Just do it! The Lodge Stanwell is a gem. There is a beautiful garden that our room overlooked for a lovely view. We instantly felt at home, the room has a little table and chairs by the window with the garden view and it’s very serene. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. Paul is a fantastic host and he even drove us to the airport to catch an early morning flight (for a very reasonable fee). Upon our request and much to our delight, we got to meet Alfie, Paul’s sweet parrot, too. The Lodge is also walking distance to a few spots to eat and we enjoyed our walk and meal very much. Paul’s packed lunches were perfect for our trip the next day, too. It’s a very sweet spot that’s only a 5 minute drive from Heathrow’s Terminal 5 and not much more to Terminal 4. Yet, you feel like you’re in a different world than the airport and chain hotels which is so refreshing. So pleased we stayed here!

The location was perfect and easily accessible walking distance to the village with supermarkets, takeaways and pub. The host Paul was friendly and informative. The location to Heathrow was perfect and only a 10 minute bus trip on the local bus route 442 to Terminal 5 and free train transfer to other terminals. Bed super comfy!!

The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but that was just me being picky and I rinsed the shower before use so no ongoing issues. Bit noisy with other residents at times but I was earlyish to bed and it didn't stop me from sleeping.

Loved the comfiness of the room, deceptively spacious for one person and has all the facilities including good wifi. Also highly recommend the English breakfast it was AMAZING, especially that bacon! Sleep quality and general cleanliness level was also excellent, and the host Paul was very kind and helpful, even when I left without giving back the keys!

If anything I'd say the fan could run a bit stronger, it was quite a hot day outside and the fan didn't really help cool it down much. Also, the bus to go to heathrow terminal 5 was a bit infrequent, only once every 20 minutes, which was a little frustrating, but otherwise it was great!

We had a wonderful four night stay in The Lodge in Stanwell in July 2023 (family of 2 adults and 2 children). It is very well located in terms of Tube access to London centre (proximity to Heathrow is a major bonus if you are arriving by air). Parking was a key value-added for us as we had to take a car. The room, shower, beds were exceptionally clean. We were able to make tea/coffee in the room and there were plates, etc for eating. The owner, Paul, was very friendly and helpful with any queries. The Lodge is such a peaceful location with a very well-tended garden; it was an oasis of calm after busy day of exploring London!

WOW! I am a seasoned traveler and prefer to stay in local B&B/inn's. This is by far one of the cleanest and nicest places I have stayed! The room was immaculate and tastefully decorated. The bed was the most comfortable I had slept in throughout my 10 day stay. Pillows were great too. The bathroom towel was so soft! There was a small fridge, hot water pot, cutlery, and toiletries in the room. The garden area is pretty and serene and has a small bench. I was able to enjoy the backyard and took a phone call in the sunshine. The Wi-Fi is strong and works in the backyard. Would be a great place to sit and do some work if needed. There was large window with beautiful plantation shutters.. the window also opened fully and it was nice to sleep with fresh air! Ownerr Paul is super friendly and provided some walking directions to two differebt pubs in the area. There is also a grocery store that is walking distance, although probably a bit longer than the furthest pub, which was a half mile walk. Paul provided a ride to the airport for a minimum charge and it was easy, quick, and efficient. I didn't get to try the breakfast due to an early flight but if it was anything like the rest of the place, I'm certain it would have been great!

This is an older, traditional building, nicely decorated, with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. It is very near London Heathrow airport, but quiet. Breakfast for 10 pounds was good. We only had an overnight before a flight, and for that it was perfect. The owner drives you a few minutes to the airport for 25 pounds, which is very convenient and a good value.

Our flight was very delayed, so we had to arrive far past the 11:00 PM cutoff (we called ahead). It was awkward, but worked out OK.

Excellent homely atmosphere, clean, comfortable, and perfect for a good night's rest before a long day of travel. Paul is a lovely host and accommodated any additional requests without hesitation. Also got to meet his awesome parrot! The breakfast was fabulous and very reasonably priced. The location was great, near to the airport, with some good food places nearby. I was travelling with my dog and we were particularly fond of the beautiful garden out front :) Would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

I would recommend this B&B to anyone who is having to stay near Heathrow as it is brilliant I found it after it being recommended by a patient who had stayed there and everything they said about it was true. The rooms are spacious and the beds are wonderful, normally i find it difficult to sleep in strange environments but the beds where so comfortable that i fell asleep without a problem. The owner Paul is on hand to answer any questions and the breakfasts are like a 5 star hotel breakfasts if not better, there is also a secluded garden so if you have children or just want to sit outside you can.

Unable to get ordinary channels on the tv but able to get netflix which is good but could you please fix it so that you can have bbc1 and itv1 for local news.

It was such a quick stay that I was not able to enjoy the space as much as I would have liked. The bed was very comfortable and the space was extremely clean. The host was very kind and friendly, despite my arrival being very late in the evening.

I had difficulty getting hot water from the shower. There was hot water, but I was not able to figure out how to get it to work. I tried for 20 minutes to figure it out and because of that, I didn't have time to take a shower before I had to leave to catch my next flight. That was disappointing.
