Easy location to find and access just outside of Stevenston. Rooms are basic but comfy, clean and functional - on a par with Premier Inn, that sort of thing. All the staff we dealt with were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was pretty ordinary - in particular the Lorne Sausage on the Scottish Breakfast was rubbery as if it had been left sitting in a warmer for an hour after being cooked. That was a personal disappointment, being the first time in about 15 years I'd had the chance to eat it. I would say in the kitchen's defence we had dinner in the pub/restaurant as well, and that was genuinely excellent.

The Bedroom was of ample proportions with a nicely laid out Bathroom/Toilet Area. Very Comfortable Large Double Bed, very quiet at night & had good size TV on wall at base of Bed & sufficient Tea/Coffee making facilities. Nice Restaurant opposite Hotel ( Reception for Hotel is actually in Restaurant so best to check in to get Room Key before unloading bags etc ) Aidan ( staffmember ) was good at making sure that everything was to our satisfaction, as were other waitresses in the Restaurant. There is also a Greggs,KFC & Costa Coffee all within a few paces from Hotel so Food Options are fairly good.
Slight criticism is that Ground Floor of Hotel had a slight smell of cigarette smoking, but second floor was free of any odours ( our Room was thankfully Second Floor ), Bar shuts at 2130 (9.30pm) so you need to plan carefully if you like to relax in the evening with a few drinks Check Out on a Sunday is 11am, at 10am the Cleaning Staff ( 1x Female ) attempted to enter the Room, I think if I hadn't been so quick to hide behind the Room Door before she got full entry she might have witnessed a " Full Monty " experience.

Room was clean and comfortable and fit 2 adults and 2 children with room to move around still
Our bathroom door handle would stick meaning if either of the children closed the door we had to let them out as you really had to push down to open. On our second night we were a bit chilly but the heating in the room didn't give off hardly any heat at all so we just layered up. And lastly we could of done with a second card because if one adult nipped out to the car etc...the rest of us were plunged in to silence and darkness as they needed the card to get back in to the building.

We arrived late due to the event we were attending finishing late I rang ahead to inform them and they were more than accommodating. I booked on booking.com and thought the payment would automatically come out however I left the hotel without paying they sent me an email to inform and when I rang up immediately to pay they were lovely and helpful even though I was mortified. Big shout out to the security guard who helped us on arrival and brought us extra bedding and made sure we were all ok.

nice clean hotel very quiet
a notice on the reception window would help guests to know you have to check in across at the pub after ringing the bell a few times i stood for 10 mins then went across to the pub to see whats happening i checked in then to be told the reception is not staffed i did notice later there is a small notice as you go through the first set of doors on the wall but most people are focused on the reception area . the shower curtain just reaches the top of the bath it kept wafting outwards resulting in the floor getting wet

It's pretty convenient to take the bus to the Ardrossan ferry to go to Arran (that's why I was there). Also the staff is extremely nice and helpful, and the room itself was great - clean, nice desk, air conditioning, etc.
The restaurant next door (Red Squirrel) is really expensive for what it is, if I'm being honest. I wish the room had a small fridge because frankly I wasn't going to pay the prices they expected at the restaurant. Also, there's not really anything to do nearby, you'll need to bus to get anywhere good. But you probably already knew that if you were booking a hotel in this location lol...

Good value, large rooms. Clean and comfortable. Good location with food outlets nearby. We stayed 3 times within 10 days. Handy for exploring Ayrshire by car. Some of the staff in bar/restaurant were lovely including one very bubbly, helpful girl on our first stay during breakfast who was exceptional. However didn't see her again during our later stays.
Rooms on the ground floor were not so good with vibrations and noise from the rooms above. However we requested rooms on first floor for next visit which were much better. Some staff in bar/restaurant need more training in customer service however realise it is difficult to get hospitality staff at the moment.

Near to family ,large rooms plenty eating place near facilities..
Found staff unhelpful..no clean towels in room dirty towels left from previous guests .went across to tell staff in the bar was asked to bring them over .then would get clean ones ...NEVER RECIEVED THEM ...as this was a funeral that we were attending early morning we were upset enough without having to go across to bar and request clean towels again ...

The location and ability to eat locally with easy access to my room when required was all important. Helpfulness in handling a error in ordering and the subsequent help in making my room perfect was very much appreciated. Thank you.
Breakfast was delayed at the busiest time to hold a Christmas children's party. It did delay but was advised a breakfast could still be had but would be a little noisy. I chose a quite breakfast. A good party was had by all.
