The decor throughout the house was immaculate, our room and bathroom were tastefully decorated, both were a good size with great facilities and were comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, and Lisa was very accommodating when my partner requested a mix of the options available. Nothing was too much trouble. Both lisa and Mark were lovely, so friendly and helpful, they really made us feel welcome and at home. They do have some house rules like removing your shoes on entry, but personally I was happy to do this as the carpets were immaculate and I find it respectful to honour their request. The outside garden area was lovely and had loads of wild flowers and climbing roses, it really fitted to the outside of the house and was a beautiful view out of our bedroom window. The location for us was great, positioned close to Porth beach and lusty glaze beach. It was about a 40-minute walk into Newquay centre, but we always went the coastal path, not the road, which is quicker. There is a fantastic little pub just minutes away called farmers' arms, which is not expensive and served excellent food, everyone in there was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. There is ample free parking at the church next to the pub. I would not hesitate in recommending this beautiful little guest house complete with the two most friendliest hosts.

There was nothing to dislike

We absolutely loved the garden that you walk into to get to the property! It was stunning - a hidden secret garden kinda vibe! The room we stayed in was a lockdown project and was just outstanding, Mark had made the garden room just so quaint and beautiful! The bed was comfy, the bathroom was very well done and even felt a little boujee!! Just felt like you were in your own little cabin! The breakfast offerings were delicious and accompanied by enjoyable conversation with hosts and other guests, Mark and Lisa have a good knowledge of the area and can recommend activities well! They are both super friendly and have outstanding customer service! It genuinely felt like you were in your friends house rather than a B&B!! Very homely, clean, peaceful and welcoming! We were recommending the place straight away!!

It was a great place to stay like home from home. Mark and Lisa were super responsive and very accommodating to various ideas and request I had for our surprised anniversary get away. Nothing was too big to ask and they got the memo spot on my partner loved it!!! The location is very close by to town and walking distance. Mark and Lisa both have a foundation of local knowledge and very keen to share their love for the local area! As for breakfast Lisa makes a fab scrambled eggs with herbs on toasted muffins and salmon (option for bacon instead) sounds so simple but my goodness was delishous and Mark whips up just as equally fab pancakes with fruit and Greek yoghurt! Overall we had a lovely relaxed break and couldn't have been more comfortable and welcomed to penwthy house. Very much looking forward to book again soon!

Only very very minor issue and this is generally for newquay is car parking can be a little busy. However we personally didn't have any issues either locally at the house or within the town however there's local taxis if you're not driving and not far from nearest rail station. Otherwise can't fault the hosts or property!!

The room was absolutely beautiful lovely view of the garden and it was spotless,i have never been in such a clean and spotless room. Lovely fresh bedding ,nice soft towels replaced every day. I could not fault anything. Had a good selection at breakfast time cooked or none cooked, we had toasted muffins with herb infused scrambled eggs with topping of either smoked salmon or crispy pancetta finished with tomatoes and mushrooms, delicious

Absolutely nothing we had no complaints what so ever.

The property was absolutely lovely. Amazing attention to detail, unique and comfortable, both inside the Inn as well as it's surrounding garden. Mark and Lisa were incredible hosts and did their best to make all their guests feel welcomed. I loved the quiet neighborhood, the narrow streets and the proximity to the sea. We spent most of our time walking along the Southwest Coastal Path to admire the views.

We didn't have a car, so the location was a bit further from Newquay than I'd realized, but we enjoyed the walks and a chance to explore the area.

Penwyth House is in the perfect location for exploring Cornwall and has an good selection of local amenities. Breakfast was delicious, our room was exceptionally clean and the hosts were fantastic! Thank you Mark and Lisa for making us feel so welcome and for providing us with some excellent recommendations both prior to and during our seven day stay. We highly recommend Penwyth House to anyone looking for a 'home away from home' stay.

Nothing, we couldn't fault our stay.

The accommodation was exceptional, beautifully decorated, plenty of space in the room, there is a lovely little garden you can sit in which was perfect for our weekend as it was sunny… great selection of breakfast, hubby had smoked salmon scrambled eggs and herbs on muffin’s and I had pancakes with fresh fruit, Greek yogurt and syrup.. there are also many other delicious options. We walked to the main Newquay centre which took us 45mins but it’s a beautiful walk.. the house is situated in a quiet quaint village ( exactly what we wanted) we would 100% go back there. Lisa and mark are excellent host, very friendly and go that extra mile to make sure you have everything you need.

There is nothing for us that we would change

Lisa and Mark were very welcoming and went out of their way to make you feel at home. Our room was exceptional and the cleanliness was superb, for us it was home from home. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone and when we visit Cornwall again will look them up. You can see, they love what they do and put their hearts and soul into it. Thank you both for a wonderful stay.

The hosts Mark and Lisa are so welcoming, friendly and attentive hosts. They have great local knowledge and gave some great recommendations for how to get the most out of our short trip to Newquay. The Garden Room is quirky and well presented with some really nice personal touches. The family of Whippets made our stay even better. They are the most gorgeous dogs 🐕

Property is very nice and clean! The Crantock room we stayed in was quite spacious and had a shower and also a bathtub in the room! The room was tidy and the design was lovely! Both Lisa and Mark are great people! Loved our morning breakfast chats! Breakfast was also tasty and loved it every morning! We felt very welcome! Also loved the dogs! They are the most well behaved Pets we ever met!

I can’t say that it was something we did not like! I highly recommend staying here
