Friendly helpful who facilitated late arrival without fuss. Room was homely and comfortable not hotel chain type but with character. Nice little touches like a plug in night light and trouser press. Breakfast was really good with some interesting and unusual options available. The staff:owners are really keen that you have a good stay. Excellent for price.

Couldn’t get the TV to work but I’m sure if I’d arrived earlier I could’ve got staff to resolve so my bad.

Absolutely gorgeous farmhouse dating from the 15th century, very friendly and welcoming owners, lovely garden and an excellent breakfast (choice of full English, vegan and spicy Mexican - and the homemade marmalade was superb. I wish I'd though to ask if they sell jars of it.) A quirk of Yallands Farmhouse is that it is surrounded by a modern housing estate, but from our room - the Orchard Room, overlooking the farmhouse garden - you simply wouldn't know it. Turn the corner from the estate through the farmhouse gates, and you're in a little rural idyll. Facilities are very good, with a delightful dining room - the oldest part of the farmhouse - and a relaxing guest lounge, as well as a small but perfectly serviceable en suite shower/toilet. We stayed overnight to attend a family do on the other side of Taunton. It was a blazing hot June weekend, and the room was nice and cool. Our hosts had thoughtfully opened windows and put a fan in the room to make it very comfortable. We're already planning a couple of weeks in the south west next year just to give us an excuse to stop over at Yallands a little longer.

There is nothing to dislike. It was superb.

The Farmhouse itself is beautiful and the owners were lovely. Excellent breakfast and comfortable rooms.

The plumbing was interesting, pretty sure the whole house heard when I was having a shower, at least I could certainly hear someone taking a late night shower. The location, though in good proximity to what we came to see, seemed to be on a housing estate, which was as amusing as it was odd.

Beautiful breakfast room, and the breakfast was excellent. We had the full English , egg, bacon, sausage, tomatoes or beans and fried bread. As much toast and tea as you wanted. The bedroom was well decorated and very clean. The shower was brilliant hot water that didn’t vary like most places do. Plenty of room to park car on site very useful.

Entrance was a bit overgrown , as you don’t see the house till on it, you’re not sure if in right place. But lovely gardens and plenty of parking.

As soon as you walked through the door, they were so welcoming and had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Jacuzzi bath with simple instructions and salts and lovely gardens and even a shoe shiner im the drawer and gorgous homemade marmalade. Building with great original character. Would definitely stay again if going back to the Taunton. Karen and Chris worked very hard to make our stay enjoyable.

Fences and signs made the arrival look uninviting, but bypassing those, what a lovely hidden gem.

It was such a lovely place to stay the owners were very accommodating and friendly. The room was very nice and clean the breakfast was well cooked and tasted nice.the b&b was close to numerous other places. We will certainly be returning in the future for our second stay

There was nothing that we would change about our visit.

Yallands Farmhouse was a stop over for my wife and I on route to Cornwall. It's really close to Taunton which makes it very convenient for the South West. The room was really clean, plus all you would need for a great night. Kettle, selection of Tea, Coffee and Chocolate. Wi-Fi, lovely En-suite etc. Breakfast was cracking. Cereals, yogurts, juices and a great cooked breakfast. Would stop here again no worries, plus highly recommend it to Friends. All in all, great value for money.

It's not that I didn't like anything, but if I had to be picky, the bed could have been a foot longer, as my feet poked out of the bottom, but like I said, I'm not complaining

The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. It is a very old building, I was in Somerset doing some family history research and discovered that some relatives from 1700/1800s may have worked for the farm. The proprietors are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing. Home made marmalade.

Nothing much that can be done due to the age of the building, the shower was not really adequate and I cannot get in or out of a bath.

We had just spent 2 nights at a Premier Inn which I would describe as adequate. Our stay at Yallands Farmhouse was only for 1 night but everything was spot on and was a welcome contrast to the corporate feeling of the larger chains. Everything was very clean with a very comfy bedroom and bed. Great homecooked breakfast with excellent range of choices. Thoroughly recommended.

Karen and Chris were absolutely amazing hosts and could not have done more to make myself and my partner feel welcome. The friendly chat, wonderful breakfasts and the Tudor renovated barn were fantastic to stay with and I would highly recommend if you're looking for a wonderful B&B with a fairly central location to Taunton. They truly are absolute gems and I hope more people see this review because my partner and I had a lovely, welcoming experience.
