Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Bakersfield Central

Hotel is only serving grab and go breakfast. Okay. I get that. A sign of our times... Breakfast is served 6 something to 9:30. Sharp. I walked out if my room at 9:29 and by the time I got to the lobby at 9:32 they were putting the breakfast away and wouldn’t let me take anything. Even though it was still out. Bummer since I had come in very late the previous night with no dinner. But the hotel is nice. The bed was comfortable. The shower was hot. And a Taco Bell near by for breakfast......

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a short drive to downtown Bakersfield and the free breakfast was good.

The location is a bit rough. Being close to the highway is convenient but doesn't make for the best hotel setting. I found the heating and air system in the room a bit frustrating and noisy.

no fresh fruit, except apple or orange no berries or verity. not much to choose from with gluten free. no almond milk

i made the reservation with booking i guess, but i paid twice as much as if i had just walked in that day. rude and of course no one will say anything. unless i raise a stink about it that's not great customer service.

butter had to be asked for, wasn't out for guests

having to walk the entire length of the serving line for different sitems: eg the cream cheese had to be asked ofor after toastin my bagle It was stored in the refrigerator in the kitchen. host was greaciouos bur had to beasked forboutter and cream cheese

Clean and quiet room. Big screen TV. Equiped with a roomy stand shower without a slippery tub. Bed is soft and comfortable. Breakfast is good with many choices (I like the oatmeal with so many different toppings).

There is only one switch for both light and fan in the restroom, the fan appears to cause some weird smell.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Location was excellent for access to restaurants and to the freeway. It was a great stay for our stop on a road trip.

Air conditioner was very loud in the room and did not quiet during the night, which made it difficult to sleep.

Everything, the staff was pleasant and accommodating, especially the desk manager.

The window blind was broken; the manager rigged it so I was able to get natural light. it wasn’t replaced or repaired during my week long stay

my only issue with my stay is that the constant sirens from the street. I would probably ask for a room on the back side of the hotel next time to see if that makes a difference before giving up totally and trying a different hotel further away from the busy road.

Extra clean and well organised hotel. Free parking on site, great breakfast with many choices of salty and sweet foods. Staff was welcoming.

Location outside the center, so if you need to see the “nightlife” of Bakersfield, a car ride is needed.

the kitchen manager came introduced herself and gave us the opportunity to thank them for the excellent service.

everything was great, I have been staying at Fairfield Hotels for along time.
