Hampton Inn & Suites Dothan

The staff was very friendly throughout the duration of our stay. I would recommend others to visit this location.

The website states no pets allowed at hotel. Therefore, I left my 3.5 pound Yorkie-poo at home. Which made me feel bad for doing so. Only to get to the hotel and see several people walking around within the hotel with big dogs. At this point I ask the clerk about pets being on the premises. And the clerk said that pets were allowed at hotel. But it was too late to go back and get my baby, due to being 3 hours from home.

The place has a Super Jedi housekeeping crew because this room was immaculate. The bathroom, tub, grout, everything ... was spotless. I mean like it was brand new. Zero dust or dirt in the room itself. Clean carpet. Beautiful bed sheets. I couldn't believe the place was so clean, so I actually went looking for dirt - found nothing. The staff was wonderful, bed was comfortable, air conditioner was working great. Great blackout window shades for day sleepers. I loved this place and definitely will go back and direct other travelers here as well. BRAVO!

Zero complaints.

The room was spacious. The shower had great water pressure. The tub drained well. The room was tidy, except for the pillowcase behind the refrigerator cabinet. Front desk staff was very personable. The hall and outside noise was not noticed in the room.

The sign showing where to turn into the parking lot was not easily seen. It either needs to be larger or moved closer to the highway. It would have been nice for the housekeeping staff to offer to pick up our trash on the second day if our stay.

The room and the wifi

There were no directions for the TV. Didn't know when breakfast was in the morning until I specifically asked. Didn't see it in the room or posted in the lobby. I was surprised that information wasnt in the room like in other hotels. Also the breakfast was good but not like the LA Quinta. Biscuits and gravy and sausage was a disappointment. Scrambled eggs can't be that expensive otherwise why would LA Quinta be doing it. Room prices were comparable.

The rooms were good and the reception area as welcoming.

The breakfast was mediocre at best. I totally understand the continental breakfast idea, but the breakfast here was not what it should have been given the price of the hotel compared to others in the area. The coffee was a 5 out of 10. 

The hotel was clean and well located for our needs.

First morning - room coffee maker did not work. It had a missing part. Only after I went down to the front desk and spoke with the manager was the issues resolved. Calling the front desk did not produce any action on their part.

The location was very close to where our events were held.

The elevator door was extremely slow to open and close. The elevator would move after people entered but before shutting the door. A sign was posted stating that no more than 5 people should be in the elevator at one time.

The hotel home office still has Covid phobia so the breakfast was in a bag with boiled eggs and some kind of pastry. I ate elsewhere after the first morning. Location was excellent. Staff friendly and hotel clean, bed very comfortable. Miss having room cleaned when I arrived later in the day. I was used to having my bed made and trash emptied. All in all an excellent stay. Be glad when jotel chains are normal again.

The front desk and housekeeping staff were helpful and friendly.

The only complaint we had was the breakfast. Would of liked to of seen some breakfast fruit ( not apples) both days we didn’t see yogurt out but saw guests with it. They served a lot of starchy foods.

The gentleman that checked me out was very helpful with my questions.

The price was 40% more than we have paid at any of the other Hamptons. We normally stay at least monthly in any state we are in due to driving over the road and charged that much.
