Howard Johnson by Wyndham Holbrook

Good value for being one of the highest rated lodging sites in Holbrook. Checking in was simple and the staff was friendly to me and my kids.

There were some small drop-sized brown stains on the wall by the table. Walls did not block sound well from some guys who were talking loudly in the next unit. My room key stopped working after one night, so I had to go into the office to have them fix it. Fortunately, it only took them a minute to fix.

Breakfast was descent and the price for the stay was well worth the buck. The staff was so super friendly and helpful. I loved that they didn’t rush to put the food away or rush us to get our. Made my way to breakfast 20 minutes before the cut off.

It was very clean but I think it would help if they used a different detergent or used a fabric softener. The sheets were clean but comforter was stained. But like I mentioned, it was good for the price we paid. Plus I had my children and I felt safe. Staff was amazing down to earth and welcoming.

Everything. From the staff member checking us in to the room, breakfast, room, shower (great shower). Warm and friendly. Even the maid service was awesome. A very nice lady helped this old person (me) use the key to get into the room. Very nice lady. The lady checking us in was very social and friendly. We shared stories about our cats.

The room had some patch work done on the wall that was not professional looking. But at the same time, the room was adequate, large and the bathroom excellent.

The room was clean, spacious, and well-decorated. The bed and chairs were comfortable. The location is ideal if you are headed to Petrified Forest National Park. I don't think we could find a better room for this price. Great value for money.

The breakfast did not have many options. It included waffles, muffins, toast with butter or jam, and cereal. As hikers, we would have liked some protein. There was also coffee, milk, and orange juice.

The room was clean & large. We were too tired to enjoy the heated pool😑. We were not disturbed by traffic noise. The waffles at breakfast were very nice as well as the rest of the "grab & go" buffet.

The bed was a little too firm for me however my husband slept very well. There are a few fixes that the room needs that are neither expensive or time consuming. My husband is a contractor & commented on this. Pillows were not comfortable at all ...

It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Soft water for showers felt great!!

There was a humming noise all night long; not sure if it was coming from outside or within. Freezer of fridge had a thick layer of ice on it and was never defrosted. They may want to do so for future visits. Muffins and bread for toast was empty when we arrived for breakfast at 8:00 am. (Went till 9). Ended up with a bowl of oatmeal.

The room was spacious and fit our family of 6. The breakfast was good. I especially enjoyed the make-your-own waffles. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Overall this hotel was a great value compared to hotels in Flagstaff.

The room, specifically the bathroom, could have been maintained better. The bathroom was a little worn out with paint peeling on the door. The hot water was not very hot which was OK for me...but others liked a hotter shower. The microwave was a little small and underpowered, and I was hoping for a stovetop or some other way to heat food (rather than go out to eat).

Easy to find. Close to restaurant to eat. Pretty nice.

The breakfast was certainly not much at all. But I guess if u don’t pay at least $150 per night you can’t expect much. Couldn’t hardly understand the lady at desk,,, must have been from India,,, as usual. Then an American came and she was super.

The pool was the best feature of the hotel. It was warm and clean. The hot tub was also great! They provided complimentary towels at the pool, which was nice. The breakfast in the morning was satisfactory and provided enough variety.

I would suggest running the vacuum hose with a wand along the bottom of the bed and along the walls to pick up anything that collects there. We found a broken tooth on the floor along the bottom of the bed frame.

Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. TV worked and had lots of channel options, bathroom met expectations, as did toiletries provided. We traveled with our cat and it was easy to add her to the booking.

We only stayed one night, so there was not much for us to ask more of/expect differently. Location does come up quickly, and they are located next to other hotels/motels, so it can be a little confusing finding the location.
