Super 8 by Wyndham Van Buren/Ft. Smith Area

We were upgraded to ground floor handicapped room because my husband has walking difficulties and that room by service desk was quiet and had ice maker right across from it. It was big enough and quite large bath with shower and all accessible items. It was very clean. Everything worked great. AC was OK. Hot shower. Coffee maker right in the room was very nice after long driving hours.

Breakfast was very poor. Not even 1 fruit item or anything hot like eggs. Biggest concern we had when we have read that pets allowed for 20$ extra and we have seen lots of dogs different sizes walking in the hallway but CATS WERE NOT ALLOWED and when i asked customer service lady she just shrugged shoulders and said she did not know her own hotel policy. Something is very fishy here.

very comfortable. lady who checked us in was very nice. pool was open and my son loved it. beds in the room were very comfy. small breakfast was nice.

I’m assuming the bottom floor is smoking rooms, when you walk in and in the hallways you can smell cigarettes. we stayed on the second floor and in the room I couldn’t really smell the cigarette smell. when pulling up it seemed like a very sketchy hotel but was pleasantly surprised how nice it was after we got in the room.

We liked the facilities except that the pool was not available. The room we were in was good, but had a stale smell in it when we arrived. We carry a Essential Oil Diffuser so that took care of the smell. The beds were very good and the persons on the front desk were helpful and friendly.

We didn't like that when we got there we were taken to a room on the 2nd floor which was not ready. So we carried our luggage and belongings not only up the stairs, but then down the stair to a room that was available. Since the hotel does not have an elevator, it was a big deal. I am 71 and my wife 70 and carrying our overnight things around wasn't fun.

This facility is very convenient for anyone traveling on I-40. Staff was very friendly. This is also one of the few Super 8's I've seen with an indoor pool. I did not use it, but it might be a nice amenity for those traveling with kids. Breakfast offerings were adequate.

In the hallway there was the faint smell of cigarette smoke. I did not smell it win my room, however. This may be a facility that still allows smoking in some of its rooms.

NEVER book with booking.com they entered the wrong information and is cost us extra to stay. I contacted booking.com and I was told that the hotel didn't have any non smoking rooms available. This was a lie they had four rooms available. I told booking.com and they said they couldn't update the computer and was not allowed to refund the money because I paid by credit card. The young lady at the court stated that booking.com does this and many other mistakes all the time and then refuses to credit customers card, after all if you cancel upone arrival they will not refund any of your money and they know it will cost even more on site.The staff was very nice.

The apple juice was watered down and they didn't have much to select from.

The pregnant women that checked was the sweetest and most caring person I’ve met she tried to give me a room on ground floor so I wouldn’t have to use stairs I’m 65; I told her I would pay it forward and leave it for someone who was older than me because I needed the exercise!!! She was so sweet

Didn’t see the breakfast bar

I absolutely loved the little pancake machine! Usually when breakfast is included in a stay it’s mediocre but this definitely made a difference, it’s something I’ve never experienced anywhere else. Also the beds were soooo comfortable. Even more comfortable than my own bed! I appreciated the staff keeping everything clean at all times as well. To top it all off they tolerated my happy dog! Haha

Nothing, it was a great stay!

Easy to find; this was a stop on a long drive, though, so I didn't have any particular reason that brought me to Fort Smith. I choose Super 8 a lot because of the consistency of the decor and cleanliness.

It seemed like a lot of people were staying there, so I couldn't find a parking space near my room and there were a lot of people outside talking late at night, if I remember correctly (I stayed in a long string of Super 8s on consecutive days, so I may not have remembered the right one). I understand there is no breakfast because of covid-19, but then they should take off the "Breakfast Included" banner on Booking.com where I booked it.

Everything was nice at the Super 8. Wish all Super 8's would learn from this one. Staff was great and accommodating. Room was excellent. Although there were people staying in rooms near or beside us, they were quite or the room was well insulated that we didn't hear them. I would highly recommend this Super 8 to anyone. I would stay here again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. This Super 8 should be a model for all Super 8s!

It is always clean, and majority of the staff are amazing.

There was one shift leader (I think) that was absolutely horrible. I think if she smiled her face might have broke.
