Stanwell Hotel By Mercure

The staff was incredibly helpful and went way beyond the level of service I would have expected. Daniel who was working the bar went out of his way on a few occasions. He helped us find our room and get oriented which after lots of flying was much needed. At dinner, he and the chef came to our table to sort out our meal choices to accommodate for our being vegetarians with food allergies. I rarely encounter that level of thoughtfulness even in very high-end restaurants. Breakfast was also great. our stay was an unexpected pleasure in between our flights at Heath Row.

The signage for how to reach the annex rooms in the 50s is not very clear. We made two circuits of the hotel before Daniel rescued us.

A very comfortable and pleasant hotel at a very very good price. The room was very clean and spacious which was perfect for our two night stay. We were doing a big walk that started and finished at Windsor racecourse which took about twenty minutes to get to, and about twenty minutes to get to the centre of Windsor. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening which was fine. The breakfasts were good too with a very prompt service.

Elvis Presley was performing on the Saturday night, so when we got back to the hotel the car park was full.

Evening meal not that good I had Thai yellow curry, it was a little cold.. we ordered dessert as it was my partner's birthday we waited? Nothing we finished are drinks still waited the young guy seemed busy with the new system, so we went up to him and asked where our pudding was? He forgot! We said we are going to our room he agreed to bring it up. Time we got it not interested even though they put happy birthday around the plate, we needed to be up early for our flight! So that was again disappointing. Managed to have have breakfast before going to the airport that was Good Room disappointing, needed to go outside to get to our room, 1x pillow which was really uncomfortable.

The location is great, not far off the M25, and very close to Heathrow. The free parking is a bonus! Decent sized car park but fills up quick. The room is big, decent size and a decent size bathroom. Very comfy bed. The dining area and bar are lovely, very clean and nice attention to detail. The staff are absolutely fantastic, really friendly and look genuinely happy to be there. The breakfast was good, had a full English which you can customise to your taste. Lovely croissants, and hot chocolate on the continental selection as well. Great value for money, it's a brilliant location to visit the West of Greater London, or for Heathrow. Staines isn't too far away (10 min drive) if you want some places to eat or shop.

The TV could have been a little bigger, and there aren't any lifts. This wasn't a problem for us, but could be for some, especially with heavy baggage. Plug sockets not next to the bed. Minor things, overall, a really great stay.

Very quiet and comfortable room, with a nice mattress. Nice diner on the restaurant, and decent breakfast, although I chose not having a prepared meal as I was not in the mood. Easy parking, really close to the door. Heathrow airport is just some minutes away, so getting up in the morning was less stressful. Everything was very clean and spotless. And the heating was perfect.

My individual room did have a nightstand but it was placed in the opposite side of the bed as there was no physical space; so if you want to keep your phone close for waking you up in the morning, you have to move the nightstand next to the door -- a small shelf in the wall or something similar would have been handy. For the rooms in the extension building, there is a narrow flight of stairs, as well as some patio doors with a raised frame, so it was a little difficult to get the luggage to the room.

Room was nicely finished. Everything you need including a hairdryer and iron/board. Comfortable bed and pillows. Joy on reception in the evening was SUPERB. She couldn't do enough to help and really made my welcome, after a very long journey, perfect. She was even able to get the kitchen to stay open a little longer for me after a late check in. She's a real asset to the company!

Any gripes I had were small enough not to warrant any feedback.

The hotel is lovely and clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were lovely. Good value for money and the breakfast was very nice.

We were woken up by a maid knocking on our door and letting herself in at 8am on the Saturday morning. We had to shout that we were in the room! We were woken up a lot earlier than we anticipated and meant we weren’t fully rested. We waited a very long time to be served at breakfast. Two other couples and one family who sat down after us all got served before us. So we waited a long time to eat. They all got their food before us. We had to call the waiter over and ask to be served. Also a lot of things were running out. We cold only have one cup of tea as the tea bags had gone and also the milk.

Location is very close to Terminal 5 at Heathrow, 10mins by taxi, 25 mins by local bus route 442 which stops in front of hotel. Dog friendly a great plus! Breakfast ranges from continental to full Monty British bfast with other cooked options between. Coffee soso. Smaller hotel so more inimate, comfortable rooms and ours had balcony with view of park. Restaurant with tasty menu options and full bar in house.

Showing a bit of wear and tear, but with covid shutdowns and reduced travel overr past 2 years understandable.

Stayed here several times before…Dinner is always good.Bedrooms are always the perfect temperature .Bar area Is modern and clean .However it’s always very quite and lacks atmosphere.Staff are polite,friendly and helpful.

Nothing really,it’s the perfect hotel for an overnight stay when using Heathrow. Our room was in what I would call the annex and certain areas leading to the room were a little tatty…stairway carpets and door frames.You actually had to walk outside the main building to get to the annex .

Everything was so smooth, from check-in to check-out. The room was very well managed, bathroom was sparkling clean, and wifi was fast. The staff were exceptional - they never hesitated to answer my questions and respond to my requests. Communication was fast and thorough. The neighbourhood was quiet, and it was very lovely to have a courtyard within the premises. A very pleasant stay overall. Highly recommend to those looking for a stay near the airport, but not too close so that they can relax.

It is a little ways away from the airport, but not too far. A short walk to local shops and restaurants, but deliveries are available.
