Room was lovely, very spacious with plenty of storage for a weekend break. Very comfortable bed and great lighting where the hair dryer was positioned. The cooked breakfast was nice and freshly cooked.

The toilet was not very clean at all , the toilet pan was dirty with excrement and there was some on the pedestal . I had to use wet wipes to clean it myself. I had traveled straight from work and did not have time for someone to come and clean it for me. Breakfast pastries had run out before 9am which is not very good when breakfast is served 10 am

Beautiful grounds. Spacious well presented rooms. Spotless bathrooms. Plenty of space to relax in various rooms downstairs. Good choice of meals. Efficient reception. Friendly staff ensured bedrooms were spotless. Well situated. Beautiful historical hotel.

During our final evening the volume of the television in the adjoining bedroom kept us awake for the majority of the night! The television was still on at 6.15 am.

Everything but particularly breakfast. Very unusual these days to have an a la carte cooked breakfast menu rather than a buffet.

More attention to detail required over billing. Our party was initially charged for another party's dinner bill and my own bill at the end of the stay had an extra charge for a bar bill that was not my own. I later discovered it belonged to someone else in our party but not me. Only a small amount involved but irritating nevertheless.

The venue is always extremely clean and the Team are really friendly. They never fail to make us feel welcome. Pam was absolutely fantastic, the Reception Team are definitely on the ball, and Karen in the breakfast room is pleasant and friendly. The Housekeeping team appear to enjoy their work, and will always greet you whenever they're around. The Chefs are excellent, and the food is consistently high class. That's why we prefer to stay here, as they are a great Team.

Food all round was very good and enjoyable

We had a evening meal in the restaurant which was deserted! Members of staff were not in attendance at all times and times my wife and I were the only ones there!! The restaurant supervisor made occasional visits but did not bother to come to our table only when requested . The reception are was unmanned several times and I had to call for assistance. I think overall the staff here need training in social skills particularly the restaurant!!

The bathroom was amazing except the fan was broken but it stopped screeching after 10 mins. The breakfast of egg and bacon, was ok a bit dry and only one egg not so generous there and the fruit bar etc was a bit tired, uninspired bread selection The staff were ok not exceptionaly freindly, though functional The room was spotless clean, the sheets towels bath etc. The parking was good the space was a little tight 24hr reception was perfect as arrived at midnight.

Everything available for breakfast. I require gluten free menu - there was gluten free cereal and toast. Added bonus! The room was well proportioned, clean and fresh. (Light bulbs had a layer of dust on but otherwise clean.)Beds very comfortable. Nice touch to have a fan in the room, since the window wouldn't stay open.

Not very keen on the Orangery. Everything echoes and you can hear what everyone else is saying, despite the background music. There is no atmosphere in there - feels too impersonal. Much preferred the 'old style' restaurant. Preferred to sit in the little area outside the Orangery for breakfast.

The waitress in the restaurant. She seemed a little bit scatty, but she was very peasant, tried hard to please and was very apologetic for minor errors. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable.

The room was positioned in a separate annex. It was cold with both doors held open and not pleasant to have to cross to get to the restaurant and main hotel. The bar and restaurant areas lacked personality.

Almost everything a very nice Hotel in a good location and some history another visit in summer is on the cards as we felt the winter does not do the hotel grounds justice .

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the food was very nice and service was excellent however for me im a big lad who works hard in the gym the portions were too small .Better to have too much and leave some than still feeling as though you could manage some more .

Really everything, we did not have evening meal but we visit this area at least once a month so we will be have that opportunity on our visit even as early as next week. Special mention for Jessica on reception, very welcoming and helpful, she was smiling the whole time she checked us in and when we returned to ask probably some silly questions. Well done Jessica !! We hope you are on duty when we return.

No fault of the hotel, some people returning from a night out woke us up Slamming doors !! And one man at 4.50am trying to find Tracy’s room !!!!!
