We were met by the owners and shown to our upstairs room – we had a lovely view out over the countryside. The room was spacious with a queen size bed, a seating area, tea and coffee making and an ensuite bathroom. The room and bathroom were very clean and well presented, and located in a quiet, peaceful rural setting. There is also a communal lounge for guests to use. A full cooked breakfast was available and served in the dining room the next morning – again all very well presented by our hosts. Paid parking directly outside on the street. Good fast wifi is included. We would definitely stay again.

We had the perfect stay! It was a beautiful, very clean and spacious bedroom with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also perfect. Enough space, very clean and good working. We loved the style of the furniture in the room (and outside). They have a nice place with comfortable sofa's to relax and enough information about the Orkney islands. The breakfast was excellent (also if you need glutenfree). You get a freshly made fruit salad if you ask for fruit, which is so tasteful. Everything you want is available and they made the breakfast room very beautiful and relaxing. You have a beautiful view.

The location was a semi rural location a short drive from the ferry terminal at Stromness. The room was upstairs with a great view to the rear of the property. There was a separate lounge available for the guests with a good view of Stromness. It is only a 20 minute drive from Skara Brae and about half an hour to the main town of Kirkwall. The owners were a local Orcadian couple with young children who made us feel most welcome. Could not fault the breakfasts supplied!

There is nothing I could fault, would stay again if the opportunity arose.

Located close to Stromness and the ferry, my wife and I enjoyed our first visit to Orkney and our stay at the Lindesfarne B&B. Deborah was a warm and welcoming host. Our room was good size, with nice bathroom and adjoining hang out space where we enjoyed watching a movie after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was great. Everything was clean and comfortable. Close to everything. Would stay again. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nothing to do with the B&B, but man it was chilly in Orkney in mid-July!

Our Pentland Ferry was cancelled, and we have to book the last Northlink. We arrived at Stromness at 1 am, and Deborah waited until we arrived. She is super friendly and welcome. I couldn't appreciate it more. The room was clean and warm. The breakfast was really good.

Everything is good. Can't ask more. Just our late arrival makes me guilty for making Deborah wait so late. It was really dark on the island on a rainy night, we missed the junction when we drive from the pier to the house, but it's not far away, easy to find the way.

We absolutely loved Deborah and Kevin. They were wonderful hosts and Deborah gave us some great suggestions for restaurants and sites to see. Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the cooked breakfast was delicious. We were very close to the ferry terminal in Stromness as well as the major sites. I know we couldn’t have found a better place to stay on Orkney.

We had no complaints at all.

We arrived on a dark, rainy and windy night and it was so nice to have a place close to the ferry dock. Deborah was very welcoming and the room was spotlessly clean. We had a very comfortable night sleep and woke up to see cows just outside. Breakfast was well delicious and generous. Deborah gave us some great recommendations beyond the typical Orkney site and our visit to Yesnaby ended up being one of our best trip memories. We loved meeting Deborah and wished we had stayed longer in her beautiful home.

The breakfast was outstanding, the room and bathroom amongst the best I've experienced in my travels - spacious and comfortable. Lovely views overlooking Stromness, the sea, and Hoy. Deborah and Kevin were most helpful with advice on how to get to Hoy etc. and in looking after my bag after checkout until I returned for it in the evening. It is on the main Kirkwall - Stromness bus route (X1) but also only 20 minutes walk into Stromness.

Lindisfarne Bed & Breakfast is an exceptional place to stay. The room was probably the best of my four nights on Orkney Mainland. The design and attention to detail of every feature of the rooms and guest areas is extremely impressive. A lot of thought and hard work has clearly gone into this accommodation. A great base from which to explore the West Mainland, and Stromness a particularly interesting town. In addition, the hosts proved to be the two kindest and most helpful people I met.

The location is relatively central so it was easy to travel to most of the towns, archaeological and wildlife sites etc. (Note: the postcode takes you to a point approx 1/2 mile away - not a problem as the residents of the house at that postcode were more than willing to provide final directions. So if using Satnav get the hotel to email you with final directions . The breakfasts were excellent - probably some of the best we have had anywhere The family were very welcoming and very helpful with planning what to see and where to eat evening meals etc

Cant find a thing to complain about.
