lovely comfy bed, clean accommodation and having restaurant on site was great for our evening meal. staff were really friendly and attentive. Having onside free parking was great and was so peaceful looking out over fields.

Was quite cold in the evening because we could not get the radiator in bedroom to work, shower wasn't very good, hubby had a shower 1st and said water was nice and hot but when I went in couldn't get it to warm up so had a Luke warm shower. TV reception was really bad, picture and sound kept braking up all the time so had to turn it off. Didn't like the fire escape stairs when leaving on the Monday so would not book when pub was closed again to have to use that exit. cracked lamp at side of bed worried me incase it fell apart on touch.

The property was very reasonably priced. It was very comfortable and clean. I particularly loved the ‘pink’ in our bedroom and was hoping that would be the room we got after seeing the pictures online. The staff and all of the regulars in the pub were so so friendly and welcoming. We had a short wait to get into our room as the staff were so busy with serving customers which clearly speaks volumes about the place! I felt guilty to ask a couple of times if we were able to check in because it was clear just how busy they were but we had a taxi on its way, if not, we would have relaxed and had a drink until they weren’t as tied up. We were able to come in at our own leisure after the wedding and enter through the back of the building which was very well lit. When we left in the morning we had a brief conversation with some of the relatives of the owners of the pub and their lovely dog. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. We will definitely return. An ideal location for those at events such as weddings at Rise Hall as it was only 5 mins each way in a taxi. Initially it was difficult to arrange taxis but the accommodation provided us with the number for Hull cars who were fabulous!

There were no dislikes. All we can say is the staff were very, very busy so weren’t always quick to reply to messages on booking.com or email but that is understandable during busy working hours 🤗 We could see for ourselves when we arrived just how busy they were and they were so very kind and polite 🤗

A very comfortable stay. Cosy room, nice biscuits, bottled water supplied. Dinner, which we enjoyed on the Wednesday was excellent. The inn was very busy, so booking is advisable. Breakfast at £10 per person was also excellent. Regardless of what you order, the charge is the same. A very generously filled omlete was the same cost as a full English breakfast.

The Railway Inn is currently closed to drinkers and diners on Mondays and Tuesdays which isn't really a problem as you can easily contact staff to arrange entry. Exiting and entry thereafter is via the fire escape. The usual stairs to the bedrooms are fairly steep, so care needs to be taken.

Friendly staff, nice and clean, evening meal great quality. Value for money.. Breakfast meal was high quality produce and also value for money.

Communication was poor, we were told no evening meals available but this was not the case. Breakfast was very odd, we were on our own, nothing self service, we would have expected coffee, juice, toast and cereals etc but nothing. We had to track down the chef and let him know we were ready. All a bit odd but I do reiterate top quality food and friendly staff.

Initially SatNav took us to the wrong part of Rise (ended up outside a building called The Old Smithy) but when we approached from the main road it was signed and easy to find. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely food - had an evening meal and breakfast. Room very well equipped. Spacious ensuite. Stayed in room 3.

Access to the rooms, stairs very steep and narrow - not good if you have difficulty walking, top of stairs there was a tiny landing onto which all 3 rooms opened on to. Other way to room (once you had booked in) was via fire escape (these steps easier to manage but path along side of building from there to the car park/entrance was multi level, not sure if there was lighting along this at night? However would come again once my husband's new hip is better.

Nice and clean room and Hotel/pub, the breakfast was tasty and filling at an average price, the other meals we tried were also nice, again at an average pub price, there was also a reasonable choice of drinks to be had.

The fact that we checked out on a Monday and the hotel/ pub was shut so no breakfast option was available, also it was advertised as dog friendly, however this does not count on a Sunday, so we had to sit outside with our dog to eat.

The room was lovely with patio doors to balcony and picture window with lovely view over the countryside. We were entertained by a very happy horse in the field opposite! The room was very clean and as the pub was closed during our stay it was very peaceful. Just what we needed. Like the addition of bottled water in the room. Would definitely stay again.

Our only negative was that when we went to collect our bags from the car we used the rear entrance for accommodation users. It was raining heavily and the rear walkway was flooded at ankle height. It seems like the drains were blocked.

Excellent food, (homemade steak pie is fabulous!) staff are great and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was clean and comfortable, the shower was okay but controls were a bit awkward. Would still recommend for an overnight stay.

A busy Friday evening, we found it too noisy in the dining area. Difficult to have a conversation. Maybe some more soft furnishings to absorb sound would make it better.

Lovely pub/restaurant set in a peaceful location. Cosy little single room with modern bathroom. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was fantastic with quality local produce used. For the price I paid, this was an absolute bargain and it's a shame I didn't get there earlier and try the evening food menu.

Bed mattress was a bit hard for me but that's a personal preference.
