The decor throughout was stunning. I loved the cave snug in the bar and the beautiful surroundings of the park. Having a bottle of water in the room was a really nice touch, and the options for tea/ coffee were exceptional. The food is also excellent and the staff were very attentive and helpful.

My double room was quite small. Perfect for just me, but a couple may have been a squeeze. Some vegan options on the breakfast menu would be nice. I do flex, so ate the veggie option. I appreciate I could have asked but was surprised no options were there, as the main lunch/dinner menu had. Maybe some veggie sausage options on there would be nice.

The staff were lovely and welcoming. All of them wanting to do their best to make their guests comfortable. The decor in everywhere, bedroom, bathroom and restaurant/bar (inside) was of a high standard and very comfortable. It was extremely clean everywhere...well almost everywhere. Food was very good and there were good gluten free and vegan choices.

We ate dinner in the covered area outside and I didn't like the plastic walls/windows which were moving about in the wind and it was a bit drafty. Just not the same standard as the rest of the hotel.

Superb hotel. real clean, room felt like brand new in a stunning room with period features, like the slopey floor, loved it. Hotel was beautifully decorated, and in a perfect location in Tunbridge Wells. Roll top bath in the room, and separate shower and toilet room, amazing view out to the greenery. Really efficient staff, and happy too! The food here is absolutely gorgeous, not cheap but cooked to a consistently high standard. I was staying for 2 nights, and the food was so delicious, I had exactly the same (salt & pepper squid followed by duck breast in a cherry sauce, with new potatoes and chicory). It was identically perfect if you know what I mean.

Slightly better seal on the shower screen to stop water spilling on the floor. There really wasn't anything not to like or that could be improved here. Stunning and exceptional all round

Wonderful stay in a beautiful room with a delicious breakfast! The staff were the most friendly and accommodating, they went well out of their way to make it the perfect stay! I loved the clawfoot tub and especially the bath salts were such a nice touch! I needed to print something and the staff were more than happy to accommodate! Everyone we encountered were so warm and friendly! Lovely location in Tunbridge Wells, easy to walk everywhere, beautiful woodlands surrounding. Would love to stay again and next time will book in for dinner as the food smelled wonderful at night and everyone in the restaurant/bar seemed to be having a great time.

Everything. My 3rd visit and it is always excellent. The bedroom is spotlessly clean and welcoming. The shower room is also spotless and well laid out with all you could want. In fact the shower is the best I have had when compared to other hotels in Tunbridge Wells. There is a coffee machine which is so much better than having instant coffee. A nice touch is some homemade shortbread biscuits that are delicious! The bed is extremely comfortable and I had 4 very comfortable nights there. All in all the whole experience at the Mount Edgcumbe is outstanding!

Nothing as everything was perfect

We arrived on a beautiful sunny day to find the perfect parking space and then discover that our room had been upgraded for free! We stayed in a wonderful king-sized bedroom that had air conditioning, a fortunate choice since the temperature was approaching 90 degrees. The dinners and breakfasts were all excellent, with creamy scrambled eggs, veggie risotto and the Buddha bowls were highlights.

It's a bit of a walk to town (on a very hot day), but you do pass by a nice park.

Breakfast was fab… I asked to have a slight adaptation - half eggs Benedict half eggs royale. It more than met my expectations. Tea bag’s perhaps weren’t as good as those in the room tho. The staff came across as genuinely happy in their work passionate and personable. The girl who booked our taxi, and chef ked my room for a mislaid item ( at my request) when I was out is an absolute treasure! Love the quirky decor! Adorable.

Bedroom could’ve been v slightly bigger? But taking into account the overall decor and the service we forgive that.

Very friendly staff throughout hotel and restaurant eating areas. Helpful and chatty. Room size really great. Greenery around hotel. Windows that open and aircon..choice! Wonderful food. Everything was superb.

I truthfully cannot fault a single thing. (Being super picky I would have to say that instant coffee in room would have been nice just to have as well as having to put on the coffee maker...just for speed...but thats a minor detail as tea, coffee, fresh shortbread were all lovely options in the room.)

Smallish (twin) room but well equipped, pretty decor. Breakfast was superb. The restaurant & bar are clearly popular - once they were less busy, we could put our car in the free car park outside (away from the main road). On the edge of the town centre, quiet location in a green setting (The Commons).

Not a personal dislike as we are fully mobile but the location off the road and up the hill from the centre could be challenging for someone with limited mobility to get in and out of the town.

We had an amazing stay. Our room was charming and comfortable, and the property was lovely. The secluded setting was perfect. We had both breakfast and dinner there and the food was wonderful. The staff was extremely helpful when we dropped off our luggage in advance. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This wasn't a negative for me, but the property was up on a hill away from town. Just be aware you'll need to hike a bit to get to the activity if you don't have a car.
