The Seamill House Hotel was outstanding! One of, if not, the most luxurious room I have ever stayed in. It was called the Corrie room, the largest. The ensuite, main room and the private balcony were so awesome! Out on the balcony you could see the sea and mountains. Very tranquil. The large bed was super comfortable. The ensuite was very stylish, with an old style bath and power shower to boot! There was a very spacious seating area, with a TV, and below that a special-effect fire place, which looked really cool! The room provided all amenities. The breakfast and evening meals were very delicious. The staff were brilliant. Cameron, the front of house/reception/manager was a perfect host, making yourself feel so welcome when first checking in. The whole team (including the bar manager, cleaners and restaurant crew) were all marvellous. The location was perfect. 15 minutes walk from the train station to the hotel, and just a minute's walk from the hotel to the beach! The coastal walks are quite breathtaking.

View from balcony was spectacular and I got some great sunset photos. Bed was very comfortable, wardrobe had enough hanging and storage space. Fridge contained fresh milk and water. Plenty different lights all worked well, bedside lights were touch control. Young local staff in restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Cleaning of room was to a high standard.

Our shower could not be regulated, either scalding hot or freezing cold. We requested walk in shower which we got but problems with temperature made it difficult to have a proper shower. Chairs to watch TV were very uncomfortable, definitely need replaced with reclining chairs. We were in Corrie Suite. Steps up to balcony were too high and narrow, not safe for anyone with mobility problems or elderly like us.

My room was very comfortable and well equipped, and the modern shower room was spacious and well lit, with plenty of space to lay out cosmetics etc. Breakfast in the room overlooking the sea was exceptional; the eggs Benedict were superb, and the coffee good and strong. The staff were delightful, and I overheard them handling a rather difficult customer with tact and courtesy. The hotel is on the main coast road and I was able to get there, and leave the next morning easily by bus. The bar is cosy and comfortable, with a slightly separated area for watching TV - an excellent idea.

Nothing! It was the ideal place for where I needed to be that night.

Lovely room with some nice touches, especially the coffee machine and toiletries. Second morning breakfast blew day one out of the water thanks to Mia. The coffee she made us was rich, creamy and frothy it gave my favourite Costa Flat White a serious run for its money. Breakfast day two also much better.

Bathrobes would be a lovely extra touch. Lot of noise night one due to loud voices, loud knocking on doors (not the hotel’s fault) and doors shutting loudly (perhaps a sign to be mindful of other patrons would be a shout. Breakfast the first morning was disappointing. Standard coffee, food took a while, wasn’t as hot as it could have been and poached eggs not well cooked.

Breakfast choice very good, Eggs Royale and full english breakfast, along with buffet cereals/toast etc. We also had lunch and dinner at the hotel, pasta choice for lunch and cullen skink / seabass for dinner, all excellent and very good value. There is a car park behind the hotel. Inviting, friendly bar on ground floor and The View restaurant on first floor has stunning views to the Firth of Clyde and over to Isle of Bute.

The hotel is on a busy through road and the front of the hotel perhaps doesn't do it justice. The inside of the hotel is very impressive; although the outside is welcoming, perhaps a pressure wash / refresh of white paint to the front walls would match the inside.

Stylish, newly refurbished interior belies the exterior (which is work in progress, so don’t be put off by the A-boards outside, with chalk-writing advertising Sky sports). On a main road but rooms double-glazed plus ear plugs thoughtfully provided! I slept like a log without ear plugs. Room large and sumptuous, with dressing gowns; proper hairdryer; vertical tower fan; iron/ironing board plus toiletries. Mini fridge with dairy milk and bottle of water - also pods for coffee maker. Not many rooms which is good. Lovely restaurant with views overlooking the sea (in distance). PS onsite car parking at rear.

Exterior - but that’s a work in progress.

We visit here often for a short getaway. The hotel is in a beautiful location and is much more modern and cleaner than others in the area. The views from the rooms are stunning and even though we opted for the “cheaper” room on this trip, we were more than happy with it and were provided ear plugs for the busy road outside although, this wasn’t an issue for us but super thoughtful. The tv’s are smart tvs with all apps included and full freeview, there are Elemis products provided like shampoo conditioner hand wash etc which is a lovely touch that it’s a great quality product. The view restaurant within the hotel also has really delicious food and the steak pie is by far our favourite, (adding peppercorn sauce instead of gravy is highly recommended and the staff are more than happy to help with any changes or food allergies etc). Beautiful Scottish breakfast provided & the bar is great too and is also dog friendly. The staff are so lovely and helpful too! Cannot recommend here enough if you are in the area!!

That we didn’t book the Brodick suite on this visit for the beautiful sea view and balcony

Very good lift. Beautiful views. Great food. Lovely helpful staff. Quiet and peaceful even tho there was a bar downstairs we never heard a peep, and it is very close to the beach. We had plenty of room to be comfy in the awful bad weather that we had. We even had a Tv we could actually watch Netflix films on. The cooking was superb. Brilliant Eggs Benedict. Thankyou. There was a lovely balcony with a table and 2 chairs. Not for children tho. Fabulous large bath tub and superb large shower for more than one person. Such a lovely hotel. Will definitely stay here again. Isle of Arran and Bute also are nearby if you get a ferry. Get a Sea view room if you can. When we arrived the hotel had changed hands 2 weeks before but retained many staff I believe. They were all doing a marvellous and very professional job.

Nothing but the awful weather we got. Not their fault. Hope everyone has better weather than us as it is such a very very beautiful place.

Large and attractive room with good facilities for tea, coffee, quiet fridge. Large towels and clean spacious bathroom. Very friendly staff. Good access with lift to upper floors. The restaurant was on the first floor and had a pleasant atmosphere and views out to Arran. We appreciated the 11:00 am check out.

The road was quite noisy but earplugs were provided and didn't bother us once we went to bed. Breakfast would benefit from more choice, perhaps some fresh fruit and yogurt. The link sausage quality was poor. Curtains or better black out blinds would improve sleep quality.

We loved our room with a balcony ... what a view over to Arran! Very comfortable bed , beautiful bathroom with the large double ended bath and large walk in shower. The room was very clean and light and airy. We were celebrating our anniversary and a birthday ... they even added a nice touch of petals on the bed and offered a cocktail for my birthday! The meals were delish.... breakfast was amazing ! All freshly cooked to order! Service was great... staff so helpful and friendly! Highly recommend this hotel .. we will be back !

There was no negatives ! 😃
