The hotel is located very close to all main attractions, which is great. The décor is modern, quirky and so might not be to everyone's taste. Overall very clean, rooms are attended daily. However I missed a proper wardrobe - the room only had 3 hooks on the wall with 5 hangers for two of us. No shelving units, no additional storage space to keep your staff. There is only a glass shelve next to a bed, and not very big too. There is no fridge and the bathroom was rather small without any ventilation system. What was cool - the motion sensors waking up LED lights underneath the bed and inside the glass shelves edge. Mattress was very soft, which we didn't like as it was not very comfortable. But some people may prefer it over a hard mattress. The breakfast costs £ 12.50 per person, which you might think is not too bad, but the same food was served every single day-not even a change between scrambled and fried eggs for example. The breakfast was a bit of a downturn. However the staff is extremely nice, helpful, polite and creates a positive, welcoming atmosphere. Overall happy with the stay. This is more of a 'express' hotel, but the stay was generally very pleasant.

I didn't like the lack of wardrobe or any other storage space in the room. A small fridge would be nice too especially as there is no room service nor a restaurant in the hotel.

We loved everything about the location, hotel, staff. cost but our major problem was the lights under the bed. They look great and a fab idea to be on sensor but too sensitive. It come on and off all night, the room also had black out curtains which was a bit wasted as the lights were on most of the night

not having a switch to turn off the under bed lights

Clean, great location, sleek modern appearance and comfy. Loved the pub quiz on Friday night ans the sectioning of the reception/library/pub zones. Total blackout in bedroom, lighting under the bed was a fab touch.

PICKY MINUSES Lack of staff, no phone in room to talk to reception (and no instructions of how to contact them), no refill of throw away coffee cups/toilet roll/extra pillows other than going down to reception and asking. I'd still recommend this hotel, just things to be aware of.

Very central and easy to find, the staff were really polite and super helpful which was super. We had our pup with us and she was greeted like the celeb we tell her she is - the bedroom had nothing special for dogs but it was great to know that this was a dog friendly hotel where she was very welcome (she loved the lifts!!). The bar had a nice vibe and we enjoyed some drinks and had we had longer we’d certainly have visited again or taken part in the quiz!!

Sounds silly - but plastic cups in the room seem a bit silly when everyone is trying so hard to be more eco friendly

I liked the location its not far from the city centre... staff were lovely and helpful...breakfast was lovely a good selection of stuff.. overall it was nice experience....wigh a lovely atmosphere ... very safe and secure...

It's not that I didn't like, more of an observation....the sausage very lovely very peppery, so I would of liked a choice of a plain pork sausage aswell...maybe some tomatoes as well.... the mattress was very soft, I like a firm mattress so my sleep was disturbed....but to be honest most hotels are like this....maybe they should state what there mattresses are like 🤣 should be a law on it....but like I said more of an observation and preference to be honest..

The Staff were brilliant- friendly, cheerful and welcoming. Location was also fantastic for the city centre, providing a modern and fresh environment and perfect for a lone traveller. Hotel lobby was attractive and I enjoyed spending time in this area. Loved my room - smaller than expected, but everything I needed was provided.

Pillows were both a little flat and tired, and so I did not sleep as well as I would have liked. I stayed 3 nights and found that my beverage tray was not always topped up. Would have been nice if this had been done for me.

Great property with very clean facilities. Staff friendly and welcoming and gave clear instructions for parking access once we arrived.

Not hotels fault but fire alarm at 0330 required evacuation from the building. Didn’t seem to be very coordinated in ensuring everyone left the building as some were just choosing to ignore the alarms and return to room. The alarm was apparently due another guest smoking in the rooms. Letter of apology outside the door in the morning which was a nice touch. Parking is offsite in a parking garage at around £24 with a discount code given when booking made. About a 8 minute walk back to hotel. Need to book the park online to access the discount.

From the warm welcome at reception to the comfy bed at night. It has everything you need. Plenty power points (including one at the mirror), a real hairdryer (not one stuck inside a drawer). Strong shower, amazing pillows. The whole stay was excellent. We didn’t opt for breakfast, but it looked great. The whole atmosphere is chilled and there is plenty of room to relax at the bar, even play board games that are provided if you wanted.

There is actually nothing I could fault. If I wanted to really nitpick, then at checkout there was a sign on the desk saying, express checkout, beat the queue. We didn’t know where that was, it wasn’t quite obvious. Turned out it was a little yoda holding a clear bowl for you to drop your room key into lol. But, it wasn’t something that marred our stay. We asked a member of staff and were told, all was well.

The room was adequate. It could have had a easier way to hang damp towels, the towel rail was above the toilet a bit inconvenient and seemed very high up. The space to hang coats and clothes. It might have been better to have had the coat hook and coat hangers further apart and not so highly placed on the wall. Could have been better to leave the bin in the bedroom area and not the bathroom. The beds, the cleanliness of the room was excellent. The staff were all helpful and full of enthusiasm. Thank you we had a wonderful three days stay.

The high towel rail. The coat hook and coat hangers were too near each other. The bin in the bathroom.

Great location, less than 5 minutes to the Main Street and shambles Room was on the smaller size but modern, fun sensor lights on the bed (which was very soft and very comfy), fluffy pillows, very clean, oh wnd Yorkshire tea! The bar had a good selection (we even got a free welcome cocktail), board games available to play, pool and table football. Again area was clean and modern, we found ourselves wanting to come back to the hotel to hang out. The bar has good deals on top including student discount. Free Wi-Fi, excellent air-con, just an overall good experience. We absolutely loved our stay, and would happily come back.

If I HAD to be picky, there was no standard bin in the room? The only bin was in the bathroom and had different options for recycling- but the housekeeping staff told us it was fine to use for other items too :)
