Castle Hotel

There was nothing not to like at this hotel. Son and daughter in law had their wedding reception here this week and nothing was too much trouble. Staff were all very friendly and did a good job. The young staff on silver service were a credit to the hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was very good and plenty of it from the wedding breakfast to the actual breakfast. Loved the fact that it was an 11am checkout so you didn't feel rushed. The staff even went to the trouble of sorting a way for some of the guests to be able to watch the Villa game as they didn't have the relevant Sky TV channel, they could have quite easily just said sorry but can't be done. Would highly recommend this hotel to host a wedding reception.

Absolutely nothing.

The bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom were a lot bigger and than I had expected. The bathroom was lovely, had a big bath and shower, even had a stand for wine/champagne. Desk area in the room was good also. If I go back to Tamworth, I would definitely stay in this hotel again. All very clean also.

The website said the bar would be open, it was one of the reasons I booked, but it was closed when we went. Not the end of the world, but was worth noting that it wasn't available unless you booked it.

Central location. Parking in close-by public car park. great welcome by Aaron. Warm room and good bed. Lovely clean sheets and plenty of tea and coffee etc in the room. Iron and board + hairdryer. All in all a good stay although the hotel gives you the feeling it is a little tired (the hotel is old though). the wedge wood conference room is beautiful (we had our wedding reception in the wedgewood room 45 years ago!)

Kind, friendly staff that had excellent suggestions about local food and attractions. The hotel is located within the same block as the Castle, so was perfect for an evening stroll to explore the surrounding grounds.

The room was a bit small, and the tankless water heater never truly heated up (thus a lukewarm shower). Other than that, great experience!

a lot of late night street noise outside till around midnight making it hard to sleep, the worst being a very very loud voice barrier warning which was going off every couple of minutes. Not owned by the hotel so not their fault but the Council need to turn the sound down or have the barrier warning curfewed

It was ok. Staff were great but checking in was difficult as the reception is not always open, even if you book a check in time (the door is locked and you have to phone them)

Quality of the rooms are variable. Some good ones and some not so good ones, none of them bad though. Lack of information on logging onto wifi. Due to the location, it has great access to town centre and Tamworth Castle, but finding free parking is difficult close by

I really liked my stay at the castle Hotel... the twin room was big and had everything we needed in the room as well as a spacious bathroom ... the staff where nice and friendly and when we went out our room was cleaned ie new bedding towels and shower jel and new biscuits and teas and coffe where restocked for us in our room ... all in all a lovely stay 10/10

The only thing I didn't like which isn't the castle hotels fault ... is the night time at around 11 and 12 at night the pubs/clubs close and you can hear people outside making noise ... but this isn't the hotels fault its just the location due to it being in the town but after 12.10 at night it goes quiet

Kind friendly and accommodating staff, cleanliness , locality, nice comfortable bed and being dog friendly.

Sadly, no breakfast was being served, which I wasn't aware of but I do understand the reason for this.

Staff amazing, breakfast was excellent room was comfy and the bed was comfortable all in all it was an amazing experience.

Clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed.

The noise on one night when a wedding reception was being held was incredible. Was finished by midnight, so not too awful, but extremely loud in our room until then.
