The breakfast was great, had a varied selection. Room was quite big plenty of space to store our belongings. Fan in the room whilst loud, was much appreciated.

The bathroom was quite cramped when considering the large room, making getting ready for the day difficult as easy to get on top and in the way of eachother. The bed was a double made of two singles that left a considerable dip in the middle which was very uncomfortable especially when trying to be close to my partner. Whilst it is advertised that the hotel includes free parking which there is, it is by no means enough to provide for all guests, meaning overnight I had to pay for expensive parking which was quite out of the way. This meant having to carry heavy luggage to the room over a considerable distance. I found this to be very frustrating and it made my holiday stressful. The staff seemed very disinterested despite seemingly knowing about the issue beforehand.

The room we stayed in was cosy and had a lovely view of the lake. Lovely decor, towels were nice and fluffy. Excellent location to the town and lake. The staff in the pub were friendly and the food was really nice.

The car park was small and quite tight for manoeuvring if you had a larger vehicle. Not enough spaces for guests so there was a chance there would not be a space to come back to if you were go out for the day. Motion activated lights kept coming on in the night (could see under the door) but there was no movement in the hall...(haunted??!!)

The location was great. Easy walking distance of everything in Bowness. Breakfast was also very good with lots of options, hot and cold. The room was small but it was described as cozy so that was to be expected. It was adequate for our needs. Somewhat surprised there wasn't a refrigerator in the room as that seems to be the norm these days. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

We were in the annex and while it wasn't a problem for us, anyone with mobility issues should be advised that there is a short but fairly steep climb and a lot of stairs. There is no elevator.

Very nice room food excellent

Not being told of The slope of the road between oakbank and Angel inn even though they were informed of our difficulty in walking. We had to manage this with great difficulty every morning for breakfast and our evening meal.. we were unable to take car as there was no guarantee you would be able park even with a blue badge. I cannot describe our return struggle back to our room. We didn't want to eat elsewhere as we were frightened we would not get a park at oakbank.

Room was very clean along with all the public areas. Breakfast was good. The hotel was in a great location and central for all amenities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate one night in the pub 'The Angel Inn' which is part of the Oakbank and the food and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

The room and especially the bathroom was small but it was adequate for a couple of days stay. Everything else was perfect.

Was very close to town centre. Restaurant at Angel Inn was very good. Staff were lovely and helpful Parking was good on site. Facilities in room were very good.

Was a little disappointed that room was below floor level.so no view as was in perfect location for a lovely view of Bowness. Bed was comfy but could maybe suggest ( just for future guests) that a soft and harder pillow be provided as all were a bit hard for my liking.

Room decor and overall experience was good. Location brilliant. Staff were lovely.

Found a dodgy looking hair on a bathroom towel :/ breakfast was full English served luke warm and bacon inedible. Our room was ground floor near the front door had a terrible nights sleep due to people talking loudly outside on and off all night. Front door banging. Won’t be returning.

The location was perfect, excellent in reaching shops pubs restaurants in 2mins walk, The room was great the pub is lovely and the food was unreal, especially the fish & chips also one lady that worked at the pub had just started doing her first set up for breakfast, She was really nice & chatty and very welcoming

we didn’t have no problems with the property just the people who were staying above us, 2am got woken by noise sounded like they were throwing furniture about

Bed breakfast and starters and main course very good good staff friendly Anniversary treat. Location perfect.

We had dinner at the Angel starters lovely along with main course couldn't fault but the desserts not good at all the peach cheesecake didn't resemble anything but a messed up trifle and the gingerbread pudding also totally disappointed with desserts and not value for money otherwise everything else was perfect .

Stayed here before as location excellent. Loved the quirky room on the 3rd floor. Good value for money. Good idea to offer free drink vouchers for not having your room cleaned. I was able to use my blue light card for discount on food and drinks. Definitely will be back.

A little disappointed with breakfast. Quantity ok but not cooked to our liking.
