Everything! The location was great, the host - Rick - was such a great guy and always at hand to help. Stoford holds a lot of ancient history, and the Grayling House is right opposite the Stoford bridge - which holds a lot of British history. Also, an excellent pub - the Swan Inn - is just a minute's walk from Grayling House, and a stream runs right in front of Grayling House, across the road. Grayling House is clean, well kept, quiet - especially when you really need to get away and rest, and be close to nature. There's a lot to see around Stoford and Grayling House. The Bus - 2 and 24 - go to the City Centre and the rail/bus station, for just £2 each way.

My stay was too short! 🙂

It was a lovely ensuite room with comfy bed and facilities for tea. There was also access to a guest lounge. Very friendly host who made sure we had what we needed to settle in. We needed to check in late due to our train time and the owners were obliging and readily agreed to meet us when we arrived. We had an enjoyable stay.

The only thing I can think of to note was the continental breakfast was a bit basic, and used uht milk which my daughter didn't like.

Excellent welcome, my room was very comfortable with kettle and tea and coffee etc. I had taken my bike and it was well looked after and safe. Richard was very knowledge about the area and was great at giving tips for cycle routes and dining opportunities .

The breakfast was somewhat lacking however the price to stay was so good that the breakfast could easily have been added to at a shop. Toast, cereal and croissant was the order of the day however tea and coffee were endless

'Mine Host' was very welcoming and extremely helpful - though always professional. The B&B is on a main road but not only gave me clear directions to my destination but carefully advised how to drive out without being in danger. I stayed two nights. The day I left for home gave me directions to avoid the traffic jams in the city, which sent me not only on my way quickly but along a delightful route. He advised another couple, staying overnight, of the best places to park and eat in the city. Local knowledge, smilingly shared - so invaluable!!

What could have been better? I could have stayed longer!

The guesthouse is a small property that has a cottage feel, with some really nice views and areas to go for a walk. There is limited parking just off the main road which can be a little tricky to see for both access and exit. It is located just a short drive from Salisbury city centre, and there are two country pubs just a short walk away also. Both pubs offer a food menu until 8pm, and a warm atmosphere to sit and relax. A basic breakfast is included at the guesthouse including cereal, toast, fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea and toast. The owners were really friendly and happy to cater for your needs. The room was comfortable and provided everything I required for my stay.

Being an old property, sound does travel throughout, such as creaking floorboards, flushing toilets etc. However, I was not disturbed by any sounds from the main road outside at all. Additionally, I found the shower to be a little cramped for my liking, but for a short stay this is not really a problem.

Hosts were amazing, really friendly and helpful. The room was pleasant and comfortable and the location was good. Breakfast was delicious and very filling, local pubs were good for evening meals and value for money.

Room had bare essentials but still comfy and clean. Location was on a road and got quite noisy. No real outdoor space but did have some lovely walks in the area. Breakfast cost an additional £12 each per morning.

Situated in a small but accessible village. Two nearby pubs for dinner/drinks. Lovely short local walks from the B&B. The B&B is very comfortable, with well-furnished rooms, a guest lounge, and a breakfast room. The owners are exceptionally friendly and obliging. Continental breakfast is good. This is an excellent place to spend a few days to explore the local area.

Rick was very friendly and a great host! He gave us a lot of useful information and tips about sights and restaurants. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast service was great! Stoford is an ideal location for visiting Stonehenge and Bath. We were able to park our care right in front of the b&b. We hardly heard any noise from the busy road outside.

The toilet in one of the rooms made some weird noises, even in the middle of the night. But earplugs helped with that.

From the moment we knocked on the door we were made to feel so welcome with our corgi Jasper, Rick was a lovely host and on the final morning we overslept and still got a lovely breakfast despite being after the serving times. The room was lovely and facilities were spotlessly clean. The property is in very easy reach of Stone Henge, Old Sarum and Salisbury with a few extra sights squeezed in thanks to Rick’s recommendations.

Nothing at all - we would highly recommend, especially if travelling with your four-legged family too!

I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at Grayling House. All the facilities were good, comfy bed, and everything very clean. Rick was incredibly helpful and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. He also had some great local knowledge and tips which really made my stay. Brilliant location right by the river. Highly recommended.
