Mark, the host, was lovely and the room was spotlessly clean. Good hospitality tray and could and would be replenished if required. Ideal spot in Bowness and had a parking place for the whole time we were there. Bed was too soft for me personally but that is my own personal choice so will not mark it down for that as others would prefer a soft mattress.

The only downside was the shower poor pressure and the shower head kept falling down. Other than that nothing wrong with the property at all and I was still able to shower just proved a little difficult.

The room had everything I needed over my four nights stay. Convenient parking. Beautiful, lovingly looked after garden. Perfect location - quiet, yet within a walking distance to a jetty, bus stop, swimming spot near the Marina, lots of places to eat - fast or relaxed meals - lovely little town to walk around and numerous attractions. Also, lots of places of interest only a short drive away.

This is not that I didn’t like, just worth noting, that a property is on a slight hillside, so walking time from a Marina side needs to be adjusted accordingly.

It was charming and well located a little away from the crowd’s. Our host Mark was very welcoming and informative. The rooms were super clean.

Just a side note as the accommodation was super but we were with another couple and it would have been nice to have a common room available to meet up and share a small meal as eating out all the time is expensive. There is one and it was offered by Mark to have it made ready but we felt okay to live with the status quo.

The guest house was easy to find and there was free parking. The room was exceptionally clean and beautifully presented. There was tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room with plenty of milk and a couple of biscuits too. They provided excellent amenities including body wash, shampoo and hand soap. We had a room with a super king size bed which was again exceptionally comfortable and we had an en-suite bath with a shower over. The towels were of a good quality and lovely to use as the bathroom radiator was heated. If I could give a 20 for cleanliness I would as all of the areas in the guest house were spotless. The host was friendly and communicated well.

The only minor negative point would be that the water pressure wasn’t great but it is an old building in otherwise excellent condition.

lovely traditional property in a fab location in Bowness, just off the main road about halfway down the hill right where all the shops start. our room and en suite was a bit dated but was spotlessly clean and fresh and had TV, towels, toiletries and kettle/tea coffee milk etc. lovely and quiet at night and only really saw the hosts at check in and out so you feel as if you can come and go.

nothing I didn’t really like - knew that breakfast wasn’t included but there’s plenty of choice in Bowness or Windermere.

Good location. Great hospitality tray. Nice room, comfy bed had a good nights sleep, no noise. Good shower, nice and hot with plenty of water pressure. Very handy for the cinema, few mins walk into town. Owner pleasant and friendly. Free car parking which is great and a real bonus. All in all a very nice stay and would return.

Just to let other people know and not a criticism. Room on top floor, which is not a problem for us but could be if you had mobility problems. Stairs to climb.

The location is excellent, lovely gardens and peaceful. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of tea and coffee. Free parking right outside the property.

The only thing was it could have done with a bigger shower as the bathroom was very large which was great. Also just another small observation, A small shelf under the mirror in the bathroom would have been ideal. However, these things wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

Lovely room and bathroom. Very clean with good facilities. Great location for getting around the area. Host very willing to help with information.

No breakfast! Misleading info on website which still says breakfast is provided. Disappointing to arrive and only then find out. Host explained he was trying to get this amended on website. The accomodation was good but because of the lack of breakfast it didn't quite meet expectations.

The Room was lovely & quiet & peaceful, it was everything we wanted.

Nothing could of been better. The Breakfast was amazing. The room, infact the whole house was amazing & so clean. Grace never stopped. (Or Mark). Mark even went out of his way to offer me his own parking space at the back of the House as all the bays were full. Thanks for looking after us Mark & Grace. If we're ever in the area again. Fantastically clean property, lovely down to earth hosts. Room 2 was really cute and astounded at how clean it was. Breakfast was also plentiful and tasty. Location 5* All the little things taken care of and a very comfortable stay Thanks Mark and Grace :) We will be back.

There isn't anything to not like. The only thing we could possibly down rate is the parking. But it is a busy time of year and Mark always accomodated us if we couldnt find a space.
