Location to stores, resturants and the baseball tournament was great. Indoor pool, walking distance to Applebee's, liked the water dispenser located by the elevator. Front desk clerk were nice throughout stay

Small elevator, too much chlorine in the pool, breakfast was poor. Not a great selection. Requested extra linen being that we had a room with a sofa bed, did not receive the requested items. We had 2 children in our room (myself and my husband) only had 2 wash cloths and 2 towels in room

The decor was nice. The breakfast was good. staff were friendly.

This could be a great hotel…but there was a bizarre mix of issues. Front desk asked me what my rate was…and also asked to change me from my reserved 2 queen room to a 1 king. No big deal, but odd. TV only had five working channels on tv (later I overheard front desk staff explaining to another guest that some of their older tv’s have problems). Building really needs sound proofing. I could hear people walking in room above me. Room door did no close quietly without turning and holding the handle…otherwise it closed very hard and loud. Garbage truck beeping at 4:30am woke us up. Bathroom sink drained very slowly.

The beds were clean and the breakfast was good.

The bathroom needs to be updated. Some of the tile was cracked and discolored in the bathroom and roaches kept coming out of the shower drain at night! Every time we would open the refrigerator door it would pull the whole refrigerator out of place! It was very annoying. They only put complimentary decaffeinated coffee in our room, not regular coffee so we didn’t use it at all.

when We left received a e-mail bill for the price of the room paid in full. On my credit card account page, I was charged an extra $30. Called , no one there knew why the extra charge was on there. Finally talked to Manager, she said it was for incidental charges. After talking with her, the extra charges were dropped. WHY wasn’t I informed on check in? Hopefully it was an oversight.

The reason I come back here is a staff that takes pride in their work, especially Ms. Q, the queen of the breakfast bar. She keeps the area spotless with better service than many restaurants. The food selection is above average, with mini-waffles to cook (so you can adjust portion size) and a variety of eggs & meat each day. Location is just off a main intersection; thanks to construction & lane blockage, it can be a chore to enter the parking, especially during rush hours. Dothan possesses a plethora of nice restaurants: I can recommend Charlotte's for real southern home cooking. Families will enjoy the pool.

Not dislikes, just issues to be aware of: this is not a luxury hotel: amenities are not flashy, and not a great variety. Showers can prove dicey, probably when many restrooms are in use: in one shower session, I had to adjust the temperature 3 times. Location on the west side of the "circle", so if you are working on the east side of town, prepare for some of the worst commuting in a small city, with turns out of the wrong lane, inattention to signal lights....

i dont eat pork so one day i didnt eat breakfast, i notice when they have turkey sausage there are pork sausage egg cheese biscuits but when they have pork sausage they still have sausage egg and cheese biscuit. i would love a choice of turkey and pork.

many staff were exceptional: Que, the doyenne of the breakfast buffet, was a prime example: she kept everything clean & “fronted” the products in the fridge. Guests did not need to spray the waffle maker: she had it covered. I told her I admired her attitude: she said jobs can’t just be about money; there has to be fulfillment. The buffet itself was better than I expected: different items each day. The sound protection for my room (215) was very good: I didn’t hear movement from nearby rooms. Room was a “suite” w/ loveseat sofa, 2 TVs. I would consider staying here again, but would probably bring my own bed linens….

Others have pointed out the need for a refurbishment. The bleach & hot water that keep the sheets white also destroy the elastic on the fitted sheet so it slides all over, and shrink the mattress pad so it no longer fits properly. Pillows had variety of firmness, but seemed old. Shower temperature varied significantly during use: reminded me of a dorm back @ Texas A & M where you had to listen for someone flushing the toilet & jump away from the shower stream to avoid scalding. Entrance is kind of cockamamie due to the changes made on the US 231 circle. Very limited amenities: soap & shampoo: when I asked if there were other options, I was directed to an Automat where I could purchase anything else.

Evening staff as well as day staff were outstanding.. professional.. breakfast was excellent. Ms. Q, addressed every guest. She asked if we needed anything else and proceeded to take my plates, when I had finished my breakfast. She was very mindful and took care of the breakfast area. Moreover, Ms. Q , was very friendly, smiling and welcoming! Masks were worn as protective safety measure for guests .

Can’t think of anything negative. Only one suggestion for room 202. Although, we were glad for the secretory lights, we were unable to close the curtains to block the lights.

The staff went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful. I was having trouble with my laptop and Blake even offered to let me use his personal phone. The front desk clerk printed my Powerpoint for me and I really appreciated her help. Que had a wonderful breakfast ready. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Everything was great but when you offer breakfast people are really looking for breakfast. Because we were there for boxing competitions and we booked this room because of the breakfast perk, so our boys wasn’t able to eat before the competition.. so that part was very misleading
