Brecbennoch is in Ganavan around a mile from Oban there are buses but not many after 6 p.m. but taxis from Oban are plentiful or around 30 minutes walk. Road though from Oban to Ganavan is tight in places with some sections with no pavement. The house is easy to find right on the corner. The owner was delightful and the room would not be out of place in a 5 star hotel. Lovely furnishings, great bed and a fantastic bathroom. For information the rooms are up a short straight length of stairs if you have mobility issues. I will choose Brecbennoch the next time I am visiting Oban.

Nothing its great

I recently stayed at this charming bed and breakfast and it exceeded my expectations. The standout feature of this establishment was its exceptional cleanliness. From the spotless linens to the immaculate bathrooms. One of the things I appreciated most about this B&B was the self-service breakfast. The variety of options was truly impressive, with everything from a wide selection of cereals, breads, and yogurts to the boiled egg machine which was particularly convenient, allowing me to make a hot and healthy breakfast without any hassle. The coffee pod machine was also a nice touch, allowing me to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee each morning.

The room I selected wasn’t en-suite however the cleanliness made up for this minor inconvenience.

Brecbennoch B&B in Oban is truly a hidden gem that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the host, who made us feel right at home. Their hospitality was exceptional & they went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable & enjoyable. One of the standout features of Brecbennoch was the immaculate cleanliness of the property. The common areas & our bedroom & bathroom were spotlessly clean & well-maintained. We really did feel reassured that the highest standards of cleanliness were being maintained during our stay. The buffet style continental breakfast was a real treat. There was a fantastic variety of fruit, cereals, cheeses, meats, yoghurts & juices on offer & everything was of the highest quality. I particularly enjoyed the boiled eggs & soldiers & endless cups of coffee which was the perfect way to start my day. The accommodation itself was simply delightful. The room was spacious, comfortable & cosy with all the amenities you would expect from a high-end B&B. The bed was extremely comfortable & we slept soundly at night. The decor was charming & homely & the overall atmosphere of the B&B was relaxing & peaceful. The view from our room was particularly stunning. Overall, I would highly recommend Brecbennoch to anyone looking for a comfortable & welcoming place to stay in Oban. The warm & friendly hospitality of the host, combined with the immaculate cleanliness, buffet style continental breakfast & comfortable & cosy rooms, made for an unforgettable stay & we can't recommend it enough.

Great location, away from the town centre. Only a few minutes walk to the beach. Room was spotless, clean, and the bed was comfy. Kitchen was clean, in fact everything about the house was in tip top condition. Great choice for breakfast - not cooked. However that was fine by me as their was a large selection of juice, cereals, yoghurts, fruit, cheese and croissants. Nice touch having a small fridge in your room and as a bonus a large screen flat screen tv plus free Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi useful if you need to do work online or contact family.

Location is fantastic with beautiful views and stunning sunsets. The bedroom was stylishly furnished with quality modern furnishings and a very comfy bed. The en-suite was large enough and again modern in style. Breakfast room was communal seating and had every breakfast cereal imaginable.

Nothing to dislike about this property. It’s a bit far out of Oban so you definitely need a car but as for the B&B itself I would give it 100 percent and will definitely book again.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here. Tracy was a brilliant hostess. The room had the best view ever, we could have sat at that window for hours. The location is superb, out of the bustle of central Oban but within easy reach of all facilities. The beach is just along the road, it’s gorgeous. The room was spotless and had everything you could possibly need,Tracy had thought of everything. Same with breakfast, a great choice. We would return in a heartbeat.

Wonderful view, good comfortable bed. Bedroom was of a good size, nicely furnished. Friendly Host. Working heat! Fruit in the room.

Was hard to find. Both Google maps & the rental car nav system placed us a half mile short of destination. Bathroom was pretty small, tiny sink, no shelving, but with a decent sized shower. Breakfast was pretty minimal:but adequate. Not a fan of Keurig coffees, but, oh well.

Very clean, help yourself to a continental breakfast, which suited us, with plenty of choice. Would have preferred king sized bed and a little softer but this is just our personal preference. Lovely big soft towels! Property is great but a good 45 minute walk into Oban on a road without paths at some points so further than away than we expected.

Location beautiful but would be even better if it had been a 20 min walk rather a good 45 mins.

Very peaceful, scenic location. Great breakfasts (self-service): wide choice of cereals, fresh milk, eggs, egg-boiling machine, yoghurts, juice, tea, proper coffee-making machine (pods), fresh fruit at breakfast and in the room, friendly hosts and incredible relaxing sea views. Very friendly and helpful hosts - even posted back items I'd left behind. Beautiful, well-maintained gardens. Modern and very clean.
