Lovely room with a great view. Room was a good size and bathroom was great. Great breakfast, very fresh and hot served on hot plates. We ate twice in the evening and it was fantastic better than some restaurants we’ve eaten at !! Alan and all his staff were great nothing was too much trouble.

A few tweaks needed but nothing major. Our bathroom door didn’t shut properly, bigger bath towels would be nice. Tv took some working and the shower was slightly temperamental . Wouldn’t stop us staying again though !

The room was lovely and well decorated. We were given an upgrade on arrival to a family suite which was fantastic so our 1 year old could sleep in a separate room. Dinner at the restaurant was just lovely, and the staff were really welcoming. A delicious cooked breakfast was included as well which we enjoyed.

The shower temperature fluctuated quite a bit and the water pressure wasn't great. Other than that, I really can't complain!

We stayed in room 1 which had its own small sitting room separate from the bedroom Both the sitting room and bedroom had superb views of the Clyde The bathroom was a good size and nicely done Breakfast each morning was always hot and cooked to order again with a great view of the Clyde Dinner menu was good and the food was delicious It’s a small hotel so everything was friendly and not like big hotels impersonal

Everything was good

Friendly and homely atmosphere from Boss, Alan and Manageress, Sue. Very best food served in any Hotel over the past 10 years. Small sitting room attached to our spacious bedroom, at no extra cost. Small but adequate car park foc. Easy walk downhill to sea shore and excellent path to town centre and ferry port to Little Cumbrae and Millport. Highly recommended for visitors looking for first class food and facilities at an affordable price.

Could not work two remote TV controls, otherwise difficult to find fault with an excellent, if wee, hotel.

The staff here were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they were really friendly. One staff member called us a taxi to get us to a wedding at Kelburn and we had a lovely chat with another member of staff in the morning at breakfast (apologies, we didn’t catch their names). We were pleasantly surprised at how well the hotel was able to cater for our dietary requirements at breakfast - not a lot of places have the vegetarian square sausage as an alternative to meat. The room was everything we needed and it was really clean, the bathroom had just been renovated by the looks of things and felt exceptionally clean too.

Good little hotel on outskirts of Largs. A short walk (either on main road or on seafront) to both Largs or the marina Rooms were clean and bed very comfortable. Hearty breakfast and good quality, expertly cooked and well priced dinner in restaurant with lovely views.

Water pressure from electric shower was a bit underwhelming, but no other issues . Car park is small but you can park in Antony Rd a minute walk away (don't park in the lane beside hotel - "neighbour issues"

Excellent location within easy walk to town and local view points. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was fabulous, only stayed 2 nights but ate in hotel both evenings. Great selection of food, wine and other drinks. Breakfast was equally good with excellent variety of choice. The view from the dining room was incredible, over Cumbrae, Bute, Arran and Mull of Kintyre. Wish we had stayed longer. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay next time.

Attractive property with stunning views over Largs. Friendly owner. Delicious food. I would particularly recommend the vegetarian haggis. Mega comfortable beds! Fair priced and good value for money.

There was nothing I disliked. We had extra space as we had been put in the family room, even though it was just the two of us, so were certainly able to spread our things out!

The Haylie is situated a short distance from the town centre about a mile uphill from the town centre. It has a superb outlook over the Clyde to the nearby island of Cumbrae and the more distant hills of Cowal. The staff are welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a spacious bedroom with a sitting area overlooking the Firth. Breakfasts are substantial and well prepared and evening meals were very good.

Nothing to say here.

The lovely lady who greeted us, she was still making dinner when we left to go to our concert, and smiling when we got back afterwards. Rooms were absolutely stunning, views to die for and the small lounge was so cute. Breakfast was amazing, honestly I would totally recommend.

Nothing at all, the TV didn't tune in to start with but it wasn't an issue the owner sorted it in no time at all.
