Loved the location and the general comfort of the apartment. Beds were comfy and show was fantastic. Sofa was also comfy and plenty of room to eat and prepare food. Bonus was an unexpectedly large fridge and freezer - which was fantastic for self catering. Really good value for money, meant that we could get away for break with our teens and not feel cramped during the times when we just fancied relaxing rather than going out. TV and DVD player also great and a controllable thermostat. Daughter loved that there was a dressing table in their room. Second bedroom was spacious enough but not enough room for hanging space. Despite being an attic apartment there was plenty of light coming in. Close to a bakers, take-aways and a small shop, walking distance to main shopping and seafront, on a couple of bus routes and walking distance (12 mins) to train station, and swimming pool (6 mins). Tiny lift to 3rd floor, but was great for luggage and shopping...less grumbling from the teens because they didn't have to carry their bags up 3 flights!!

Very small niggles - somewhere to hang wet coats would have made a lot of difference, just coat hooks in the hall would have been great, or maybe on the wall by the cleaning cupboard so they dripped onto the kitchen floor. Also a bit more crockery and cutlery would have been helpful. As I said, very small niggles in an otherwise fantastic flat.

Stayed in apartment no 2 Great location with parking. Spacious and comfortable apartment. Well-stocked cutlery, plates. Tea, coffee, biscuits welcome pack a nice touch. Safe gated outdoor patio was ideal for the puppy. Easy access, great communication.

Only a couple of minor things An indoor front door mat especially on wet days would be good Also, a curtain/net to the archway of the shared bedroom would be better to add a level of privacy. An outdoor bench/seating. There is so much potential for the patio, and some garden touches as noticed this is at the front of the property but not back.

nice modern and clean apartments. great location, a shortish walk to the seafront, beach, restaurants, bars etc. there’s crazy golf nearby and also an indoor swimming pool and spa at a nearby hotel you can pay to use. there are small shops nearby for food and drink needs and a good bakery.

all of the other properties on the road had lovely frontages with plants etc but there was nothing at the front of our accommodation except a couple of benches. it is on a busy road so is quite noisy.

Jo the manager was extremely helpful at Austens Apartments after I had had an awful experience with another property where the owner was uncontactable and no access, and spent 2 hours on phone to Booking.com to find an alternative.

Only slight issue was there was no hairdryer, and I could not find a single shope that sold one, so i looked like Crystal Tips for the holiday.

on arrival was greeted by a vacuum cleaner in the hallway outside my property left there all weekend car park very tight spaces flat three asking me to move my car so they could get out a few times which I didn’t mind I wouldn’t call it Austen’s luxury apartments more Austen’s apartments I think Would be more suitable trip hazard in the living room crease fold ran across carpet Not ideal with a not so stable two year old bathroom cracked tiles main bedroom big iron burn to carpet And what I can only describe as gouge marks in the wall behind the headboard and just above

Apartment well placed for Torquay town centre. Quiet area but with easy access to bus stops and shops. Nice size apartment with everything needed for a short stay. Beds very comfortable in quiet rooms.

Notification from owners could have been better initially but when contact was made, good communication. Oven could have been cleaner.

Kitchen was well appointed with utensils, crockery and knives & forks etc. Shower worked well. Beds were comfortable. Generally a good level of cleanliness. Heating worked fine when it was on. Good supply of loo rolls.

Heating was a bit hit and miss as to when it came on. Shame the Wifi hub wasn't working, but proprietor did give advance warning of this. Was a bit disconcerted by the gap under the entrance door to our apartment...I understand the floors are uneven, it's an old building, but that's a fire door and that would not stop fire or smoke getting past under that gap; don't know how that would have been signed off by Building Control.

Fantastic property with all the amenities you need. Very close walk to the pier, marina and the beach. Jo was fantastic and went out of her way to help us out. We had an issue with the towel rail and it couldn’t be fixed so jo went out of her way and provided us with extra towels so we were not inconvenienced

The place is amazing but just a few bits will take this to a 10: Beds were not that comfortable and made noise so just needs a change Long mirror in the second bedroom would be great as only in main room Lift is very tight can just about get two people in so it took us multiple trips to get our luggage in and out Otherwise it was a pleasant stay and very clean!

Apartment had great layout, decor and furniture. It was incredibly clean both inside apartment and shared hallways and corridors. The location was perfect being within 5 minute walk of all the local attractions. Communication with host has been brilliant at every step of the way. I would recommend and will stay again.

Perfect location, very easy to walk to town and the nearby beaches. Very easy to self check in, rooms were comfy and the bathroom was amazing!
