Good solid Scottish breakfast and dinner. Activites on site and nearby. Staff helpful. Close to beautiful countryside and interesting visits

The bicycle rental only had hard mountain bikes aiming at people wanting to do mountain biking at Glentress plus a few bikes for small children. Given the demographic of the clientele, the nearby cycling opportunities and the apparent impossibility of hiring bicycles in Peebles town it seems short sighted not to cater for less sporty adult or more elderly clientele who might like to cycle along the river and on other gentler quiet tracks.

The food was excellent considering it is a large Hotel with a great deal of customers . The Hotel has a lot of activities for kids and they keep them interested very well .

We did not realise that this Hotel is a great family and dog Hotel , if you have young family and a dog or two then this is ideal for you but not for us . Kids running about screaming as they do and plenty of dogs barking . The staff were excellent and they managed to serve our Dinner and breakfast in the Conservatory which was a little piece of heaven away from the mayhem .

I got a free upgrade to a feature room which was spacious and well equipped, very comfortable and luxurious for a solo stay, fantastic views. Plenty of space for a couple too. Breakfast was included and was plentiful and varied. Staff lovely and helpful. Made use of the onsite spa facilities with PURE which were AMAZING!

It would be nice if the room had a little fridge and some of the doors were a bit slammy but not a major issue. The room I was in would be overlooked by the nearby hallway if the curtains not shut so just be aware!

I really appreciate your attention to reducing the carbon footprint of a hotel -- I liked having glass glasses in the room, real cups, very little plastic or one-time use plastic. The breakfast was outstanding and the wait staff, especially Alex in the dining room, were attentive and helpful. Wonderful location, wonderful view, excellent trip !

I honestly wouldn't have changed a thing, except maybe making my trip longer so I could have enjoyed your hospitality more.

Breakfast excellent..lots of choice prepared well. Lovely setting in the huge stately room. Dinner was ok the soup was fantastic. Room very nice and comfy beds good size bathroom. Plenty of parking space. Short walk to town.

Nothing really. The windows were a little drafty ..great views though. Maybe the bar could serve meals later than 5pm as an alternative to the expensive grill room restaurant.. Lots of steps up to reception might not suit everyone. There is a lift though if you ok with that.

The room was delightful but the bed was uncomfortable. other family members' room said their beds were fine. The hotel may be a bit tired around the edges income areas, but the furnishings and hospitality are wonderful. The setting is so picturesque, in stunning, breathtaking scenery. Peebles is a lovely little town only a 15 minute stroll away. Three 80 plus old ladies made it to the town with no problem. they got a taxi back for under £5.

The Peebles Hydro is a grand Edwardian hotel with well-maintained terraced grounds and a superb view towards Glen Sax and Dun Rig. I enjoyed a feeling of endulging in the luxury of a bygone era. The staff made a great effort to be welcoming and attentive. Dinner in the huge dining room was surprisingly good.

They could make more of the history of the hotel. I asked about that and the receptionist kindly photocopied a pamphlet, but I'm sure others would be interested too.

Everything. We have been here before and the staff always look after us and ensure we have a lovely time My fiancée was feeling unwell and they helped with lemon and hot water and even an air heater. They always go an extra step further to ensure they look after you. Beautiful surroundings. Clean facilities. Lovely suggestions from all staff and lovely to know their stories. We have booked this venue again for our stay during wedding in September.

Short time we had to stay here due to other commitments. Wish we could have spent more time.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy and the facilities, food and activities were fab! The swimming pool was very clean with a great choice of games floats and pool noodles. The food in the bistro was very nice and freshly cooked. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were all helpful and friendly.

There was no evening entertainment at the venue due to a ball which was being hosted. It would be nice for music to be played for families to dance together to enjoy as there is not much to do in the evenings after having dinner and all facilities such as the pool were closed at 8pm. The poolshowers were cold and there was no hot water or jacuzzi facilities at the time of our stay.

From the minute we checked in, the staff were so lovely and helpful. The room exceeded our expectations. It had an amazing view, was spacious and all aspects were comfy. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was amazing. We loved that the hotel had the fires lit and decorated for christmas. It was so cozy and warm. We ate every meal in the hotel and as 2 vegans, we can not complain with the variety of options available to us.

I didn't like that we only booked a 2 night stay! Could have stayed longer.
