Wow. What a delightful surprise! This cottage is still being developed further by the owners, however with what they have already completed there is a good indication that this is going to be fantastic. The hospitality of both Shaan and Sef is second to none. We were made to feel like the only guests despite other rooms being full. The rooms are well appointed with all the essentials, and anything we needed was on hand if we asked.

There is bothing to dislike about the property, however two very minor things come to mind: 1 really tall people may find the upstairs rooms a bit chalkenging due to a lower than normal ceiling height, 2 the cottage is tucked away in a nest of three propertiesand was not easy to find late in the evening. But we did learn about "what3words" app which would've helped us find the property easier. Go visit, you'll love it if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of a busy town.

the cottage is situated in a small village with good road access to all the major routes. The cottage has been beautifully restored, and the place just gleems with the pride that Shaan & Saf have poured into the renovations. Shaan & Saf, were perfect hosts welcoming, and very warm personalities, they explained how to order breakfast and what to expect in the room. there is a wonderful montage of photo's on the stairwell and the reception area of the cottage is open and spacious. i could not fault the attention to detail that they gave us, we were there for 2 nights and they made us feel that we had been there alot longer. perfect. Oh and it's in Robin Hood Country what more could you ask for.

if i had a niggle, and this it utterly ridiculous, the kettle in the room dribbles down the length of the kettle if making a cuppa tea, make sure the spout ins right over the cup. i feel embarrassed even writing this because really it is not a problem.

We loved every minute of our stay here. The cottage was so full of character, homely and beautifully restored by Shaan & Sef. Such a peaceful location, yet so convenient to access main routes both north and south. Our room was so comfortable with a beautiful view of the garden and wonderful sunsets. Every need was catered for within our room, even a cosy bed and treats for our little dog Timber. Simply wonderful. Shaan and Sef are exceptional hosts, so welcoming and friendly who did everything to make our stay with them so wonderful. Breakfast is a feast not to be missed!!

I would highly recommend Tumbleweed Cottage. The facilities where lovely, the bed was extremely comfortable, shower wonderful and the extra goodies with the tea, great touch. The owners were very kind and friendly happy to help with anything you needed. Also breakfast was very delicious, with lots of options. Definitely stay again.

Coming from the city, we where unused to the situation with the lack of taxis due to being in the countryside and being there on a Sunday. The owners where extremely helpful in trying to find us taxis, but we did find it hard and got stung with a high fare. We would highly recommend booking taxis with lots of notice.

Totally Everything. Shaan and Sef were great hosts,attentive,chatty,GSOH,and have done a marvellous job on renovating the property with tasteful decor,old meets modern,like the motion sensor lighting for the stairs,very smart !! The hosts shared a little bit of their story in bringing the property to life once more and there's more in the pipeline!! Great breakfast options including veggie/vegan catered for,delicious full English 😋 Comfy bed,ample en suite room for us and super quiet as you'd expect in a village. Great pub recommendation from the hosts for our evening meal,the Duke Wellington, just a 6 minute drive away from Tumbleweed cottage. We will 100% stay here again next time we are wandering the country on our road trips. Can't wait until the next time. 10 out 10 for this hidden gem. Thanks again Shaan and Sef, bravo 👏

Beautiful cottage full of character in a great location . We had a lovely room with an amazing view of the garden. Great breakfast choices including Shaan’s homemade granola, yogurt & fruit berry compote 😋. We were well looked after by our hosts Shaan and Seff, nothing was too much trouble, they recommended some places we could go to in the evening for a meal as well as places we might like to visit. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and would have no hesitation in booking a return visit. 😊

We were welcomed to this cottage by two very friendly hosts Shaan and Sef who showed us around their beautiful home. We stayed for 4 nights and had a very enjoyable time. Shaan and Sef were so helpful and were always making sure that we were happy with everything’ The place was exceptionally clean and was so cozy by the fire that we chose to dine in with a takeaway rather than go out one evening. Every morning we were served with a hot breakfast of our choice which was always perfect, There isn’t anything that we could fault with this outstanding B&B cottage and we have already recommended it to others and we look forward to going back there soon as it felt like home from home. Thanks again Sef and Shaan for making our stay Special, David & Lou.

A delightful, quaint Cottage set in a lovely peaceful location. We had a fabulous sized room with a massive comfortable bed and plenty of wardrobe space along with a large ensuite shower. The smart gadgets installed are a nice touch and very helpful too! The little treats were a kind thought, thank you. Shaan and Sef were warm and friendly; they are excellent hosts and made us feel extremely welcome. They provided us with very helpful information regarding where to eat and were always on hand if we needed anything at all. Everything was well organised for us and the breakfast was absolutely delicious; all freshly cooked with good quality produce. We highly recommend "Tumbleweed Cottage"; you won't be disappointed if you stay here! Great value too. Thank you both for your hospitality; we loved our stay. We'll be back! Sharon and Phil xx

This was my second visit, I stayed there on August 3 on my journey to North Yorkshire too. The hosts Shaan and Seff could not be more friendly and helpful, including recommending a nearby pub for an evening meal. The cottage is beautifully restored and the rooms very comfortable. The location is very quiet though very close to the A1. There is lots of choice for breakfast, I particularly liked Shaan's homemade granola, yogurt and berry pots! It felt like staying with old friends embarking on a new venture!

Sef and Shaan made my partner and I feel very welcome at Tumbleweed Cottage. A lovely warm welcome at the door, followed by a tour of the property and room. Free WiFi. A basket full of snacks, and individual fruit juices. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Lovely bathroom. Very clean everywhere. Some fun features at the property, including stairs that light up as you walk up them, and automatic curtains that open and close themselves. Had a full English breakfast in the morning. Cooked to perfection. Cereal, toast, fruit juice, tea and coffee also available. All diets catered for. Highly recommended staying At Tumbleweed Cottage. Looking forward to staying there again soon.
