Very spacious 3 bedroomed cottage -large beds plus huge re-fitted bathrooms. Well equipped( except salt & pepper were empty!)

Parts of the estate looked tired & in need of renovation. It’s a long way from the cottages to the bar & restaurants in the main hotel. So if it’s raining ( which it was!) it means someone has to drive -then can’t have a drink. As there are many golf carts on the premises it would have been a very good idea to offer their services as a pick up! Parking for the hotel ( to use spa or bars etc) was very challenging due to all the golfers & women at yoga etc etc. We had to park a long walk away just to get a drink in the bar at lunchtime. There should be a parking area reserved for hotel guests.

We only stayed one night and did not have breakfast; but the room and bed were great; the balcony and view very good; and the swimming pool and spa facilities excellent. The staff were very polite, helpful and cheerful. Wifi was automatic - did not require getting codes form reception or logging on with personal emails etc.

I don't like to criticise places. Could perhaps do with a bit of a general spruce up; repairs required to a couple of places in swimming pool ceiling;

The view from our balcony room was stunning. The selection of food on the menu was brilliant, and room service came quickly. The facilities were excellent and we liked that we could use the pool whenever we liked.

The air conditioning didn't keep the room that fresh so we had to keep our balcony door open as it got warm in our room. Rooms could be updated. We booked a meal in the restaurant (an boeti), the food was lovely but we waited over an hour for our main course. The pillows and bed weren't that comfy.

We went there for a golf holiday and because of a wedding all the rooms were already filled so they give us an assisted room for people with disabilities. We went to reception to change the room and the young man who was there was a little bit lack of polite and without experience in dealling these king of situations by refusing us in a very unpleasant way. Anyway, next day after the wedding finished, the manager, a very young and nice lady was so nice and helpful by giving us a new room with an awesome view to the golf course. Thanks Jess!

Venue was really good. Staff were great and the food was good including breakfast. Very relaxing environment.

The room cleaning was dubious. We stayed for 2 nights. My towels were not changed despite being left in the bath. My colleagues bed had not been made and despite his towels being replaced the bathroom had not been cleaned. We also overheard a couple of other guests making comment at checkout too. The chair in the room at the desk was too low to enable a comfortable working position.

I would like the staff to come to the table and take the order for the food and no disrespect these game for the kids have half the things missing management should be looking at this I booked two rooms which I didn’t think I did but apparently I did through booking.com I wanted to have a room with my wife and son but I ended up paying for two rooms on my itinerary it said balcony but I had to pay £50 extra for a balcony only one bath towel in room 229 and on one pair of slippers and bath robe in room 208

Large room, excellent surroundings and locality Staff were excellent and helpful and responded quickly to any requests Free parking Leisure facilities were fantastic - access to three pools jacuzzi and saunas and clean Breakfast was good with a reasonable choice

Small television in room with limited channels Bedroom didn’t reflect the updated decor of the rest of the hotel. No fridge in room, shower caps, flannels provided in bathroom As the hotel is set in a golf course it is mainly set up for this clientele Required more staff during busy times at breakfast in order for tables to be cleaned and laid out as had to ask for this to be done!

Really nice room facing the golf course, definitely worth paying the extra for the signature rooms. Decent food served in the bar. food and drink prices not too bad. Good breakfast (but see below) Really good golf course (the Kernow)

Breakfast servery was way too small and woefully inadequate for the number of guests, as soon as food was brought out it was gone meaning it was virtually impossible to get a "full" breakfast. they ran out of mugs and we had to wait about 15 mins for more to be brought out, same thing happened with the bread, generally the staff just weren't keeping up with demand and not replenishing quickly enough.

The hotel is located off a roundabout on the A388 and was very well located for the business I was doing. Staff were polite and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable, with free in room Wi-Fi. The food was good in the evening. Breakfast from 07.00am, was buffet style. Checking out was easy. I would highly recommend The St Mellion Estate and would definitely stay here again.

Wi-Fi is unsecured. The buffet breakfast did not have fried eggs and bacon only luke warm.

The staff were amazing 👏 every moment they were happy to lend an ear and a helping hand, the place was beautiful , we stayed in the cottage and it had everything we needed for a perfect getaway Also the beds are incredibly comfortable , so was the sofa

The area is not too close to many activities and things to do, which is of course expected , there is a retail park 10 minutes away by car but to do a lot you'd have to drive into Plymouth, pay for the bridge toll £2.60 [unless you inted to avoid the toll and take an hour long trip to plymouth ] and then pay for parking when you arrive in plymouth... unfortunately you have to book spa facilities in advance which for us was a bit unfortunate as we made a "last minute getaway " for a spa break...
