We only stayed 1 night traveling up from Oxfordshire to watch UCI World Champs Mountain Bike Marathon finish Glentress and start at the end in the village Carpark pick up for cycling was just down the road from this hotel The welcome was warm ,friendly some locals regulars assisted in finding the Carpark , Owner was helpful and kind ,room immaculately clean ,homely and basic You had what you needed with no fuss or bother ,en-suite shower toilet very good and clean . Had a drink in bar in the evening The fella behind the bar was a riot ,had us and the locals laughing all night ..fair warning you will be in no doubt your in Scotland and near Glasgow so if easily offended and snowflake avoid . If you want a simple ,homely Scottish experience then “ nay bother “

Due to length of travel and arrival time we contacted all multi stays we booked to confirm that booking was still ok and arrival time if caught in traffic A storm was predicted and we did nt want any issues if traffic delayed It took a couple emails to confirm and response which could be looked at , but when we got there we kind of understood that they probably not addicted to phones and emails as most are Absolutely no take aways allowed in rooms ( again when we got there understood) ,but perhaps a warning about complete lack of food choice ,takeaways ,shops for eating in village so people can eat before arrival on first night .Fortunately we ate at Motorway services just incase .

The breakfast was good-I didn’t expect at that price there would be one but a good range of self service items with warm toast milk and tea great. Room was perfect and much better than the photos - and shower room perfect. Beds really best quality and so comfy.

It was a wee bit noisy ( we were above the bar) but we went down the second night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with great bar staff. So in the end the noise for us was ok. However the WiFi wasn’t very good but we weren’t staying for more than 2 nights at a time and it’s just that with my phone deal my phone would’ve be charging me when I went and over the limit ( very cheap plan) My husband and daughter were fine as they had unlimited and I just used their hotspot. The lack of plug spots for the kettle was a wee bit annoying - but great range and amount of tea and coffee and biscuits.

The staff was very friendly. This is a local hotel, rather classically run alongside/above a pub named after the local saint. You check in at the pub, one of the friendly ladies make toast and tea for you to go with the fruit, yogurt, cereals, and pastries in the breakfast room. They were attentive and took care of our needs when we asked (like toilet paper/bin emptying). The location is perfect: right in the middle of the High Street and near the local (and very nice) self-serve laundry. There are several good restaurants and cafes in short walking distance. There are also good walks and scenery, including Traqauir House. The bus comes about every half hour to take you to Melrose Abbey, Abbotsford, Peebles, Galashiels. Plenty of room in the dresser and closet. Our room, #1 looked over the street and allowed us to watch the St Ronan’s Games Fancy Dress parade.

It’s an old building so it can be musty, particularly the bathroom. The window does open in the bedroom area but needs to be propped. We played musical plugs to charge our devices, use table lamps and tv, or use the kettle. The Wi-Fi only worked downstairs. The only challenging thing about being on the High Street is the noise of passing trucks, buses, and the walk signal. There isn’t much variety for breakfast.

Continental breakfast included in the price, beds were comfortable and the room had everything you need for a one night stay. Room was clean though decor a bit tired but from other reviews we knew this. The staff were very accommodating sorting my son out with an earlier breakfast as he had to leave before they would normally have the breakfast room open and they stored our bikes safely for us.

Quite a bit of noise from the street outside (pub kicking out time) but did expect this because of it's location

Spacious bedroom. Beautiful new bathroom with exceptional shower. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Ancient building so quirky hallways and uneven floors added to the atmosphere. Pub on ground floor but we could hear no noise in our room. Busy road but deserted at night. Plenty of parking. The sheets were big enough for the bed - most hotels skimp on that - and plenty of towels.

No Wi-Fi. Maybe a lick of paint here and there required but in such an old building, we didn't mind that.

Really nice place, reception is the pub which is well decorated. Room is basic, clean, good size with great shower . Shower had plenty of hot water and different shower heads to choose from including waterfall head. Heating worked well in room. Super friendly staff. Great place to stay on main street of innerleithan. Continental breakfast included was nice, had toast, fruit cereals and even soy milk when requested.

No wifi in the room, had to go to stairs to download movies/videos to watch.

Stayed for two nights with my two young boys, and had a pleasant stay. The bedroom was comfortable and clean. I like the simple things in life, and this was great had a comfortable space, clean towels and bedding, and the TV for settling down in the evening. Continental breakfast was great for starting the morning, any requests catered for. Also helped me to fill a flask with warm hot chocolate for taking out our walk. Felt welcomed, and would definitely be back. Such lovely people in innerleithen.

Extremely welcoming and helpful staff. They took good care of our bikes. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. They provided an extra portable radiator which was great for drying wet biking gear. Location was also great.

The breakfast was basic but it did the job. The place is a little dated but we did expect that when we booked. The curtains were very thin, it was daylight in the room by 5am.

Very clean and friendly staff. Great location in the middle of Innerleithen. We stayed in the "small double room" - the room was a lot bigger than I expected and far from small, the bathroom was very clean and modern with a good, powerful shower. The bike storage was safe and secure, under lock and key along with the beer kegs! Plenty of parking spaces available. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely local pub and hotel ran by Kath who was warm, friendly and very welcoming. Breakfast was plentiful with the option to buy a hot breakfast. Packed lunches available if you preorder. We had 2 lovely rooms which had very comfy beds and newly refurbished bathrooms. If you love animals then this is the place for you with Ronan and Stuart the collie dogs and Tito the cat who roam freely downstairs in the bar. This was the icing on the cake during our stay.
