Very nice traditional hotel right in the center. The reception staff were helpful and freindly and the room was clean and neat.

I thought that this very nice hotel was let down by the restaraunt menu. The breakfast was good and quickly served but the meal we had in the evening was somewhat limited. I ordered a house burger as there was little else I liked, only to be told that it couldn't be done and would I accept just an ordinary burger. This was for the price very ordinary and not too well cooked. The next night we went across the road and ate very well for less money.

Very friendly staff, welcoming and willing to answer any queries. Rooms amazingly warm and radiators had to ne turned down to avoid melting. But with snow threatening the warmth was welcome.

The main meal courses in the evening could have been warmer, probably because we did have quite a wait between our starters and the main course However, the compensation for this was the offer of free deserts which were gratefully reveived! Breakfast lacked any fruit choices, either whole fruit or fruit salad to go with the yoghurt (that only appeared on the second day of our stay).

Clean, airy and stylishly decorated. Comfortable beds and well thought out room.

The lightning in the bedroom is went very bright which made getting ready a bit tricky. The breakfast was nice enough but the modern twist on a classic wasn’t to our taste.

Staff - very nice indeed, really helpful and hard working; Breakfast - excellent, with very good coffee! Friendly, helpful staff. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on. The bathroom had everything I needed and it was all very clean. Loved the central location too and that plenty of parking was available.

The light shining through the front window, all night - it lit up the room. Think it was from the hotel sign. Was impossible to block it out so it did interrupt sleep, sadly. Also, bathroom window only had curtain over bottom half of window so felt that I was exposing myself to unfortunate souls across the way when I was showering.

We had dinner in the hotel and the food was delicious. There was not a huge amount of atmosphere in the dining room as there was only one other couple dining but that is no one's fault as such! The breakfast was similarly delicious and freshly cooked. All of the staff that we met were very friendly, accommodating and professional

The Crown in Woodbridge has been well re-designed and is very well managed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms are comfortable with a good blend of modern and traditional. The breakfast serving was huge ! Most importantly the staff are warm and friendly human beings - everyone I’ve had contact with has been so good.

The photograph in my bathroom (Room 2) should have included the name of the photographer. It was not attributed to James Ravilious. These things are important both in principle and in practice as if his work is known more widely his family might benefit. The only irritating thing was that the notices (on the photograph for instance) and in the wall had not been stuck on straight ! Small details count for a lot. An improvement would be stronger reading lights near the bed.

The location was superb/central near the station and plenty of parking. The room very clean with great facilities. The breakfast was excellent with a continental buffet and choice of cooked breakfasts

I couldn’t open the windows as I like fresh air but realised I was overlooking the street and only found the air conditioner in the cupboard as I was leaving

Slightly underwhelming arrival at rear of property in the car park, but the room (No. 8) was good and clean, bed comfortable, shower excellent and a good cooked to order breakfast. Staff friendly and efficient. I didn't have dinner as I was at a wedding.

The room was large and pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the room was well supplied with electric sockets. Dinner was well cooked and well presented and the wines were of good quality. The whole building was decorated to a very good standard and furnished tastefully and had a very relaxed ambience.

The shower was not easy to negotiate for someone of less than Olympic fitness. For those of us with older joints, climbing in and out of the shower, with no grab handles anywhere, was somewhat perilous. The bottles of shower gel, shampoo and moisturiser were barely adequate for two people. The continental element of the breakfast disappointing: very small glasses for the juices, no cold meats or cheeses, no porridge and no plant based milks. The 'smashed avocado' proved to be a glutinous pulp which bore little resemblance in appearance or taste to the whole fruit. the one piece of toast on which it sat was from a supermarket sliced loaf - no sign of any artisan sourdough here - and the coffee could best be described as bitter at best. There was no sign of any toast and marmalade.
