I arrived and there was an initial issue with the room I was put into, the problem was dealt with quickly and professionally and I was moved to another room straight away. The rooms were beautifully decorated, mine had an amazing roll top bath and separate shower and was very comfortable, there is no air con but it wasn't needed. More importantly for a single female traveling alone I felt safe staying here due to the extra key locks to get from the restaurant to the rooms. Food in the restaurant was very much the standard you'd expect from Miller and Carter, what made it better was the service from the staff who carried my food up to my room for me so I didn't have to sit in the restaurant on my own. Breakfast options were plentiful and I even overheard them offering things that were not on the menu to a couple who asked. All in all will definitely stay again next time I am in Liverpool

I was a bit unsure of the check in process on arrival as you had to go into the restaurant, maybe this could be explained a little bit better on the website or check in email No Air con - not needed at that time so didn't impact me , but imagine if it was warm this may be an issue

clean, spacious room fit for a king. On my first visit to the Miller and Carter I reported how cold the room was, but I could not help but notice the quality of the room itself. It seems they read my complaint because I have come back to this specific hotel every time I return to this neck of the woods. The rooms have been warm, supplied with all the necessary homely details one would need for an overnight stay: fresh, clean towels, kettle, hanging rail, iron, and a decent sized television if you enjoy Freeview television. Of course, the comfort of the beds is also worth a mention: the mattresses are soft; the price, I feel, is good value for money. Now that I have mentioned the comforts, my review will not suffice without a critique of the bathroom. Even upon my first visit - as mentioned above, to say it was a satisfactory experience is an exaggeration- I was met with a pristine, sparkling wash room. The walk in shower is a fancy touch, making me wish I had one of the same in my own house. If you enjoy relaxing in the bath, the Miller and Carter offers a fairly unique experience that only the best hotels offer: a free-standing bath say in the middle of the room. I honestly haven’t got a negative word to say about this place. The staff are very friendly, and the food is complimentary to the Miller and Carter Steakhouse restaurant and bar.

There is not a negative word to say about the property, only that on my first visit room no. 9 was very cold, and the radiator was not working properly. Upon my second visit, I was met with a five star experience.

Spacious, modern accommodation. Very clean. Excellent large shower and big bathroom. So good to have some elbow room! Comfortable bed. The mattress was great for me but a little firm for my wife. Breakfast was excellent. Well cooked and good presentation Overall an excellent experience and I can definitely recommend.

Finding the entrance from the car park wasn't easy and we ended up going through the restaurant. Not a big issue but better signage would help. Location is right next to a busy dual carriageway. Not an issue for us really as the room was well soundproofed but could be a problem for light sleepers! These small issues did not detract from our stay.

Staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful and attentive. Room was lovely, spacious, quiet and comfortable. Decor relaxing. Restaurant super and good selection of evening meals, drinks and breakfasts.

The shower tray was dirty. Giving the benefit of the doubt, someone have just been in doing repair work with dirty shoes. Sadly, we showered 6 times and the dirt was still there - it needs a scrub. It would have been useful to have another chair in the room. The long mirror could be better placed as when the sofa bed is down you don't get the full benefit of it. We wanted a late check-out, extending by an hour, but were told they had arranged for someone to have an early check-in. Sat in bar as son due to EHU for interview.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean

I was surprised that the breakfast wasn’t included in the price of the room as it wasn’t the cheapest. So we paid extra in the morning for our breakfast which wasn’t great…on the menu our meals were meant to come with sourdough toast but we got cheap white bread on the side. Also no tomatoes and my partners sausages were incinerated. Had this been included in the price of the room I wouldn’t have been that bothered but as we had to pay an extra £20 I wanted to share this

Very clean, spacious, friendly welcome. Large room super king bed and walk in shower, tea and coffee facilities, tasteful decor.

We spoke to a lady at reception when leaving and explained that we could not close the bedroom window. The window was slightly open when we entered the room but we could not close it at night and then realised we were near a road and experienced heavy traffic noise into the early hours. The lady at reception was unaware of it and said she would attend to it.

No other guests when we were there Various food items unavailable Toast barely toasted (should have been soda bread) mushrooms tomato and potato cubes all cold Juice and coffee station empty Shame as we were looking forward to a good breakfast

I can’t comment on the breakfast as we didn’t take it. The rooms were warm and clean and nicely decorated. Exceptional staff who went above and beyond the call of duty.

Trying the get a taxi from here; even though one had been booked it never turned up, which made us late for a dinner reservation… but this is outside of your control… after waiting over thirty minutes for the taxi to turn up a member of your staff kindly went out of her way to drop us off. Like I said; above and beyond the call of duty.

Breakfast choice limited and too heavy. Lighter options would be preferable. Portion size with chicken far too big, again only managed half so no room for dessert. Could be a cost saving measure for you and less food wastage for the environment.. Farmers don’t grow food for us to throw away.

Breakfast choice to suit smaller appetite. Paying for chicken at dinner that remained half eaten because of portion size. Food waste is an issue that impacts on the planet.

We didn’t get to eat evening meal there but restaurant and menu looked lovely. Hot freshly cooked breakfast. Free parking. Location great for where we needed to be. Plenty of sockets and USB ports by the bed and elsewhere.

No comfortable armchair or settee in the bedroom, only a small wooden desk chair. Bed was a little too firm. Limited choice for breakfast, no cereal, fruit or pastries. Potatoes unpleasant and hard. Breakfast not great value for money.
