We were running late but the host was good about it even though she was going out. She was very hospitable and had great stories to tell. Breakfast was very good - cost extra, and needed to pay in cash, but very good value when added to the room cost. We had everything we needed in the room, including wine glasses, and it was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Overall, the place feels like home - a very nice home. It put to shame some other places on our stop, which charged outrageous prices and had no idea how to deliver quality, service or value. This was a lovely stop and my friend (from the USA) and I both thought this was the best of all the places we stayed, even though it was the least expensive.

Nothing lacking - it was a great stay.

The host Antionette is lovely, very warm and friendly and genuinely eager to ensure your stay is wonderful. The B&B is gorgeous with a fantastic rural location and fabulous views. Can't believe the cost of a night here is so incredibly cheap. Must've been a misprint. 😂 Our room was beautiful and the beds really comfy with a great shower in the en suite. The incredible back garden was a true picture framed by the French doors in the dining room while we enjoyed our Scottish breakfast which hit all the right places. Antionette is a great host and obviously loves what she does. She even very kindly let us meet and feed her pet Heilan coos, Toffee and Apple after we'd met her lovely dogs. The stuff memories are made of. The highlight of our wee tour of Scotland. 🙂

Wouldn't change a thing. You can't improve perfect.

Wonderful house full of interesting artefacts all part of a design scheme which was very Scottish and very welcoming.A tasty breakfast and warm hospitable host.Extra bonus we were able to see new born Highland calf and feed the adult cows

Nothing we didn't like.Breakfast served with all guests seated together round large table .we loved that and enjoyed chatting to other guests .If you don't like to socialise on the morning might be a minor issue but for us a very enjoyable stay on our trip around North coast.

Lovely location with pleasant outlook. Room immaculate and extremely comfortable, the best beds throughout our travels, en-suite shower room and loo. Excellent TV with perfect reception. Very quiet night no noise from anywhere. Owners so helpful and pleasant to chat to. Perfect freshly cooked breakfast and bonus was feeding left over breakfast toast to a small heard of Highland Cattle, all pets. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Nothing.. for us it was perfect.

Our room was super spacious with a partitioned off sleeping area, the huge window at each end of the room let light flood in, with electric blinds it was great to wake in the morning and enjoy the views from our bed. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable, the bed is enormous and again very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good.

We had initially thought breakfast was included, however there is a separate charge for this with choice of cooked or continental.

Everything about the property was excellent. The room was well furnished and a well equipped bathroom. The views over to the sea from the bedroom window were very nice as were the views of the rear garden at breakfast. The breakfast was really nice and was obviously quality ingredients. Antoinette was very accommodating but didn`t really get chance to meet Stephen. Would highly recommend if staying in the area

It was by far the best b&b. The room was cozy with a wonderful view on the countryside and a peeking on the coast. I loved how the host furnished and decorated each room, the peace of the place and the warm welcome we received. The b&b is conveniently located on the NC500, about 10 minutes to Thurso by car and it has a lot of parking space in the front. The breakfast was a fresh, homemade English breakfast, DELICIOUS!

Room was comfortable and cosy. Tv had Netflix so bonus point right there. A small table and chairs to sit and eat which you don't get in many places. I hate sitting on the bed. Lovely big windows to open for fresh air. On ground floor so no stairs to climb. People left us alone which I prefer especially as I am clinically vulnerable to Covid. Bed was comfortable and pillows were good too. No pressure to get out the next morning which is appreciated

No criticisms at all but a suggestion- a carpeted bathroom and shower room is not for everyone and wasn't for me I'm afraid. Much prefer tiles or vinyl for cleanliness but it's a personal preference I suppose. Other than that we enjoyed our 1 night at Valley view and would book again on our way to Orkney next time

Great views from bedroom. Breakfast was tasty but felt a bit rushed. Beds were comfy and room was quite spacious and well equipped.

Disappointed we had booked double but got a twin but the view was great (we should have queried at time but there had been some confusion over bookings). Breakfast more than stated in information on booking.com I.e. £12.50 not £10 ( but prices increase and food was very tasty)

Location great with lovely view of Orkney. Accommodation surpassed our expectations. Host very welcoming and gave us a list of ‘must sees in the local area’. We were not disappointed with recommendations. Bedroom and facilities excellent. Bonus was meeting hosts very friendly dogs and being taken to meet the beautiful highland cows and their babies. An outstanding and memorable night spent at there.
