a personal favourite.

Unfortunately the area is a little run down, but dont let this affect your stay here.

Located in a Quaint little pub. Justin who was there to greet us on arrival and during our stay was brilliant, a great representation for the owners. anything we asked was dealt with quickly and graciously. Such a warm welcome when drinking in the bar. Great chats with Justin and the locals too. The room itself was well equipped and storage for clothes and case. spacious en-suite and water pressure in the shower was excellent (wish my own was as good at home). Fully equipped Kitchen to use including washing machine and dryer. Breakfast supplies plentiful and catered to different dietary requirements with gluten free cereals. But if there was anything you wanted that wasn’t there or Lidl and Sainsbury’s was an easy walk just down the road. Bus stop nearby to go into stoke city centre. train station was a 15min walk at most.

Only downside during the stay was unfortunately only one decaf pod for the nespresso, honestly can’t fault the place.

Lovely rooms - clean and comfortable with en-suite facilities Nice hot shower. Tastefully decorated. Friendly bar staff showed us to our rooms and he found us more tea bags and re stocked milk as there wasn’t much in the fridge. Clean kitchen stocked with a few breakfast items like bread and cereal for you to make your breakfast with. Managed to park in a nearby street.

I knew the accommodation was above a pub so I was fully prepared for there to be noise during pub hours, but there were really loud people in the beer garden until after 1am, which was below my window. Would have given a 10 score otherwise.

I stayed in room 3 for 4 nights. The room was smaller than room 1, which was not a problem. The bathroom was smaller, too. It was big enough airy,it had everything I needed and wasn't too bad at all. The bed was comfortable. The room was facing the main road, so a little noise, but the windows were great at reducing it. The shops are close. The people in the pub were lovely too, and the staff were always welcoming. The communal kitchen was lovely and clean. Perfect and convenient to get to Uni.

Sometimes, the bathroom smelt like someone had been smoking in there. I don't smoke. That was annoying it didn't happen often, but enough that i noticed. They provided you with tea bags at the property, but I didn't like them, so I brought my own. The only other downside and this is nothing to do with the pub, but on my last night there the other guests in a different room were loud and kept banging the kitchen door.

Our host was welcoming, with a genuinely warm manner & couldn't be more helpful. The room was excellent. Spacious, very clean & tidy. The bed comfy. The communal kitchen & breakfast set-up was well thought through, prepared & laid out for all the guests. The locals frequenting the bar were very respectful at stop tap & at closing up, when they were leaving. Parking in the street alongside the accommodation was more than adequate

The Saturday night Kar-e-okee in the bar downstairs, was.... an experience. Ear plugs are definitely a must! Unfortunately, the local area & the city centre, had a jaded, tired feel to it.

Great value for money. Good location. We stayed here to break up the journey from Glasgow to London. Our room was very spacious. Large comfortable bed. Very nicely decorated. Kitchen available for all guests. This is where the continental style breakfast is available. Each room has a security code that’s the last 4 digits of the person who booked the room’s mobile number, which was handy.

The stairs up to the rooms were very steep. Not that easy if you’re carrying suitcases. The room & en-suite were very clean but the bathroom smelled damp, the sink didn’t drain very well.

This place is brilliant, it has everything you need and more, friendly local pub downstairs (which doesn't cause to much noise and really quiets down at around 10pm on a Friday might I add), Excellent staff whom are friendly and professional (they really have gone above board to renovate the place and make it as comfy as possible to stay, the room itself was amazing and had more stuff for the guest than most places I've stayed (for example not 1 other place I stayed give you hot chocolate drinks (I mean c'mon what more can you ask for!? You want cookies too!!?? Well here's a shocker they provide them as well) , great value for money, self service kitchen which has a washer, dryer, iron and full kitchen which is fully stocked for breakie stuff and a bit more, I travel quite a lot all year round, and this is the literal best place I've stayed in yrs, (I'd even say they give The Hilton garden hotel competition with the price, and yes I've stayed there too). Overall I'd rate this place a solid 10 out of 10. And will be most certainly staying again if the place is available. Ps this is a honest review from a genuine customer. Sabastian.

There wasn't anything to grumble about at all.. It was a pleasure to stay for the night at half the price of many other options locally.

Landlord was very welcoming and helpful. The room was a decent size and the bed was big and very comfy. I liked having the use of the communal kitchen. The room was very clean and had a very homely feel to it. The TV had many channels and apps on it. Had everything you need really, can't fault the room at all.

My only complaint is I wish there were a few more options for the continental breakfast, I was expecting more things like croissants, pancakes, fruit juice...etc. The options we had weren't bad at all but could have done with some more choices, such as croissants, pancakes, fruit juices...etc.

From our arrival and meeting Steve the boss we were really impressed. A cheery friendly greeting, a thorough explanation of the facilities and how the key codes work and then shown to our spotlessly clean room, complete with Beany Bear, our two night stay was exceptional. The breakfast is help yourself buffet style but the kitchen is well equipped with cereals, breads, jams, croissants and even eggs plus you are free to bring your own food in to cook, we had bacon rolls. The pub staff, and customers were also very friendly and made us feel welcome. Steve has everything under control and never seems to stop working. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely return
