Loved everything!!!!! Absolutely the best, most caring and professional staff I’ve come across on my US travels. Everything and everyone was AMAZING! The lady at the bar was very quick to identify a solo traveller and put me at ease. The maintenance guys adjusted my AC on request (the standard setting was too low for me). Absolutely all reception and security personnel were top notch professionals! You can rent out a bike for free; there’s always free bottled water available… The pools are out of this world! If it were up to me, I’d live there! LOVED IT VERY VERY MUCH! Recommend!!!

Didn't realise when we booked this that it is part of a giant resort, with all sorts of facilities - including an area dedicated to star gazing, as the property is on the global 'dark skies' register. We loved that! Our room was gigantic, probably one of the largest rooms I've stayed in outside the Middle East, and featured a four-poster bed, a kitchenette, a fireplace, desk, oversized bathroom and a lovely balcony overlooking the swimming pool, which is only shared with a few other guests.

We would have loved to stay longer, we didn't get the chance to use the fitness centre, dine in at the hotel or tour the facilities properly. Our pool was a little dirty - but it was mostly leaves that had blown in, and it was a bit windy!

Really cute lodging in the desert. Liked the pools and all the facilities. The gardens are lovely. Staff are friendly. We only stayed a night but wishes it was more as they have put so much effort into making this a great oasis in the desert with lots of stuff to do. Rooms were comfy and clean.

Very minor as we liked everything but the family pool had a neighbor on his balcony who spent a lot of time smoking. Also the hot tub looked as though a little maintenance on the lining was needed- it was however sparkly clean. A peloton bike or a concept2 rower would transform the gym.

Booking.com not recommended Booking.com Bad customer service, Bait & Switch, Misrepresentation At Casa del Zorro in Borrego Springs, room booked through Booking.com with total charges seeming to be about 10% cheaper. At checkout, there was a 'resort fee' The Resort was kind enough to waive the extra fees. It is really not worth the potential problems we've encountered with Booking.com at this and our previous vacation destination.

We loved our room. It was located on ground floor with little patio overlooking one of the pools. Some people were not happy about noise coming from pool when children played, but it did not bother me. The property also has another 2 big lap pools 3 minutes walk. I used them too on a very hot day. The water was on a cool side and it was great and refreshing. The restaurant was well run , good menu and drinks. We also loves metal statues located all around Borrego Springs.

I was not sure if air-conditioning will be effective if outside temperature is high (can be over 100F). We did not use air-conditioning because thick walls protect you from outside high temperature and heat season was not established (April).

Lovely grounds, great restaurant, very clean room

Downstairs room in pool area had no windows. It had a door that opened but here I was, in the beautiful desert air, and either I had an entire door open all night or stayed shut in with no windows that open. This is terrible design. Also, when I booked the room, the photo was of an upstairs room. Instead I was given this downstairs with no separate back porch. You share the porch with someone else. I tried to switch the room at the front desk and was told in a fairly curt tone this was not a possibility. The upstairs pool room has a door that opens and probably no windows but at least the door opens to a private upstairs balcony. That is not a problem.

This resort surprised us with the excellent rooms, delicious food, as well as friendly and helpful staff. To be honest, we had not really known what to expect but the resort excelled in every way. This was mid August, so the place was fairly empty, but we love the desert heat and Borrego Springs is a fantastic place to get away from it all (and the opposite of places like Palm Springs!). The town/valley is slightly quirky and has an undefinable charm. We certainly hope to come back for longer.

The only thing that we could criticise was the temperature of the pools, which were very warm. On the other hand, it is environmentally sound not to cool the pool water.

The landscape was beautiful, clean and peaceful. We enjoyed the outdoor seating with breakfast and the pipe in music. I would like to have the pipe in music through our the dinning area. Dinner was fabulous! Lucy, was very helpful and enjoyable to work with. She helped me put together a 80th birthday celebration at the restaurant on April 25th.

I have not been to Zoro in over 25 years to say the least the place is immaculate the grounds the rooms I couldn’t get over how clean and perfect down to every pool and JacuzziThe people that work there are wonderful and the food was fantastic I recommend the rack of lamb looking forward to our next trip with the whole family

Beautiful and spacious resort in the middle of the desert. Had a very nice casita which, although very nicely renovated, kept its old time charm. Very good and nice restaurant. Performant WIFI. Nice and helpful people. Good quality towels. I felt just great.

Well, the prices are also pretty upscale
