Hotel Atwater is a lovely hotel with modern, beautifully appointed rooms. The staff was friendly and efficicient, getting a boatload of guests into rooms well before the 4 p,m. check in time.

I don't really agree with a $44 resort fee without any resort ammenities at the hotel - no pool, spa, golf, tennis or anything that can be construed as resort facilities. It is a nicely appointed hotel in a resort-like area. They offer to loan you beach towels but that shouldn't cost $44. Perhaps summertime guests get entry into Descanso Beach Club included in the resort fee, but that doesn't really apply in the winter.

Loved the Hotel Atwater. Location is great. Close to the water but set back enough to avoid the noise of the crowds. Beautiful property. Elegant design. Our room was TINY but thoughtfully designed and beautiful. Tiny fridge with 2 gratis bottles of Prosecco and bottled water. Lovely fluffy and thick white towels. Comfortable bed. Nice $20. credit per day at Avalon Grill or small cafe near lobby. Staff was great. Highly recommend!

AC/Heat was a bit loud and control not easy to use. Room was TINY. Out view was of a wall.

The room was very small.

Absolutely loved the location and design of the hotel. The lobby area and access to the cafe were very convenient. We checked-in around 7pm. Appreciated the welcome champagne as well as discounts at nearby restaurants during specific times.

The sink drainage was a bit slow.

The front desk staff, specifically Ayala, were amazing! From the time we arrived until the time we departed, they were extremely accommodating and made great recommendations on places to eat and things to do. The hotel is the most aesthetically pleasing on the island in my opinion. And the bedding was very comfortable.

There was nothing that I did not enjoy, other than not being able to stay longer!

It was a lovely place, better than I have expected. My family and I enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and up to date. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. We even extended our stay, there was a report of high winds and storm coming in the afternoon, it was not bad that we missed the last ferry going back to Long Beach. We were given a different room but it’s clean and well prepared all the same. We loved our stay and would definitely book them again if we go back to Catalina.

Location in the heart of Avila. Comfortable bedroom with an awesome bed. They provided 2 sparkling wines in our arrival which was great. Large bathroom.

AC was not working perfectly. Shower with low water pressure but not a big deal. They offer a 20usd gift in some places in the island in the first day, however the check-in is around 4pm and some places closes at 5, it doesn’t make any sense - it should be ok to use that along all the stay

It's a beautifully renovated historic hotel, very clean & fortunately thoughtfully updated. It still has a historic ambiance. Our room was charming, smallish but quite adequate, typical of earlier times when there was less waste - even of space. They give you a certificate for a discount at a charming space adjacent to the hotel, similar to a Starbuck's. There are also discounts at some local establishments, all only available on the day of arrival. Check in is at 4:00, that kind of eliminates the breakfast perk.

Perhaps because of it's historic construction, there seemed to be a lot of noise from the room above us. We were awakened about 6 AM to what sounded like a circus above us. We called the desk but it didn't stop until about 7:30 when there was suddenly silence.

Although the room is very nice, modern and clean, it was extremely small. I mean the room is smaller than the rooms on cruise ships. That being said, the area is so nice that you hardly spent any time in the room anyway.

The quality of our stay exceeded our expectations! Absolute perfect location, such helpful and kind staff, and the room was pristine. We got complimentary sparkling wine, a $20 credit toward food/drink at one of their restaurants, and a discount on any tours/activities we booked through them (minus zip lining)! My one caveat would be that the room was very small - this was no problem for us at all but for those requiring more space, just something to keep in mind. The bed was incredibly comfortable though, I I never sleep well in hotels but in this one I slept like a rock!
