The cabin is cute and next to a lake. The location is convenient. Close enough to drive back and forth to the little town of Talkeetna. It was nice to have a small refrigerator, coffee maker, cups (with coffee/tea, etc!) and microwave. The bed was comfy too.

The water, (while noted by owner to be clean and tested) tastes horrible. A couple of bottles of water would go a long way. The cabin was very cold when we arrived and the one little heater was a bit insufficient for the space, especially the bathroom. The cabin is set up in such a way that the only place to relax and watch tv is in bed. Finally, a couple of plates, bowls and utensils would really be helpful.

The Sunshine Cottage was a wonderful place to stay, and we wished we could have stayed longer! The cottage had great amenities, was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We also had a short walk to a lake, and access to the owner's paddle boat. We loved taking it out on the lake in the evening. The owners were friendly and helpful! We cannot say enough good things about Sunshine Cottage.

Our favorite place we stayed in Alaska! It’s such a cute and thoughtful place to stay, just outside of the small town of Talkeetna. There’s small touches, like robes, a gas fireplace, Netflix, artwork and coffee and mini fridge that make you feel really welcome and comfortable. We had a relaxing stay and will definitely go back if we’re in the area again. Close to a brewery. There’s also a lake just down from the cottage. The owners are lovely, helpful and welcoming people.

This is a beautiful cottage with many personal touches. It is located in an idyllic setting with Sunshine lake just down the drive. Everything is clean, beautifully decorated, and inviting. The bed was very comfortable and we had the best night’s sleep here of our trip. The host was welcoming and gave great suggestions for activities and restaurants. Take note that the cottage is about 15 minutes from the town of Talkeetna.

You know how every time you book a room online you always wonder if the picture is an accurate representation and there’s the niggling fear that you’ll end up stuck somewhere gross and sketchy for the night? Have no fears with this place! It’s exactly as cute and cozy as advertised. It’s perfect for a solo traveler or a couple looking for a romantic retreat.

2nd night in this beautiful cottage during our visit to Alaska. It felt like coming home and we didn't want to leave anymore. Janice truly understands the soul of the traveler who enjoys the comforts of home.

The neighbor's dog came to say hello. We went back inside and when he left we walked in the other direction. 😁

Absolutely great stay, I like everything here. The bed was so comfy I never have had better. All the details, coffee machine, chimney place, decoration, hot room uppon arrival. Nice wilderness around. No more words needed. Thank you!!!

Location was quiet, comfortable and pleasant. Nice little retreat at the end of our busy trip. Clean, great decor, thoughtful additives for guests. Also appreciated the bug swatter as mosquitos were definitely in this area, obviously that can't be controlled but again another thoughtful item for guest's use. Thank you.

It was our best accommodation on our Alaska trip. The cottage is excellent, very clean, cozy and comfortable. Amazing lake nearby. Interesting small town with restaurants a couple of miles away.

This cottage was beautiful. All of the little touches were so sweet and made us feel right at home. The location was excellent and the host was super communicative.

We were just sad that we only stayed one night! We wish we would’ve stayed longer, so we’ll be back.
