The hotel is wonderfully located next to the park and a very short walk from the sea. There was ample parking (remember to enter your registration on the tablet as you enter the hotel). Unlike many other hotels, it was very well-maintained and looked inviting. The reception team were very welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. The room, a classic double, was impeccably clean with a great bathroom and free toiletries. The king size bed was a bit firm for me, but that's just personal taste. There was a kettle, a wide selection of classy teas, coffees and hot chocolate with fresh milk, chilled water, valentines fudge and two little tarts in the fridge. There was also a wardrobe with safe and two cosy robes plus slippers for going down to the pool. desk, two comfy chairs, full length mirror, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. I don't think I've ever had such a selection of hot breakfast items, freshly cooked. Service by restaurant staff was excellent. The pool was small but perfect for relaxing, with a steam room (very hot) and sauna (not very hot) close by. Also a treatment room and chairs to relax in. The gym, although small, had 4 cardio machines, a weights machine, selection of dumbbells, mat etc. Just one shower and 1 toilet plus 23 changing rooms. There were a lot of guests enjoying a 3 day package deal including live music and bingo. We benefitted from early check in and late check out, but were still able to use the pool and gym for the whole day.

Very little to fault.

The cleanliness

Breakfast staff needs to be better organised ,learn how to acknowledge people, and stop the stupid allocated seat rules,it doesn't work because we were put on a different table the following day, lol, also the bottled water that's in the room is actually tap water....I was annoyed to discover this as we never drink tap water and the staff should make people aware of this.i feel the restaurant is a little overpriced too.also the restaurant has an overpowering fish smell which was a little off putting,we arrived at 2pm and we called smell it as we came through the main door.

Great room comfortable bed and good to have a fridge with real milk included and nice touch of small pastry and fresh fruit available. Evening dinner - good choices on menu for all courses and excellent presentation. Spa facilities and pool very convenient, no fuss and relaxing. Good to have a robe and towels supplied as well. Changing facilities clean and dry.

Bedroom was too hot despite turning off all heating and opening window. Also, perhaps, slightly more attention to vacuuming carpet round wardrobe and furniture legs as noticeable signs of dust collection.

The place is lovely, staff are all excellent, jolly and very attentive. Grounds nice. Decor beautiful. Food tasty, had one evening meal there which was nice. Breakfast had a lot of options.

The room (117) on the first floor was extremely hot, even though the weather was cool. Windows wide open all night. It was oppressive, even with a fan on. Had to sleep without any bed linens as it felt like a sauna. So sleep suffered as a result. Could not understand why it is that hot. The spa was a nice bonus but it needed some attention to the cleanliness. I’d still hope the room heat is a one off problem and therefore would recommend the hotel.

The hotel is very well maintained, with friendly, helpful staff. Also, the bar prices are very reasonable. The outside areas were excellent too

We originally booked 3 nights in a "Deluxe" twin. I subsequently contacted the hotel to ask if we could extend our stay by one night, which they agreed to but we had to change rooms for the last night. Our "deluxe" room was very nice but the bathroom was extremely small. When they moved us into the 2nd room, for the last night, we were amazed at how enormous the room + bathroom were. I would make sure I got one of these rooms (in the extended part of the hotel) if we visit again. Also, one of the chefs didn't know how to poach an egg without putting vinegar in the water (one did know)

Hotel were very kind and sympathetic to the lack of response from booking.com when I had tried to change to a single room. The hotel could not change this. I tried to phone booking.com several days before the date and also messaged them but got no reply, so ended up having to pay for a twin room with breakfasts. Total waste of my money - I did not dare cancel my original booking and rebook a single as I feared no rooms available - there were! The hotel itself was lovely.

Excellent selection of cooked breakfast items. Particularly liked your croissants, also salmon and scrambled egg. Coffee was tasty and hot (very impressed) Evening Dinner had a good selection on th menu. Both my wife and enjoyed the soup starter ( tomatoes based). The evening staff were warm and friendly. Presentation of evening meal dishes was very good

Breakfast…The toasted crumpet with the Egg Benedict was not toasted correctly and spoilt the dish Evening Dinner… I had rump of lamb, it tasted good, however it was spoilt by the fact I had to request a steak knife in order to cut it open.

location , room was great size also bathroom . housekeeping young lady was sweet and lovely smiled and laughed a lot ,, seemed to enjoy her job

there where a lot of stairs ,, had to go up stairs along a corridor then up couple more steps , then downstairs very narrow and windy staircase ,, very odd layout . Also one of the staff in charge of the breakfast team was very rude to us when she asked what room we came from she told us we where to early for breakfast,, so I said why she said we only booked b@b so didn’t want us down that early , we came down every morning same time at 7.30 with the rest of hotel guest and the lovely young man who was there all the rest of the mornings was great not rude and made us fell very welcome unlike the lady with pony tail and glasses ..

Location is great. Breakfast was excellent. Steam room the best I've been in! Deluxe room was perfect. Also had a hot stone massage with Mel which was relaxing, although I thought was a bit expensive. Seating area outside was nice. Would be good to have had a sunlounger.

No jacuzzi and a small pool. Chipped plate served at breakfast with 2 chips in it. Given to a waitress and explained but she just passed it on to another worker and didn't tell them about the chips. I don't think she understood as she wasn't English. The chef should have seen these on plating up, the waiter on serving and the dishwasher! The cleaner didn't replenish the toiletries and we had to ask for more and she forgot fresh towels and had to return. She said she had too much work to complete that day?

The room was spacious and quiet with a view of the sea. The bathroom was enormous with a really big walk-in shower. Breakfast was so good we booked in for dinner each night as well. There was plenty of choice and all excellent quality. Dinner was fabulous and real fine dining. The staff were all really good. Nothing was too much trouble and they were really good humoured and welcoming. I’d really recommend this hotel!
