Room was very big with separate sitting area Spotless clean very well decorated comfortable superking bed excellent views was easy parking on hotel grounds host at reception desk he was very friendly helpful altogether a very enjoyable experience would highly recommend this hotel

Nothing to dislike

On the positive side the hotel is very well situated with lots of local amenities on the doorstep. After a long drive my wife and I were warmly welcomed at reception and throughout our stay we found all members of the hotel staff very courteous and helpful. In particular I would like thank the hard working housekeeping workforce for the excellent standard in which our room was maintained. It was a pleasure coming back to it after a long day exploring.

On the negative side there are only 8 parking slots available onsite however there is also a council parking which can work out expensive. Oban is very much a gridlocked town so free parking is almost nonexistent. Thanks to the hotel staff we eventually found a free parking area within walking distance located to the north of the town. As for the hotel itself I think the decor is a little outdated and could perhaps do with renewing in some areas but still keeping the period appeal.

The location is unmatched in Oban – make sure you book a sea view room and you’ll have amazing views out towards Kerrera, Lismore and Mull – and the staff are also very friendly. We had a huge twin room with massive windows, and althought that meant that (in November) it was cold when the heating wasn't on, there were two very powerful space heaters/radiators attached to the walls which more than kept the room cosy.

The breakfast was passable, but that was about it – we felt that the sausages were a bit low-quality and tasted almost a little sticky (?) somehow. And the water pressure in our shower was very low, though it was still enough to wash under, and definitely hot enough too.

Great location on waterfront at harbor. Plenty of on-site parking. Some parking allocated to hotel, other spaces in lot were free overnight, so no problem there. Very convenient to local pubs and restaurants. Nicely sized rooms. All around good location and good stay. Really fun little pub fight across the street - check it out. PLUS, Oban Distillery is right there!

lovely friendly and very helpful staff , great breakfasts and perfect location . It's a wonderful old building right on the sea front and harbour and close to everything . great we balcony area was a bonus in their bar and nice Italian restaurant on the ground floor . good parking outside too

Electric heating quite good and extra blankets in the wardrobe but windows probably need double glazing at some point as some condensation. Im sure it's in their plans for the future. The lift is ancient but works fine and a bit of an adventure!!
