We were blown away with how gorgeous the interior was both inside the restaurant and in the bedroom. The exterior was also beautiful and the gardens were well kept and had a beautiful view across the town and lake The staff were very welcoming, friendly and professional and attended to us with excellent service. The room was also spotlessly clean and very comfortable and cozy. We were very happy with our room and facilities and a nice little view into the garden. The food was lovely! And we were really impressed with the breakfast selection too.

The only improvements I can suggest are minor ones. The room was quite warm and we couldn’t figure out how to open the window so maybe a plug in fan would be a great addition to the room. There were also small areas which needed a touch up of pain such as the doors and skirting boards as there were small chips in the paint. These are only minor and didn’t take away from our experience. We were very happy with our stay!

The staff were friendly, helpful & accommodating, nothing was too much effort. The hotel was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Pretty much everything you need in a room was there, good shower, comfortable large bed. Location is perfect for touring the lakes and accessing Bowness. Limited parking spaces, but we managed to get one all 3 days of our stay.

The only issue, was we paid for a "premium" double, which was very small, so not sure what made it a "premium". Despite there being space, there were no shelves in the bathroom on which to place your bathroom bags, so these had to live in the bedroom area on the one small table top, which again could have been bigger. The fan in the bathroom actually worked, which is pretty unique in my experience. But it did keep depositing dust on the basin/floor. A quick vacuum would have solved that one. Small niggles only, which did not distract from our stay.

LOCATION WAS PERFECT

The car parking was not what I expected. There should have been either spaces reserved for residents or enough spaces for all visitors. We had to park in a pay carpark more that a couple of hundred metres away

Great location, beautiful downstairs interior and decor. Big comfy mattress. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and presented nicely Friendly staff, prompt service.

A little pricey for what could only be described as basic room accommodation. Shampoo & conditioner provided but no body wash in the shower. Pillows were extremely hard and did not afford a good night's sleep. Evening meal was OK but pricey at £17 for fish & chips. Not a meaty fish but plenty of batter ! £19 for a curry that was bland.

disappointed that there was flies in the room when we arrived and the shower plug was filthy other than that after we sprayed the window with fly spray no more to see we notified the staff but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked and had to stay in the room also paid extra for lake view which yes we did have a view of the lake but in the distance in high side should of not paid the extra why we was only in the room for one night some negative feedback but would not put you off this hotel in the end ended up ok nite

location, food staff atmosphere

our room was freezing cold. got to our room at 3.30 no heating on turned up the radiator in the bedroom and had to switch the bathroom radiator on came back to the room at 9.00 the room was still freezing the hallway was warmer than our room. went to reception a gentleman came up agreed it was very cold coukd only bring an electric heater. this did warm up the room but was told to not leave on as fire hazard hence the room was cold in the morning.. we booked the room as on the website “ cosy room “ but it was far from that the toilet roll holder also was not fitted

The location was great and the hotel was perfect for our needs, we were offered a welcome drink voucher and free parking. I would stay here again but the cost of the hotel would need to be right (this hotel can exceed our budget).

Our room was on the top floor, this was a family room but left us with no where to store our pram and was a pain taking two young children the hill and up 3 flights of stairs.

great staff customer service, modern rooms and facilities. great cooked breakfast

lot of contractors around working (can’t be helped obviously) but language from them wasn’t great. brand new tv would not connect to the internet, therefore couldn’t watch tv. one time toon service left their cleaning chemicals in the room, a mistake clearly as were only human, however should be stored in a locked cabinet away from the general public, could have been bad if children had got a hold of it.

Really nice choice of breakfasts, plus the hotel is pretty much centre of the town. We also accidentally left a watch in one of the rooms, and the hotel contacted us soon after we checked out to see if we were aware, and would like to return to pick it up. Great value, considering breakfast was included in the price.

If i recall correctly, some of our group complained that the pillows weren't the comfiest. Other than that, no complaints about our stay at all.

The Inn is in a great location and the pub gardens is lovely. The food is very good. I would stay again in a different room .

We stayed in the separate building owned by the Angel Inn across the road. Which with a dog on a first floor and the window opening a small amount due to safety, in the heat was not great but they did provide a fan. The parking is also limited with very small spaces.
