It was the most beautiful self-catering cottage we’ve had in Scotland so far. Small, but lovely, tasteful interior, comfy beds, huge fluffy towels, nice views, quiet, a parking space just in front of the wee terrace. Everything was hassle free, and even our dog enjoyed our stay a lot. We sure will come back and recommend it to our friends.

I would have loved to have a few additional items in the kitchen, first and foremost a soup ladle, a smaller and finer sieve, a whisk (or a blender) and a larger pot or wok. I had to improvise a bit when cooking, but that's complaining on a ridiculous level.

Comfortable and fully equipped lodge behind the main building. Dog friendly and cheerful staff. Interesting and well presented menu.

Dodgy steps to the lodge.

Location , friendly staff, well stocked kitchen, bed was comfortable, Nice view of the Loch

Previous occupant left behind a nice pair of Merrell hiking shoes by mistake. We reported this but staff did nothing about it, left them outside to get soaked by the rain, really slack by staff members as they should have stored the shoes safely and hopefully contacted the owner of the shoes. Door handle inside falling off, toilet seat loose, bathroom sink plug not working, these items were reported when we left to a staff member A little wake up call to staff members needed as these items should have been noted when cleaning/ preparing the room for new guests

Stunning location overlooking Loch Earn. We had been for dinner a couple of years ago as we rented a holiday cottage in St Fillans - the food was so good we ended up going back the next 2 nights. Decided to stay for a night at the hotel this time and again weren’t disappointed - food was excellent. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about food and wine and nice cozy bar area for a drink before and/or after dinner.

Nothing

Stayed here for 2 nights in august 2022. Excellent restaurant with wonderful and comfortable rooms in a wonderful location on Loch Earn. We had a lovely stay. Recommend having diner in the restaurant when staying there, it is really worth while. Atmosphere is really relaxed, service was wonderful. Location is also nice to explore the area and enjoy Scottish nature. The hotel accepts dogs (we didn't bring a dog, but it did add to the homely feeling). Breakfast was excellent too, as it is a restaurant they offer a variety of breakfast options (including full scottish of course) with an added buffet of fresh toast, jams, yogurt, juices etc. Parking on site, great views from the restaurant and some rooms. We had a downstairs room at the back, with a generous bathroom including a bathtub (with showerhead). |The bed was very comfortable. Would definitely return to and recommend this place.

Nothing at all.

Location was beautiful and peaceful

we stayed in a lodge at the rear of the hotel, for a 1 night stop over it was fine, cheap price comfortable stay. However it felt as though you’re forgotten out back. The small drive through at back of hotel is full of pot holes, little things need improvement, we were left a used dirty washing sponge in kitchen sink, no tea towel, tv stand was falling apart with missing draw front, loose door handles etc. There was also no information or code on how to gain entry to hotel to use hotel bar etc, Lodge’s also don’t have sky tv etc which is fine but maybe a smart tv would be a little nicer.

Rooms were lovely food was good , staff nice , friendly and helpful. Only criticism would be in a normal hotel if you're early for check in you can still sit in and have a coffee etc , but doors are shut until check in and there's not much around to pass the time . Wouldn't stop me going back but Wouldn't arrive early

Closed doors, on early arrival

I had an evening meal and breakfast. The standard of food was very high. This was one of the few hotels where freshly squeezed orange juice was provided. I stayed in five different hotels on this trip. The bedroom was very spacious, with a very large and modern bathroom. The Arran shower gels were very aromatic. Given the number of dogs that I saw, the owners keep the hotel spotless. The setting on the shore of Loch Earn, with the mountains behind was unbelievable.

I had a small gripe at the cost of £140 for room only, but I have to concede it was the best room I stayed in and had Sky TV. Quality costs!

This was our second stay at Achray House due to being so impressed the first time. Again we had a lovely comfortable room, fantastic food and the warmest welcome from staff. Claire is an absolute superstar and the whole team are clearly happy in their work. The perfect way to start our holiday in the Highlands, we’ll definitely be returning again next year.
