Sarah and the team at the LETHBRIDGE went above and beyond during our recent dining experience and accommodation. We booked for a group of 21, at relatively short notice, during a period where the local internet provider failed to rectify a technical issue, meaning all transactions were in cash and the easy to use online booking system was down. Despite this, Sarah was persistent in her approach to ensuring we got everything that we requested. The food was fantastic and delivered at the same time, despite several allergy ‘flags’ and guests who stayed here, prior/after our wedding at CROWCOMBE made special mention of the staff and facilities at the LETHBRIDGE. I can’t thank you guys enough, and would be enthusiastic in recommending this business to anyone visiting Taunton, the Quantocks or who have a special event in the surrounding area. Booked to stay a couple of nights at The Lethbridge Arms as we had booked a trip on the West Somerset Railway and The Lethbridge Arms was very close (5 minute walk) to the WSR at Bishops Lydeard. Sarah (the owner) welcomed us upon arrival and was very hospitable and professional. Room was clean and spacious, beds were very comfortable and there was ample storage in the room. It even had a 2 seater sofa, which was a nice touch. The shower, a little noisy but was excellent when using as it had a strong flow. There was also a local magazine/booklet in the room so that was handy in familiarising ourselves with the village. The room felt like it was a home from home and that made our stay even more relaxing. We didn't realise that The Lethbridge Arms had a Thai chef and the Thai food was amazing; tasty and fresh. The members of staff were polite and friendly. The gardens were lovely to sit in and there was ample room in the car park. The interior in the drinking/eating part of The Lethbridge Arms was thoughtfully decorated and was very attractive. The village has a real sense of community spirit and The Lethbridge Arms also reflected that spirit too. We would definitely stay here again as it was a very enjoyable stay!

The only possible thing that I would say, and this is just my own personal opinion, is that as there is no breakfast served, I'd have liked a cafeteria in the room as I enjoy a morning filter coffee. I don't drink instant coffee, which, alongside tea and yummy biscuits, was kindly supplied in the room.

Sarah, the owner was brilliant, chavangh behind the bar was fantastic and the service from Kayleigh was first class. The Thai meal we had was up there with the best and the Exeter Gold was a very good pint. I travel an awful lot, in the Uk and abroad, this place is up there with a very very good hotel!

I was very late booking, to be fair, so did not have an ensuite, but did have a private bathroom down the corridor

Good location close to West Somerset Railway - we had an excursion booked. Free parking & able to park earlier than check in. Had a selection of Thai starters to share in the evening which were tasty & well presented. Mains menu looked good but had had food on train trip during the day.

Nothing really, fridge (fresh milk for room readily available though)& option of maybe a continental breakfast.

I'm from Australia and forgot to bring electrical converter. They let me charge my phone and tablet using USB port in bar. Always friendly. Restaurant food was excellent.

Cold tap in sink not working. Not particularly important to me but everything else was perfect.

Room absolutely gorgeous, large comfy bed, very clean, nice selection of coffee & tea in room.

Found it very difficult to parkas extremely busy with restaurant. Would be nice if you could reserve a car space if staying in the hotel. Had to drive around for a while.

Clean and tidy. Very nice staff. Lovely food. Plenty of parking. Beer garden. Great location for the local heritage railway.

Great location,close to county town of Taunton but also entry point to lovely west somerset by bus or the train

Excellent staff and food was exceptional

No on-suite in our room, but you get what you pay for, everything else was great.
