What a great place! Warmly greeted by the property owner when we first arrived. Shook our hands, introduced himself, and seemed to take a sincere interest in our UK trip and our comfort at his "home". It seemed that all staff shared in same mindset. Had nice chats with the groundskeeper, breakfast server, etc. Service exceptional. Grounds had beautiful gardens and area was quiet and restful and yet good access to the area. We used this location to go to Jane Austen's home and surroundings (about 25 minute drive) plus Hinton Ampner (a National Trust property, nearby). A nearby village (East Meon) had two very good pubs where we ate during our two night stay. The House had a comfortable living room area, where there was a fire lit (seemingly) just for us. Breakfast was better than average. Say yes to the croissant.

The shower was plenty hot and powerful, but shower surround made it difficult to avoid getting water on the bathroom floor. The room itself was on the top floor and I had to be careful not to bump my head on the slanted ceiling. Will get a room with uniform clearance next time.

Langrish House is a historic building in a lovely small parkland with specimen trees. It is quiet and secluded;at night you can see the stars and hear the owls. It is furnished in an appropriate way, not super-modern but clean and comfortable with interesting pictures on the walls. Beds comfortable, toilet and shower worked well. Our host Robina was attentive and helpful. We, almost accidentally, woke her at night for some milk and she was most forgiving. Breakfast was good, scrambled eggs (always a test) were superb and Val was absolutely terrific. What a lovely, friendly and helpful person. We were in the area for a meeting of the British Lichen Society and for us the icing on the cake was the discovery of a rare lichen, 'Golden Eyes', on a tree in the garden.

We don't have any negative comments.

We felt so at home from the moment we arrived Nigel & Robina were wonderful , we felt so at home . It was great to be off the beaten track , yet close to stately homes , quaint villages , all things Jane Austin and an hour from Portsmouth. The house is so beautiful , we enjoyed learning about the history . Personalized service at breakfast , excellent food . Robins recommended the nearby Ye old George Inn for dinner . We loved it and food was excellent. Bed was soft for us but we just prefer a firmer bed . Lovely grounds to explore . Easy parking right in front .

That we had only one night to enjoy it …

Langrish House is a large, beautiful country house B&B set in acres of peaceful gardens, teaming with wildlife. It’s handy for the town of Petersfield (don’t miss the Physic Garden), the coast and several National Trust properties. Our (superior) room was well furnished with a very comfortable and spacious bed. The staff are without exception very friendly and professional. The excellent quality and plentiful cooked breakfast arrived hot and beautifully cooked on both mornings after we had made our choices the day before. We stayed for our 40th wedding anniversary celebration, having stayed on our wedding night and have no intention of leaving it so long before we stay again!

Can’t think of a single thing.

A beautiful house in quiet picturesque surroundings. Nigel greeted me on arrival and took my breakfast order while giving welcome advice about nearby restaurants for my evening meal. My room at the top of the house was warm, cosy, clean and spacious. Lovely aspect over looking the lawn and garden from my window. Snacks tea facilities and water present. Evidence of recycling in action. Loads of warm water for great shower. Information book about area, history and facilities was great reading. Breakfast excellent. Coffee perfect sitting in bay window with sun streaming in and a local pheasant outside the window. Lovely break.

Nothing that the owners could have helped with...weather was bad. Not a problem for me but there are small sets of steps up to rooms so if mobility an issue I would request room on ground level. Would return for sure. Thank you.

Loved the building and grounds and of course the staff were very accommodating. It was a pleasure to meet Nigel and Robina our gracious hosts. There is a pleasant walk through trees etc to the George pub which serves lovely food, ask for a map which is easy to follow.

Nothing really as we understood the nearest pub was a 30 min walk away when we booked.

We liked the warm welcome from Robina and Nigel. The calm surroundings and the view from our room. Our breakfast was a real tasty treat with a different and always delightful waitress each morning, Val, Issie and Laura. We are looking forward to coming back so that we can look around the grounds. We would choose the same room again with the exceptional views. Not forgetting Stuart who would appear from nowhere to lend a hand, with an enormous smile on his face. Thank you Robina and Nigel and to all the staff for providing what we needed....a complete break. Claire & Stephen.

There was nothing that we didn't like. It's just what we needed, following a sudden loss in our family. We needed to be within the walls of a different environment, and the Langrish Hotel provided that ....without a doubt.

Beautiful location, well maintained gardens to explore and stunning house. We had a very comfortable nights sleep and the breakfast was delicious. We were greeted with the warmest or welcomes from the hosts and the morning staff were so friendly. Lovely to meet the owners grandson at breakfast too.

That we weren’t staying longer

From the moment we stepped across the threshold of Langrish House we were treated in a warm and friendly manner by our hostess Robina. Our room, which once served as part of the drawing room, afforded magnificent views across the spacious garden and beyond. The breakfast was as superb as the overall ambience of that historic house and we would have no hesitation in highly recommending it to travellers seeking extra special accommodation in the stunning Hampshire countryside.

It could not have been better.

The staff at Langrish House greeted us very warmly on our arrival, making us feel most welcome. I had inadvertently made an error when making the booking which the staff kindly sorted out quickly and easily. The hotel is beautiful and set in the middle of picturesque countryside. Our room was lovely and comfortable and we very much enjoyed our breakfast cooked by Val. We highly recommend Langish House
