Very good breakfast

Not enough care + attention at dinner. Some undercooked food. Unsatisfactory response from management

The hotel and rooms are fantastic. The style of the overall furniture is mostly in keeping with it being Tudor. The attention to detail and service is exemplary. The Christmas decorations were still up and were some of the best I have ever seen. I would imagine that this would be a stunning place to spend Christmas. Breakfast was great. Big selection of buffet food and a varied choice on the menu. I couldn't fault the food at all. The evening meal was really lovely. Not sure how they managed to make an apple crumble souffle but they did!

Our blinds were broken in the bathroom and so we couldn't use the room which resulted in us having to change rooms. Disappointed as we had a feature room which we were looking forward to staying in but we were very pleased to be upgraded to a suite. Dinner was a bit expensive but not excessively

Dated from 1530 and absolutely amazing. Beautiful grounds, stunning entrance, situated in its own private valley and a dwelling on this site from the 12 th Century. An absolutely unique experience with fantastic service and wonderful staff. Particular thank you to Amelia, Arni and Immy for making our stay particularly memorable. Great food and a 2AA Rosette restaurant. Our room was beautiful, in the courtyard and like our own private cottage. Beautiful warm swimming pool and spa facilities. A lovely relaxing break .

I could not find a thing to dislike.

lovely place to stay lots of history , suite was nice comfy and clean with nice balcony ..the grounds where outstanding ..we where there for a wedding..all tables for breakfast where reserved for wedding party which was so nice...food at the wedding was lovely..my only criticism is food was coming out very slow..and extra food was coming out when we had already eaten our food ..eg potatoes..veg and sauces. top table had eaten when some people hadn't even got there food ..staff throughout the hotel where very polite and accommodating..Spa was lovely ...shame Sun lounges weren't on part of the grounds ..not just in the spar..definitely will be back

the overall experience was brilliant

Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds. We had a feature room with private terrace. Didn't use because of the weather but must be nice in the summer. Great size room with fantastic free standing bath and bed was very comfortable. Had a nice massage and Spa is adequate. Unfortunately inside Sauna was very cool and outside Jacuzzi's need an upgrade as jets not powerful at all. Breakfast made to order was very nice and vegetarian Sausages were of a decent standard.... Really great staff and customer service. Very limited Vegan dishes for dinner but I appreciated Chefs effort at making a special dish especially as it was my birthday. Overall a nice stay and we would visit again.

Very nice greeting on arrival. Was shown to our room and our luggage was carried there for us, which is rare these days. The room was lovely with a view of the lake. A massive bed.that was comfortable. Very quiet most of the time. A really good breakfast, plenty of choice. Evening meals were good, but a couple of less fancy options would have been nice. Lovely grounds. Would stay again.

The bathroom was nice, but the shower over the bath was a bit tricky to use. The roll-top bath on legs was quite high, which coupled with the glass shower screen made it difficult for those with impaired mobility to get to the shower. There was no anti slip surface or shower mat, and nothing to hold on to, so showering was a bit risky. The shower screen seemed ineffective at points. Instructions on use of the air conditioning would have been useful. The bathrobes could have been more generous.

I forgot to book a ground floor room but was able to obtain one. No.26. The staff were very helpful with this. Lovely building and so well maintained. Bathroom excellent huge bath and wet room. Breakfast was excellent as were the staff. The 3rd time we've stayed here.

Bit disappointed this visit. The bed was rather hard so neither of us slept well on both nights of our stay. Also nowadays usually king size beds rather than doubles in a lot of hotels. TV could do with being on the wall so the dresser could be used to sit at and do hair and make up with a stand alone mirror as nowhere to sit to do this. I could also hear the guest in the room above snoring all night ! Not your fault but my goodness it was loud never heard this ever before when staying in hotels !

Deluxe room itself was very good, spacious and comfortable. Evening meals very good quality and presentation. Bar area friendly. Main hotel building is very oldy-wordly.

Hot tubs in the outdoor spa-area immediately outside the deluxe rooms make the area quite noisy - lots of chatting, singing, even screeching at times! Booking process for the pool means that you cannot just turn up when you fancy a swim.

Loved our stay. The spa was very nice, with 2 outdoor jacuzzis, an outdoor plunge pool and an outdoor sauna; as well as an indoor pool/sauna/steam room. Plenty of parking, a comfortable room and quality breakfasts and lunches. Didn't have dinner so unable to comment on evening meals.

Shame there was no gym onsite and shame the 'outdoor' spa facilities are not available during the hours that you can utilise the spa without having to book your daily 2 hour slot (e.g. 8 -10am and 18:00 - 20:00).

I surprised my wife with a stay at Seckford Hall for her 40th birthday, and stayed in the Loft room, which was marvelous. The grounds were in the grip of winter, and from an aesthetic perspective I'm sure are to be enjoyed more in spring and summer, but the building itself was wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly, the spa was enjoyable despite a couple of the rooms undergoing maintenance. The location was a real positive, easy to reach from London, just across the A12 from Woodbridge, close to Lavenham Falconry, and a short drive to the coast. We popped to Aldeburgh for dinner, and despite the flooding locally, the journey was easy.

More windows in the bedroom area of the Loft room, for light and air - although I imagine this is structurally unfeasible. The room was lovely.
