Clean room ,comfy beds, friendly staff , plenty of electric sockets. The bathroom was a reasonable size . The hotel was in a good location ,close to shops and places too eat.

Nothing to do with the Roman Bath hotel ,but unfortunately ,every night at about 9pm a van selling kebabs parks nearby and runs a very noisy generator until 3 or 4 in the morning, it also attracts several groups of people throughout the night, which made sleeping difficult.

The location was absolutely amazing - we couldn't have been more central to York - it was perfect for travelling via public transport as not very far from train station. Lovely room and private bathroom. Very comfy beds - everything we could have asked for.

The windows needed to be double-glazed. Although we could shut them, there was quite a gap on the left-hand window (Room 1), which let in a draft, but more importantly you could clearly hear voices outside until late as well as the bin men and the incredibly loud beer delivery guys at what seemed like the crack of dawn, so all in all despite everything else being perfect, we unfortunately didn't get a great night's sleep.

Location was fantastic, right in the town centre . Obviously with this brings some noise but nothing more than other centre hotels we've stayed at. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Let us check in early and leave our bags on departure so we could spend the day in York. Top and bottom of it is it's a very old town centre pub so it's not going to be high end decor ect it's basic however it was very clean and comfortable and all we needed. It has an ensuite bathroom, TV , comfy bed, tea / coffee making , that's all we ask! Bargain for the price we will definitely return. Brilliant band playing all night downstairs til 11pm so after our show at the theatre we just stayed in there which was good as it was raining saved us trying to find elsewhere. We had a great time, it was a big bonus for us. Sharon did warns us of this incase we were bothered by the noise but for us it was a bonus but for others may be not ,however if I personally was bothered by noise before 11,pm I wouldn't stay in a town centre above pub place! Overall fab stay well be back!

No lighting at the entrance at the back which is up an alleyway. Bit scary for 2 girls on their own at night but I told the landlady and I'm Sure she'll be on it straight as she was very good!

Perfect location! The staff were really friendly, and allowed us a slightly early check in after we'd been soaked in the rain. Room was as expected for the price in the very heart of the city. Shower gel and soap provided, as well as tea and coffee facilities. TV with Freeview too. Towels and bed linen were nice and clean. Didn't hear too much noise as others reviews have stated, but that is maybe because it was a Tuesday night. Drinks downstairs are a good price. Separate access for guests if you stay out after the pub is closed, which is nice. Overall clean and pleasant stay!

The mattress was far too soft for me, so I ended up with a bad back in the morning. That's just personal preference I'm sure. The radiator in the bathroom was on constantly, so had to open the windows, which doesn't seem too cost effective for the pub. The bathroom could do with some mould-preventing sealant, as there were some mould patches above the shower and around the window. Overall, these things probably wouldn't stop me recommending staying here!

Where the Roman Bath is situated its right in the centre and not too far from anything, the check in process was efficient and the room was clean and equipped. The bathroom was clean and had a few toiletries which were helpful.

There is a noise email that you get but it's really down to people, the band finished by a reasonable time so wasn't an issue but there was someone staying there who had maybe lost their key and he really ruined the sleep we had banging on the door just below our window, although I haven't knocked points off it could be advantageous to have someone stay on the property over night to ensure silly people like this dont make a difference or are kept in check, there was also a lot of noise from streets but not the places fault jusy drunken stupidity. The room was also really hot, the radiator in the bathroom was on full and you couldn't turn it down which caused the room to be very hot too.

THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST AT THE ACCOMODATION,BUT THERE IS PLENTY OF CAFE'S NEAR IT THAT DO BREAKFASTS. CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND SPACIOUS ROOM WITH FACILITIES. MADE VERY WELCOME BY THE FRIENDLY STAFF AND HAD A BRILLIANT NIGHT IN THE PUB LISTENING TO LIVE MUSIC IN THE BAR.

BE AWARE THAT THIS ACCOMMADATION IS A LIVE MUSIC VENUE,SO IF YOU'RE ONE THESE THAT RETIRE TO BED EARLY, BE AWARE THAT THE BAR BELOW WILL BE NOISY. BUT THAT DIDN'T BOTHER ME HAD AN EXCELLENT NIGHT LISTENING TO THE LIVE MUSIC IN THE BAR.

The location is perfect, right in the centre of everything. We were warned it can be noisy when we booked and we were fine with that, as our trip was to enjoy the bars whilst there. It was midweek and by midnight it was quieter than expected. Only noise that did wake us was emptying of the bins nearby. But this didn't spoil our stay. The staff were lovely, our room (which was ready early) was clean and comfortable and we would definitely stay there again.

Emptying of bins nearby, but this isn't the hotel's fault.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were comfortable, the location is excellent. The live music in the pub was really good as well.

The only problem we had was the kebab van that was parked up in the square across the road. It was there until around 5am and the generator was so loud, you could still hear it with the windows closed, so we didn't get much sleep. Not sure if this is something that could be reported to the council due to the level of noise, if it disturbs many guests?

Excellent staff! Went over and above to make sure things went well, and were just outstanding. The location is perfect - heart of town, and picturesque setting. What an amazing place!

Was a bit loud at night, as people went by after the pubs closed - this should be expected for a central location. Wifi didn't work; had to figure out a way around that somehow. The windows, while beautiful and medieval looking, were a bit drafty.

Room only. Location right in the centre, great value. Museum in the basement is well worth a visit. Essentially clean. Tea and coffee facilities in room.

Be prepared for a little noise from passers by, might bother some but did not bother us. We were advised in advance about band playing in the evening, which finished at 11pm, no problem. Extract fan did not work and there was some mould around the shower, but no big deal.
