The hotel is under renovation. So the rooms have been completed and they were clean, nice and quiet. The halls are still a little messy. Due to renovation, there was no complimentary breakfast. In the meantime, it's false advertisement.
The locations was in a scary ghetto like area. Hotel was gated. Some homeless and shady people walking around outside the gates. I charged twice and I don't understand why they did that. I have yet to find out. Make sure they don't charge you twice if you plan to stay here.

It was just cereal and a waffle maker did not expect to be a full on gourmet breakfast at this place
The air-conditioning seemed to have a mind of it own. and would only blow out super cold or not at all. The place could've been a little cleaner but it was only $74 a night

Breakfast was yummy. I really liked the front desk staff. They also gave me a room overlooking nature insteada the parking lot which I appreciated.

Location. Scary location.Alot of suspicious looking people walking around outside all night. The hotel across the street is a meeting place for drug dealings in their parking lot.

Very nice rooms and comfortable stay with very helpful staff. Reliable WiFi and local TV channels. Elevator and luggage carts are definitely a plus.
The Neighbourhood was a little rough. Make sure to not leave things in your car. High refundable deposit.

Continental breakfast is always good!
My wife didn't like the sound of footsteps in the room above ours in the middle of the night - and all-day-long. That didn't bother me but to her it was spooky. We'll, it was Halloween weekend. I guess spookiness was included in the package. No extra charge.

Hotel placed in a quite area of Bakersfield, many places to eat even in walking distance to the hotel, comfortable beds, big room. Would go back
There was a new employee at the check in area and its service was very slow, we waited around 30 minutes to finally get to the room.
