the beds where comfy and the room was very spacious

when we arrived, the room stunk of smoke as if someone had been smoking in there, all of us said this too! the telly didn’t work at first, we ordered a family room but only got two cups for drinks…we was going to a concert the night we stayed and the receptionist said ring the late night number displayed outside and someone will let you in, we was stood waiting half an hour as the number we was ringing was going straight to Tescos mobile, we had to wait till another customer walked by to let us in and it was raining and cold and late!

Staff were friendly and welcoming, on arrival i was told we had booked a different type of room, so showed my email confirming what i had booked. Manager assisted us and reassured us, we also had rooms on different floors and not close together, my friend has a guide dog and is unable to see, they kindly moved her downstairs on ground floor to room opposite mine, both doubles and at no extra cost, i was truly grateful, rooms very clean, bed was comfy and we were made welcome, my 8 yesr old daughter was estatic about being able to watch youtube in our room. Only downside was how far away from city centre they were but that was down to me.

Next day when we went to breakfast i was told breakfast was not booked and again had to show my proof this was frustrating after having the initial error with the rooms. Again i felt i had to explain myself, think communication within could be improved on. Also if we are shown the breakfasts cereals are in a different area to the cooked breakfasts which is buffet style, for a lady with visual impairment this could have been thought about but breakfast was nice

The girl who was the Operations manager (I think her name was Vicky but I'm not sure) when I told her in the late afternoon of my last day (sunday) about the fact my room hadn't been cleaned kindly moved me to a clean room which also had a bath so at least for one night I didn't have to sit on the floor of the shower to have a wash. The bar staff were all great and Darrell the night guy was great. I often wake a silly times and would go out for a cigarette and he was so very nice and we would exchange stories of when I used to work in the hotel industry.

Firstly, I booked a deluxe double with a bath as I have MS and I could very easily fall in the shower. Once I arrived they had none with a bath left even though on this site there was the option for rooms with a bath or with a shower. Secondly the hotel clearly has an issue with damp as the plaster was coming off the wall around the window Lastly by the time it go to my last night my room hadn't been cleaned once, I hadn't even been given clean towels until the 3rd night and I spoke with the night guy (Darrell, very helpful and nice guy) and he gave me some clean towels.

Excellent breakfast. Staff very welcoming Room very comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities. Carpet was somewhat dirty though. some kind of animal hair on the floor! did not get to stay in the room for the booked duration as wife had to go to A&E on the first night and me slept in the car the whole night.

Carpet was quite dirty. did not seem to have been properly hoovered as I could see some kind of animal hair on the floor.

The room was a good size and there were 4 beds in the family room so plenty of space for us 3 friends. There was an ironing board and iron in the cupboard and tea-making facilites so perfect for us!

There were only 2 mugs and 2 glasses in the family room - should've had at least 4.

All in all it was a pretty decent stay - staff are really lovely and friendly and do their best to meet your needs, although they are a little stretched the girls work really hard and keep smiling throughout!

2 single beds pushed together in an Executive room. One single obviously had more use than the other one which made it about 2 inches lower than its twin. You end up sleeping in a single bed as you can clearly feel the difference which is quite uncomfortable.

Lovely decor in room. Good storage. Great tv. Comfortable bed and great view, not overlooked. Lots of green outside. Would stay again 🙂

Room was lovely, however thought there would be a hairdryer. Also, there was only one small bottle of body wash but by the description of double deluxe room was led to believe that there would be a sufficient supply of toiletries. Shower very slippy so could have done with an anti slip mat. Few dust webs on ceiling in bathroom.

Clean and good size rooms. Staff were friendly. Offered to change our room but couldnt swap our twin for another twin.

No warning to there being a party until 2am in the function hall. Our room was directly above. Made driving 6 hours home the next day very challenging.

This is a beautiful hotel. They room was lovely, clean and spacious. Bed was so comfortable and the shower was amazing! It was a lovely stay. Free on-site parking, which is always a plus. Didn't have any food or anything to comment on as it was a flying visit. But I would definitely stay here again.

Room was spacious, comfy and clean. All staff we spoke to were amazing, especially Steve and Terry who made us feel very welcome. Witnessed Beth on reception (who was lovely) dealing with an exceptionally rude customer in a calm and professional manner. Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
